@ ruudie,
so u really expect razorr to go gung-ho on a national tv? u seem to forget razorr is fictional. if u think everyone exhibits the traits they portray on nairaland sports then u have another think coming. cheesy cheesy cheesy
@ a-40,
u are confuzzled.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 7:05pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
theo walcott? he is the biggest joke in club football. i am yet to see walcott score a league goal since he became a gunner. i think wenger should loan him out to southampton or even derby county for a year or two. i don't see him becoming a finished article like rooney or bentley at arsenal. i think wenger has been patient enough with him but the lad hasn't justified the hype around him at all. walcott should find another means of livelihood like modelling for louis vuitton. football is a mountain too high for him to climb. cheesy cheesy cheesy
@ topic,
the formular is easy. play your big guns and win. play the same team that played in the 1st leg and lose.
Sports / Re: Razorr On STV? by Cougar: 6:57pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ ruudie,
i think razorr did well. she talked about the midfield which was where nigeria lost the game last night. nigeria's 3-man midfield was shambolic. no vision, no strength and no technical input. nigeria should thank their lucky stars we didnt play egypt. they are ripping the heart of the indomitable lions. who is this egyptian zidan? i hope alex ferguson is watching.

@ tkb417,
thats the spirit, bruv. now back to football; whats going to happen to arsenal tonight? i want everton to win the carling cup. personally, i think everton should be given credits for keeping faith with david moyes and allowing him to do the job of building a solid team. this is what newcastle should emulate and allow their gaffer to achieve.

@ tkb417,
be a man and walk away from this hullabaloo. its totally uncalled for. this excitement will do more harm than good on urself and mc omo.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 10:35am On Jan 22, 2008
@ tkb417,
this is uncalled for. why all this on a public forum? u can settle this on yim without people getting to hear about it. i am pleading with both parties. drop your weapons!!!!!!

personally, i think berti vogts goofed by making nigeria play in a 4-3-3 formation. nigerian players only play one way,and it is 4-4-2. why is mr vogts so scared of ivory coast that he decided to play defensive? i was expecting to see seyi olofinjana and mikel in the midfield. utaka and osaze on the wings. yak-bull and martins in the attack with uche or kanu coming in for them later in the game. there's nothing special about ivory coast. nigeria was just too poor.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 8:46pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ i-man,
they were doing a call-in programme and u should hear the caller's views on the match. it was so hilarious. someone actually said taiye taiwo should have played in the attack as he was the only one that looked like scoring. the views were so lame they make dayokanu's analysis look brilliant.
@tkb417,
stop the gunfight!!!!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 8:01pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ i-man,
can u please switch to 194 on your skybox? ben tv is driving me crazy.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 7:03pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ i-man,
berti vogts is as neurotic as dayokanu. how can u start kanu in this type of game? sheer stupidity is the only explanation as far as i am concerned.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 6:57pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ tkb417,
this is the worst i have seen any nigerian team play in donkey years. bloody hell, what was that about? vogts playing 4-3-3, the midfield is so narrow. there's no width to work the ivorien defenders at all. i should have expected this nazi fella to play 4-4-2. olofinjana and mikel in the central midfield, osaze on the left, utaka on the right with martins and yak-bull striking. kanu should have started from the bench. he plays better reading the game and coming in to make a difference. i am disappointed in what i have seen so far.
