MrSly: You guys always come up with preposterous argument. Who ever confused Lagos with Lagos State. Have people been confusing Kano with Kano state or Jigawa with Jigawa state. You guys create argument out of your own stack illiteracy. A lot of people do. Lagos is one of the five divisions in Lagos State, the other four are Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu and Epe. The last four were part of the defunct Western Region and were developed by the Western Region Government largely. I am an Ijebu man from Epe and do find it offensive when people ignorantly call me a Lagosian. The indigenous people of Ikeja are Aworis, Badagry are Eguns and Aworis, Ikorodu and Epe are mainly Ijebus (a few Lagosians settled in Epe with King Kosoko of Lagos when he was exiled). |

imaxx: Good afternoon house, please I need an urgent reply. I got a one-month Schengen visit visa to Portugal, my motive is to board a train to Spain when I arrive in Portugal. My question is will I be deported back to Portugal by the Spanish Immigration due to my Nigerian passport, hope I won't have a challenge at the Spanish border. The reason for my going to Spain is to seek Asylum. Please help a novice brother who has never left 9ja before. There is no immigration check at all the borders of Portugal and Spain. All the border posts are no longer manned. You can buy bus ticket online and board from Lisbon (preferably Oriente bus station). |

AlphaTaikun: That N100 was a lot of money back in 1979. I remember buying grilled meat (suya) for N20 back in 1982 and 2 of us could NOT even finish the large quantity. However, she and her spouse bought a house in Satellite Town in Lagos State for N100 through LOTS or BALLOTS. That Satellite Town area belonged to the indigenes of that area before being leased from them and compensations paid.
It was also located (as of 1976 when the Satellite Town construction started to 1979) in the undeveloped suburbs or outskirts of Lagos State.
As of late 1960s my grandfather purchased a large plot of land (on lease) in Lagos for £20. I saw the receipt myself back in the 1990s. You would have bought Suya for 20k in 1982 and not N20. A cartoon of beer was N1 in 1982. The woman meant she paid N100 as deposit in 1979 because Festac and Satellite houses were sold on mortgage. |

With the global noise you will even think Israel is occupying the whole Arab world. In 540 AD, Arab land was only the Arabian Peninsula but today the Arabs have virtually taken over the whole of the Middle East and North Africa. On the second map, no one can even notice the Israeli’s land (coloured black) because it so small, yet no one is giving them breathing space. I don’t even understand why these self centred Arabs are fighting for when even their holy book confirms that small portion belongs to the Israelis. Surah 5:20 - 21 20. When Moses said to his people, “O my people, remember God's blessings upon you, when He placed prophets among you, and made you kings, and gave you what He never gave any other people.” 21. “O my people, enter the Holy Land which God has assigned for you, and do not turn back, lest you return as losers.”

Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghana To Accept Nigerians, West Africans Deported From The US - Mahama by cosade(m): 3:37pm On Sep 12, 2025 |
DomPerignon: Not true.
No country can deny their own.
The reason for choosing Ghana as a hub to dump refugees stems from cost of ferrying each individual deportee to their country of origin.
By choosing one destination, in this case Ghana, several nationalities from West Africa can be sent to one location and from there the Ghanian will then send them to their individual countries.
Ghana was chosen because of its geostrategic location in west Africa as it sits smack in the middle .
It is all down to logistics and costs to the US gov. It’s obvious you don’t have any clue about deportation process. USA ——- If a deportee's home country is unwilling to accept them, the deportee is typically released from immigration detention in the U.S. after a certain period (e.g., 180 days), as a country cannot be forced to take someone back and indefinite detention is unconstitutional. Diplomatic pressure, such as withholding foreign aid or denying visas to the recalcitrant country's citizens, may be applied by the U.S. to encourage cooperation. In some cases, the U.S. may also attempt to deport the person to a "third country" that is willing to accept them, but this requires that the third country also be a safe option for the deportee. |

isyourboy: I’m not the begging type as I have a lot of things going on for myself. My sister joined her husband in Canada last year courtesy of her husband. Outside of the little 50k, 100k there that this man used to send to me (I don’t know how much he gives my parent — In law, by the way ), he’s never thought of establishing me in business or find a way for me to join my sister in Canada.
Even most times you have to remind him before he send the pittance he sent to me. Last week, I told him to find a way for me to join my sister in Canada, and he said he’s still paying for the debt he took for my sister to join him and he want to send her to school also. Meanwhile I didn’t know this. Okay then I can wait. After then I told him to find me a bulk sum so I can start some business. He asked how much and I said 5M naira would be enough, he cut the phone, called him back and send him msg on WhatsApp which he read and didn’t reply. I called my sister and told her what her husband did and she said she will talk to him.
You have been in Canada for a while and little things to give back to the family is difficult for you? Not his fault If I were to be your brother-in-law, I will blacklist you and your family members in Nigeria. |

RandDigital: Most of the world believes in a 2 state solution, including SA. Those who believe in 'Israel takes all approach' are the evil ones who believe in domination and violence - the bloodthirsty rednecks in the White House included. “Most of the world believes in a 2 state solution, but not the Palestinians.”The so called “Palestinians” have rejected two state solution four times. As a matter of fact, if they truly want a two state solution today it’s easy. All they need to do is to put good governance structure in place and put their energies in developing the country but not digging underground networks to fight Israel. |

Each adult dependent ( spouse for example): 50 percent of the main applicant Each minor (kids) : 30 percent of the main applicant.
Main applicant= 9,480 Spouse = 50 % of 9480 Minor = 30% of 9480
Add together, that's your minimum pof for family of 3, you multiply your answer in euros by cbn rate Are you talking from experience? |
