Someone once said criticism is next to satanism. I'm not against speaking the truth, but against the hypocrisy of the so-called truth speaking Africans. After speaking the truth, he went on to call Africans baboons, baboons!!! This same people will speak against racism and the whites referring to the black man as monkeys. Remember, in the west, there are many who behaves worse than animals but what do these low esteemed Africans do,? they call it the newest trend and emulate it whereas if it were done by an African, they start spewing their self righteous truths. savagefinder: oh.. I know your type "the hopers". The little minded ones, let's take a trip down memory lane, Russia had to admit that they were backwards industrialy before they plunged into the revolution, France had to clamp down on themselves because of the trouble that religion caused in thier country, or should we talk about Britain that had to revolt against thier Kings for a better future or America who went into civil war and had to forcefully turn policies to favour private investors or China who got tired of corruption and went into massacre because of it.. What do all these have in common, they first of all accepted reality and then went to take it by the balls.. The cloud of optimism washed away and they saw their country for what it really was and the anger was the driving force.. Which of these countries today doesn't stand as the top decision makers in the world? But over in Nigeria, what are we fighting over? Christian and Muslim wars, igbo and hausa wars.. Shiite wars, while corruption thrives but we would rather sit back and bask in the aura that "e go better". No bro look around you "it is not better" accept the reality and let it be the driving force... Accept the truth and don't be a princess, we are superstitious and hypocrisy lies around us.. A continent with more churches and mosques than humans and yet corruption is in every corner.. Who are deceiving?
Until we accept these fact wholesomely and begin to fix it, we are in the banana Republic.. You obviously didn't get my point. It would be foolish for any African to deny the situation. But still, you don't get my point. I for one knows I'm not superstitious and I have friends and acquaintances who aren't. It comes to me as an insult to call all Africans what you just called them for I'm African. It's same thing Baba Anikulapo Fela complained of, about your leaders, our leaders calling us derogatory names. Show some respect that's my point. You're currently guilty of the hypocrisy you complain about. For if you come to a faceless forum like nairaland to create anarchy and hatred for the land of our birth, the thoughts take root and manifests and at the end, you'll end up complaining and still doing nothing about it. What hypocrisy could be greater than that. Africans are naturally complacent, know that it's only a few ready minded people brought the change in the west. The people needs to be led. That's exactly why you see the biafrans sticking with Nnamdi Kanu. A case scenario is Dubai, you'll barely hear or see any negative news about that place but who says they don't have slums and poor impoverished people over there? My point remains the thought pattern. If you don't change your mind, your reality remains the same. When you don't respect the motherland, how would you want to sacrifice even a fingernail for her and you come online to bash the motherland and still leave the revolution to who? Check your thoughts mate. Sorry, I'm at a fuel station now typing this, just rushed it down but I hope you understand now my point. |

Government agencies in Nigeria NEVER reply emails...no matter the message in your email.
Yes, I have written to a bunch of them asking for certain information or expressing my displeasure over their staff conduct, but they never acknowledged receipt of my email let alone reply me.
But the day I wrote to UK Department for International Development (DFID), I got a reasonable reply in less than 24 hours.
What does that tell you about how we do things in Nigeria?
I think Nigerian government should just privatize her agencies I like that you mentioned "the Nigerian government ". Unlike some people who would because the actions of a selected foolish power flexing elites call down evil on my beloved Africa and Africans Thank you. |

savagefinder: Mr.. He said the truth.. Africans are light years behind in terms of everything.. And we are too primitive in our thinking.. Imagine a country faced with recession instead of trying to fix it everyone is asking for their Republic.. Yes.. We all deserve to be called baboons.. You, me, your father, my father if we act like them in the midst of a civilized world then we are baboons U'll never know. I agree with you, you're actually a baboon for not knowing there were years when the civilized world was once worse than Africa and there was nothing to compare them with. You're also a baboon for not knowing having this mindset will continue to increase the negative thought soup against Africa and the result is what you see and complain about. Until you know the whites that wanted a so-called civilized society didn't just sit idle and increase the negative thoughts against their beloved states but went through executions and life threatening situations with positive thought forms to actualize their desired results, you remain one of the baboons in Africa. |