@ i-man,
where are u watching this game? i saw it on british eurosport but pls switch it to ben-tv and hear what nigerian analysts are saying? this is comic relief at its very best. i am lmao here with the fakest analysis i have heard. omg!!!! are these people professionals at all? cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 5:48pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ i-man,
dayokanu does not watch any epl game. all he does is go to wiki read the tabloids and he draws his inferences from there. do u actually think dayo watches bayern games? wikipedia is his source of info. who says internet has done more harm than good?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 5:36pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ dayokanu,
i agree with u. it's just the same way henry lags behind ruud van nistelrooy as far as goal scoring is concerned. henry is a better team player though. rooney is not an out n out striker. his statistics will show he creates more than klose does cos he plays off a centre forward.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 4:39pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ dayokanu,
this is not quantum physics. rooney rarely plays as a centre forward. rooney is a supporting striker. u cannot compare rooney to miroslav klose who is an out and out striker as far as goal scoring is concerned. the only person who seems to be hallucinating here is u. its peace and harmony in the man utd posse. i cannot say the same about a gate-crasher like u.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 12:22pm On Jan 21, 2008
@ mcomo,
miroslav klose is not all that. how do u explain his poor return last season when he scored 15 goals in all competition compared to rooney's 23 goals.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 7:04pm On Jan 19, 2008
@ mcomo,
he cannot. ronaldo has got a better chance finishing above adebayor on the scorer's charts. he is bang in form, takes penalties and free-kicks. when van persie comes back, adebayor will slip in the pecking order of penalty takers. he does not take free-kicks and the goal ratio does not even suit adebayor. ronaldo has scored 17 goals in his last 14 games for man utd. thats more than 100% strike rate. he is simply fantastic.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 6:41pm On Jan 19, 2008
@ debosky,
now u are beginning to earn my respect. ade has been fantastic for arsenal. he kept his head down and he seems to be enjoying his role. whether it is 4-5-1 or 4-4-2, the togolese is not fazed. thats the spirit of a good sportsman. he also seem to be a tad consistent and has a good work rate. i don't know who to choose between him and almunia though. i think almunia has been outstanding as well. i never knew he could be this decent between the posts. cheesy cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 6:34pm On Jan 19, 2008
@ debosky,
ade is your player of the season? why not cesc?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 6:18pm On Jan 19, 2008
@ i-man,
i don't know what the decision makers at old trafford are getting at. going to saudi arabia of all places. what if those arabmen decides to break the legs of rooney and ronaldo? meanwhile, they will be spending 5 days there. i wonder what prompted the middle east idea. ronaldo is in a blistering form and i don't want him jaded or injured when he goes to white hart lane. arsenal is hot on our heels. its about time we start opening a gap. by the way, when is ferguson shaving his head?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 5:55pm On Jan 19, 2008
there's only one ronaldo. who can stop this portugese from scoring?
its now 23 goals in all competitions this season and 17 goals in the league. ronaldo has matched his goal scoring records of last season and we are still in january. what a goal, what a player, what a talent. catch man utd if u can.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 5:37pm On Jan 19, 2008
wayne rooney!!!! what a pass from tevez. pls make it 2 goals to keep the +gd at par.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:37pm On Jan 18, 2008
@ debosky,
good job! u have said what i was hoping to hear all day: no excuses.
we shall come back to this in may. wink
@ ritchboy,
take a cue from debo and learn to argue constructively. swear words and heavy language makes u stink from a distance.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 10:32pm On Jan 18, 2008
whats the difference between brazil and spain? what is to say fabregas is really 20? i dont want to go down that lane. fabregas is a great player, anderson is a great player as well. in my own opinion, i think anderson's potentials will eclipse that of fabregas. he has proven one thing: he wont be a flop like kleberson. do u agree to that?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 10:25pm On Jan 18, 2008
@ debosky,
let me get u agitated a bit, how will u feel if i tell u anderson is better than fabregas?
