The Kano State Government led by Abdullahi Ganduje has announced the sacking of the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.

The Director-General, Media and Communications, Kano State Government, Salihu Yakasai, said this on his official Twitter handle, @Dawisu, on Monday.

“The Kano State Executive Council has unanimously approved the dethronement of the Emir of Kamo Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II at a special sitting held today by the council,” he tweeted.

Sanusi ascended the throne in 2014, following the death of his granduncle Ado Bayero. His grandfather Muhammadu Sanusi I reigned from 1953 to 1963, when he was deposed by Premier Ahmadu Bello. His father Aminu Sanusi was Chiroma of Kano.

Prior to his accession, Sanusi was an economist and banker. He served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2009 to 2014, when he was suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan after raising the alarm on the $20bn alleged to be missing.

The emir has been engaged in a battle with the governor since last year amid allegations that he supported the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abba Kabir-Yusuf.

The monarch has since been under investigation for alleged corruption while his emirate was split into five to whittle down his influence.

MediaTek officially introduces its latest Helio P95 chipset. This chipset also immediately became the engine for the global version of OPPO Reno3 Pro.

The Helio P95 is targeting middle-class smartphones by bringing some improvements compared to Helio P90. Although architecturally, Helio P95 is similar to its predecessor.

Helio P95 Features
Specifically, MediaTek claims Helio P95 offers a 10 percent increase in performance compared to Helio P90. This increase was obtained from the new AI processing unit .

Thanks to this increase, Helio P95 supports HyperEngine technology made by MediaTek. This is the first time the MediaTek ‘P’ series chipset supports this technology.

HyperEngine is a technology intended to improve gaming performance by optimizing hardware and software .

Helio P95 has two ARM Cortex-A75 cores with a speed of 2.2GHz and six-core ARM Cortex-A55 with a speed of 2.0GHz

This chipset is also equipped with a Power 94 GM GM46 GPU which is also embedded in the Helio P90.

Helio P95 supports RAM memory capacity up to 8GB LPDDR4X with UFS 2.1 storage. For connectivity, this chipset does not yet support 5G, only 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth 5.0.

However, MediaTek said there was a slight increase in the Helio P95, for example in additional support for 64MP resolution cameras and improved performance on AI.

With AI support, the camera is able to track five human photo poses, make full-body AR avatars, 3D pose tracking, to night mode.

Remember, MediaTek is the main chipset powering TECNO mobile phones and they said that a number of new smartphones powered by Helio P95 will begin to be marketed in the near future, one of which is the global version of OPPO Reno3 Pro which is ready to be marketed.

For its pricing, I'd say most of the specs are on point. Only real issue is that the pop up looks shaky and the 3300mah battery is not impressive at all. Otherwise it's nice, it will provide a good competition.

I seriously agree with you, but then there a phones with better battery options like the Camon 12 air

I stumbled on my old k800i Sony Ericsson phone yesterday. Does anyone know where I can get the battery and charger. I showed​ some guys in computer village but they seem not to have an idea.

Sony Ericsson is an old phone so getting the battery and charger will be very difficult that's why I love Tecno phones whose parts are readily available

Talksport’s supercomputer predicts the Premier League table at the end of the season and it isn’t good news for Arsenal.

The Premier League has already been won by Liverpool. Despite their first loss of the season coming against Watford last weekend, it would take something out of the ordinary for the Reds not to wrap up their first-ever Premier League title.

However, the race for the top four is still very much on because of the two-year ban placed on Manchester City and the poor form of Chelsea Leicester City and Tottenham.

Arsenal who are down on the Premier League table has been given hope of taking one of the European places despite having one of their poorest ever seasons in this campaign.

No one knows for certain how this season will end, but TalkSport’s supercomputer was asked to predict how this campaign would eventually finish, and it didn’t bring good news the way of Arsenal.

The supercomputer claims that Norwich City, Aston Villa and Bournemouth would be relegated at the end of this season and it went on to predict that Manchester United would leapfrog Chelsea and make a top-four finish.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester City make up the rest of the top four while Chelsea is predicted to finish fifth and make the Champions League if Manchester City’s ban is upheld.

According to the computer, Arsenal would miss out on European football as they would finish ninth on the league table.