ruffhandu: All you talking of money, if you know how much obasanjo wasted, you will open your mouth and leave it open. Not to mention the one Yaradua and Jonathan added.
Corruption and foolishness/greed has reduced Nigeria to nothing.
I don't know what happened to the money obasanjo voted, but I think they did it like most fg runs, shared it amongst themselves.
I remember when the minister under jona, Nebo, complained of vandalism. The vandals were just doing it mindlessly. I didn't see any gain in it for them, and that made me think they have sponsors: who are either political opositions who just want the govt to fail; or businessmen who want to sell their wares.
My suggestion: Let what happened in telecommunications industry happen in power sector. Licence small operators and encourage them. If a small company generates and distributes power to a cluster, he'll be consistent. Many of such will light up Nigeria. And since there lines do not travel through long lonely distance, the case of vandalism will be curtailed.
Note: Each company can use any preferred means to generate their power.
A case: Coca-Cola ph generates it's power, with.gas supplied by one of the oil companies. They hace steady power supply, they couldn't afford to lose few seconds of outage. Phed approached to sell some power to phed so phed will in turn sell to the public. I don't know how that panned out.
Politicians are one of our greatest problems, followed by other Nigerians. I like dis. Thanks, but you should know that no one has come out to suggest that. If u have an idea to generate and maintain a steady electricity production, please pm daddy let's talk. Got a deal going. Politics › Re: What Measure Do You Think We Can Use To Generate 24/7 Electricity? by correctguy101(m): 8:17pm On Aug 06, 2017 |
Ekinematics: Let states provide their own electricity. Delete this national grid nonsense. Wise talk, but those whom the national grid nonsense favors won't let that bill see the light of day. I personally vote for every state having and producing their own everything, that way u will see states competing to do more than the other state, hence development will come automatically. Not all this FG nonsense. It's just giving the state governments a very big excuse to be inactive. |

It works everytime.
Your brain will reset when withdrawal symptoms sets in and you have to choose between codeine or tramadol and eating the first meal after two days of hunger.
It won't be easy for if you buy drugs, no food. If you buy food, no drugs. Force yourself into such impoverished condition where you barely have two hundred naira for food and become free.

Benita27: I've come to the realisation that when there're issues between parents, the "Mother" usually gets sympathy from the kids. There's no smoke without fire. That you haven't caught your mum cheating doesn't mean she may not have cheated on your dad ever. I don't support the domestic violence but this isn't your call but elders. It's disrespectful calling his bluff for him. Let an older person with more wisdom handle this issue, your actions could aggravate things.
The first paragraph of your letter shows you took your mother's side and your dad would see it that way. Why not write him another letter, telling him of the good times you all shared together as a family, and stating why you would love him to change and make things work between him and your mum. Do this then invite the elders to talk to them both.
Most marriages go through this phase over time 'cause "Love" isn't enough. What they need to live with is wisdom. I like the idea of writing him and helping him remember the good times they've had together. But from the op, I don't think it will help, even with elders talking and the likes. He'll surely see calling the elders as making gossip at his expense to outsiders. A cheating breadwinner will always justify any bad behavior. Trust me, I know from expy. The of such a one pride is immortal. Until the op and his mother proves beyond reasonable doubt that they could take care of themselves independent of the man ignoring him or even pretending he doesn't exist, I would even suggest a separation for the moment. Give him all the freedom to ruin himself, his pride will give way when he's sated and remember how irrelevant he is to those of his own. Seeing the woman and the children doing well without him is the best reply to defeat such a pride. It might even sicken him to the extent he'll beg for his family back. Just my experience from a separated home. mind my typos please. |

Explorers: Love portion.
Love can be magical and difficult to understand.
It can also cause a lot of pain.
Nevertheless, the scientific community is studying ways to brew love potions, a potentially disturbing and shocking development.
The neuropeptide oxytocin is being studied to examine its ability to help with relationships.
Some scientists are skeptical that we can truly create love potions.
But if researchers were able to successfully use oxytocin or other substances as love potions, the ethical implications would be profound.
These drugs would probably be used to support rather than form love, but the idea of trying to recreate something as complex as love can be seen as playing God.
Additionally, forcing someone to fall in love with you, if that could happen, would be highly unethical.
It would violate a person’s autonomy, and the love potion may be considered a date-rape drug.
Furthermore, we may just be putting a Band–Aid on our problems by becoming dependent on love drugs to cure heartbreak and fix relationships.
It may be wiser and certainly better to deal with love the old-fashioned way.
This will break homes chai.
Secretaries love portioning their male bosses.
Drivers, gatemen vs oga's wives. Aisha Buhari get ready. Politicians go just dey use portions dey win souls for their party campaigns. E go too hot for Nigeria. just imagine Boko Haram getting their hands on one 40footer of that portion? |
