'How many of those are backward or sideways passes'. . .the argument of the simple mind. SMH!!!

simple-mind you call it because you are simple-minded. when has denilson ever won man of the match in about 130 appearances for arsenal? none! he has never taken any game by the scruff of the neck. he hides. he doesn't dictate games and his number of passes is commensurate with the number of appearances. if other midfielders cop the same number of minutes than denilson, they will make more passes. that statistic is a fraud. i can understand an arsenal fan rating denilson. in the country of the blind, a cyclop like denilson is a king.

Ibime:

Anyone hating on Denilson needs to get his priorities straight and find new meaning to life.

I blame AW for selling Denilson to the general public as a DM.

Denilson is a continuity footballer, and a brilliant player.

Certain times when Fab4 is injured, Denilson controls the game single handedly.

The curse on Denilson is similar to the curse placed on Borja Valero when forced to play DM at West Brom. Borja Valero went back to Spain in a more attacking position and was the 2nd best CM in La Liga last season behind Xavi.

If Denilson is so shyte, why are Barca actively seeking his signature.

barca actively seeking his signature hardly proves anything. barca actively sought after chygrnysky or whatever he's called. they were after alexander hleb, etc. denilson adds nothing to arsenal. arsenal can do without him. i will even go as far as saying emmanuel eboue is a more important player to arsenal than denilson. yes, he makes 500,000 passes per season but how many of those are sideways and backward passes. how many of those passes are more than 5 yards? certain times when fab4 is injured, the role of the creator falls on nasri's feet when he plays centrally - not denilson. denilson has no creative bone in his brazilian body.

Would you care to review your performance against the 2 clubs in question? and tell me they were walks in the park for you? yu're falling into the trap of living on old glory, if yu believe for once that this team you have will suddenly develop wings in January like Asterix after drinking a potion.  That only works in Red bull adverts abeg. Without significant investment in January, this team can't get any better.

I gave 3 reasons for the performance. . .but your wandering eyes only picked up on luck. Did you miss out on players' ability to produce when desperately needed?

The average scumtwat has failed basic reading comprehension - no apologies!

only idiots narrow down a team's success to luck. if united didn't make incursions in villa's box, macheda wouldn't have scored. if nani didn't beat two men on the left flank and crossing to the far post, vidic wouldn't have scored. there's no luck in football. what you put in is what you get. let's blame luck on arsenal's barren seasons for 5 years - fortune just refused to smile on wenger. how the gods of soccer must hate the french ba$tard.

The fear of Utd experienced by the opposition, ability of some players to still produce something when desperately needed and some old fashioned luck.

Besides, unbeaten means little when two rivals have lost three times and are still above you on points.

Of course it's not all doom and gloom. . . .Utd WILL get better this season as injured players return, but there are clearly issues with the team, particularly when you continue to concede regularly with your first choice defence.

The question is whether the rivals can sustain/improve their form or whether Utd will steam roller them in the new year.

this statement lacks substance. when people narrow down united's work ethics to luck, it makes me smile and wonder about their level of intelligence. was it luck that took the ball from van der sar to friedel's net? instead of these idiots to give credits to fergie for sending two rookies to confuse villa's defence, they are blaming it on luck. fergie deployed  chris smalling as a centre forward to hustle aerial balls with richard dunne and gooners are here saying it's via sheer luck united got two goals in the last ten minutes. the average gooner is dumb. no apologies!

This was after playing for Arsenal since 2004 wasn't it?

so why make a daft comparison at first when you were always going to bring van persie's x years at arsenal into it? did van persie join arsenal at the age of 26 like chamakh?

Compare this with 8 goals and 5 assists for Chamakh in all competitions, with Fab4 missing about half the games.

van persie copped 8 goals and 8 assists in all competitions in fewer games - you really need to stop the chamakh cyber-fellating. he has made 18 appearances for arsenal in all competitions so it's not rocket science he's your top scorer.

I have quit debating this issue after I explained that If we had judged Henry based on his first 13/14 games for Arsenal, we would have sold him in the next transfer window that came along.
Here is a player who is the leading scorer in his debut season, when he shouldn't even be getting games.
I will only judge MC29 at the end of the season.
Remove his contributions so far and I wonder where we would be!

i believe that is because he has spent more minutes on the pitch than any arsenal striker this season or you expect van persie to be the leading scorer from the bench? nicklas from the bench? vela from reserves?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Fans Thread : Winners of the FA Cup And League Winners 09/10 by Cougar: 1:05pm On Nov 15, 2010
this chelsea loss is overrated in my opinion. any good team can be caught out on a good day and get spanked. man united almost had their asses handed to them by aston villa but for fergie's last throw of the dice. losing 0-3 at stamford bridge is not the end of the world. chelsea were without their spine(terry-essien-lampard) and drogba is fighting malaria. chelsea are still favourites to clinch the title and are still a better team than arsenal.

The EPL might be getting tougher, but I expect United to kep improving.
We can't use that as an alibi to keep dropping points left, right and center.
Right now,the unbeaten state is nothing to me and any other real United fan.

the team has improved. chicharito is exciting. obertan turned it on when he came on @ villa park and i think smalling will do well. fergie still has welbeck and mame diouf to come back in after their loan spells. i am not too worried. the draws will turn to wins in no time. be patient.

Nah not Fergie or the boys, there are loads of people saying we are still unbeaten.
While I was angry yesterday that we didn't win the match even though a draw was a fantastic result considering what happened in the game, a friend of mine said to me "At least we are still unbeaten" and I was like so what?

It's not even about new signings . . .I just think our players are not performing at their standard level.
Seems like we are still stuck in first gear.
Villa is always a tough game though.