in the individual head to head games played this season, anderson is miles ahead of fabregas. anderson is a better player than fabregas. every pundit in england said so in the head to head games played this season. young anderson had fabregas and stevie gerrard shackled on their home soil. that is reason enough to tell u anderson is diamond.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 9:58pm On Jan 18, 2008
@ debosky,
u started the mud-slinging by saying cougar is a dumbo. cheesy cheesy cheesy : there's nuthing hidden under the sun. the media will go to any length to uncover the shadiest transfer deals so words do get out. all i am saying is arsenal fans should not make this look like an achievement. a club should not lay emphasis on making profits on transfer deals at the expense of signing quality players to strengthen the club. take chelsea for instance, they signed anelka and a defender this january alone------if they win the title in may, who would care how much money they lost signing players? believe me or not, wenger deliberately keeps the transfer fees low to make an excuse for failure. at the end of the day, arsenal fans will be quick to say chelsea and man utd bought the title. wait a min, u have been saying that for 4 seasons now. lets hope we wont hear that again at the end of the season. cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 9:46pm On Jan 18, 2008
@ ritchboy,
read ur message urself and see how dumb u sound. how many goals did fabregas score in his debut season? come back to me when u have an answer to that? fabregas scored 3 goals in 43 appearances in his 2nd season, scored 5 in 49 games in his 3rd and 4 in 54 games last season. as anderson and hargreaves havent even completed 15 games each for man utd, it will be senseless and tomfoolery to compare them to fabregas. get back to me when the season ends in may.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 9:35pm On Jan 18, 2008
@ debosky,
you are the dumb one cos u dont sift through messages carefully before u write. i said no prizes are given for profit/loss accounts on player transfers not the overall annual profit/loss accounts. man utd splashed 60 million this summer and cashed in around 30 million. it simply means we made 30 million loss on players transfer account. does that necessarily mean man utd will plunge into liquidation because of that? why are the gooners on this forum dyslexic or amnesiac. gosh! can someone find me an intelligent gooner. for real, i will pay anyone who can point one brilliant gooner to me on this forum. i am disappointed with what i have encountered so far.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Jürgen Klinsmann To Step In As Bayern Munich Coach by Cougar: 9:26pm On Jan 18, 2008
@ bwk,
nothing here says bundesliga is better than epl. somebody help me, does bayern munich play in the la liga? the link u pasted is someone's myopic opinion.
how many epl teams are still standing in the ucl compared to la liga? how many epl teams were in the semis of last ucl competition? how many epl teams topped their groups in last season and this season's ucl group stages. come back to me when u have an answer to all my questions. until then, epl rules.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 9:18pm On Jan 18, 2008
it has a bearing cos liverpool visited old trafford last season(november 2006). as u werent specific about the exact game where gerrard was booed. i was quick to say man utd fans didn't boo gerrard in the league game. when someone else mentioned it was a match against world xi, i realised he was booed but for a reason. tell us the sense behind arsenal fans booing edgar davids and stop wasting time.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Jürgen Klinsmann To Step In As Bayern Munich Coach by Cougar: 9:13pm On Jan 18, 2008
bwk,
if u dont have anything to say, dont say nothing. u keep recycling the same garbage. hitzfeld has won the ucl with 2 different clubs but does that mean he is better than someone who has won it once? is uruguay(2 world cup winners) better than france and holland? the same hitzfeld could not take bayern munich to the champions league. hitzfeld coming back to bayern munich was his greatest undoing. he should have left the game when the ovation was loud for him. now, it will be in his record that he failed to take a club in bundesliga(grade b league) to ucl. this is something ferguson has not failed to achieve in a grade a league for 15 years.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Jürgen Klinsmann To Step In As Bayern Munich Coach by Cougar: 8:56pm On Jan 18, 2008
i could be charlie chaplin for all i care. ferguson/man utd is the last club and the only club from a competitive league to complete a treble.
bayern, milan, real madrid and barcelona have never done the treble despite their dominance in europe. until another manager from a grade a league breaks that record, man united can be regarded as the best football club in europe. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

too bad general hitzfeld wont be able to ever achieve that feat before he retires in may. its unfortunate for the general because as at the 90th minute on that fateful night in 1999, general hitzfeld was about doing the unthinkable for the bavarians-winning the treble. however, ferguson conjured magic with his wand and he took the ucl title away from hitzfeld's hands and won it for man utd thus completing united's treble. that alone is reason enough to place ferguson above hitzfeld. cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 8:46pm On Jan 18, 2008
@ ritchboy,
i said u were lying about stevie g at first cos u werent specific about the match. i thought u were talking about another game entirely. it was only when someone mentioned it was the man utd vs world xi game that i remembered what transpired that night. all said and done, united fans still had the right to boo stevie gerrard. its very different from arsenal fans booing edgar davids who didnt write a book or say something nasty about arsenal. i suggest u sift through carefully before u type. always choose the words u write, think always.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Jürgen Klinsmann To Step In As Bayern Munich Coach by Cougar: 8:40pm On Jan 18, 2008
the only daft person here is u. no team has done the treble after man utd achieved it in 1999. pele's records of 12 goals in the world cup was talked about from 1970 till 2006 when ronaldo de lima broke the record. until another manager achieves the treble from a grade a league, alex ferguson and man united will continue to be the best in the world.
