Most teams in the English Premier League have one or more African players. The notable exception to this trend is Manchester United. Unfortunately, this is not by accident. Rather it is by design. Sir Alex, who calls the shots at Man U has made it clear that he does not want to sign African players. His reason being that he cannot afford to lose them during the African Cup of Nations.

Well Sir Alex, losing one or two African players for one month every two years will not kill your team. Chelsea still won the EPL last season despite losing Drogba, Kalou, Essien and Mikel during the Cup of Nations in Angola.

Knowing this fact, it is surprising to see the level of support Man U enjoys on NL and in Nigeria in general. Next time you’re looking for an EPL team to support, please look for one that at least employs Nigerian or African players. There are plenty to choose from.

With the way Citeh set up it was going to be difficult for most teams to get any change out of them. With the congestion in midfield, there was little chance of any creative player having much success down the middle. From what I could see, the only viable option for beating Citeh y'day was to supply crosses for a striker to attack. Utd wasn't really set up to do that.

^@Cougar, Unless I failed to understand the real intent behind your post, then I totally disagree with you on this one, mate - Busquets and Fab play different roles/positions; the former is a ball winner while the latter is a ball passer hence, it doesn't really make sense to compare both players and, it is evident that the trio (Xavi, Iniesta and Biscuits ) play in the same team and tend to understand themselves better in the national team.

However, if possible at all to compare the quality of both players, please don't try making individual comparisons between Fab and Busquets at their respective roles/positions cuz I believe there's no way that Biscuits guy is near Mr. Fabulous - Infact, just imagine pulling out Xavi and Iniesta from Barca's midfield and replacing them with Denilson and Diaby to play alongside Busquets, then you'd understand what Fab goes thru, atimes ~ even wolves would give them a run for their money, if those changes are made . . .