Mr_TA:

This season, I think we've barely stepped out of 2nd gear. I dont even think we have a 5th gear like we used to.

get over it lads, the league is now a level playing field. some charlatans will come here and say the premier league is rubbish, it's predictable and so on and so forth but i know real zaragoza will not beat barcelona 3-0 at nou camp. i like the way the mid-table teams have stepped up a gear cos it now means victory is not guaranteed anymore. big sides have to work for it.

StarBoard:

@Cougar,
Yes we played late on Wednesday and first on Saturday.
But that;s no excuse to me.It's not the first time most of these players have done somthing similar. We were shoddy throughout.Especially with a considerably weakened Villa side.

considerably weakened villa side? agbonlahor? young? dunne? downing? friedel? collins? don't believe the media. villa were as strong as we know them to be.

We simply won't win anything with shoddy performances like yesterday.

we have no goddamn right to win every game. we got 0-0 there last season when we were good. chelsea(the best team) in the country got a draw there. the performance was horrible, i must admit but you have to remember united played 3 league games within 6 days with the last two away from home. the team is ravaged by niggling injuries and half of the team is carrying the virus.

For me,Berbatov has returnd to the same old player who just wants to hog the ball and place mis-timed passes.Whatever happened to the early season buzz?I would rather bench him from now on.At least Machda gave us something to think about by taking his goal so calmly.

berbatov won't return back to his blistering form until rooney gets back into the team. he is now having to play deeper to accommodate chicharito. earlier in the season, rooney was the one operating from the deep with berbatov staying in the box and getting the goals.

As for the midfild,I still think we are too reliant on Scholes for creativity, something we were clearly misssing yesterday.Fletcher for all his hardwork  and industry isn't going to give us what we need.
We need players in January.

villa just caught us on a bad day. we were disgraceful for 80 mins. completely slaughtered and ripped apart but the last ten minutes gave me hope.
i was convinced if the boys are determined to get a result, they can be unstoppable. some of the wave of attacks i saw yesterday against a very mean villa defence were oustanding. nani has to be the best winger in europe.

True! Unbeaten run doesn't make any sense . . . you dont get a trophy for that.
I'd rather win one game and lose one = 3points than to draw two matches = 2 points.

so you actually think fergie and his players care about the unbeaten run? they wanted to win at villa park. villa's defence held with all the things united threw at them. the carnage thrown at them in the last ten minutes is the best football we have played away from home this season and friedel was in superb form.

Mr_TA:

Although we still have to look at it as a point gained this was not a good weekend to drop points considering Chelsea's result.

This unbeaten run is meaningless if we end the season trophyless. We really need some players in January.

the squad is not as bad as people make it. we just need players to come back from injury. losing rooney and valencia has been a blow. they were one of the top performers of the league last season. we cannot buy players in january. there's a squad cap. start praying for valencia and hargreaves' quick recovery.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by Cougar: 3:11pm On Nov 14, 2010
the fact is arsenal as a team create far too many chances per game. that chamakh has scored 5 league goals or 8 in all competitions hardly proves anything. ricardo fuller would have scored 10 goals in chamakh's shoes. any decent striker should be putting those chances away. adebayor(not a world class player) did wonders for arsenal in 07/08. bendtner is right feeling aggrieved about his limited involvement in the team. it's his career we are talking about here.

lots of funny comments in here. my 2 cents. . . .shina peters is a legend. his afrojuju album was reported to be the first yoruba album to hit platinum status in 89/90 circa. he is an instrumentalist, way different to the new generation artistes who know nada about instruments. i cannot really comment on his "2face is empty" rant because he might have been taken out of context by some trouble-brewing journalists. if he meant 2face has no substance in terms of projecting african music and tradition in the real sense, he's got a point.

Oga dont even go there.

http://www.omagames.com/productlist.asp?latest=true&paging=1

Let's even just say you ship from the UK which has relatively more expensive games than the US.

Black Ops in the UK is sold for £40 (₦10,000) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Call-Duty-Black-Ops-PS3/dp/B0036ORNUC
You sell yours for ₦16,500. Are you trying to tell me that the shipping and custom costs for a game that weighs about one quarter of a kg is anywhere near ₦6,500??!!
What the hell kind of profit are you trying to make?? That sir, is plain cheating.

Heavy Rain, a game that came out in February and is being sold for £25 pretty much everywhere. Proof? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Heavy-Rain-PS3/dp/B002BWONF8
£25 = ₦6,250
You're selling it ₦14,500. That is an ₦8,250 difference! Is that business? No, that is exorbitance and exploitation.

You sell your £20 Playstation Network Cards for ₦7,500 and ₦6,500 if delivered by email.  These PSN cards are £20. £20 = ₦5,000.
Are there courier or custom costs for anything delivered by email? NO, but yet you choose to settle for a ₦1,500 profit for doing nothing but just buying something with very little effort and e-mailing it.

Please don't let me go on. It is sad that you are playing on the ignorance of your customers that probably work for their money. Unlike you, who wants to collect ₦1,500 for barely doing anything at all. You probably have it going easier where you are than many of the Nigerians in Nigeria, yet you still choose to extort them of the money they sweated for.  The more I think about it, the more disgusted I am.
Your conscience cant even stop you from telling me to list one overpriced game. Shame on you.

if you think you are being ripped off, why don't you start your own business and sell at the rate at which you buy them. omagames is not a charitable organization. they are there to make profit while providing quality service to their customers. you shot yourself in the foot comparing amazon prices with the prices on the high streets. if you think you are being robbed, dust your visa, buy a ticket to the ukk/usa, buy your game and go back to nigeria.
