the only strength saha gives man utd is mobility and aerial threat(no disrespect to rooney and el apache). however, saha is yet to give man utd that bit of skill since the season kicked off in august bar the goal he scored against sunderland. what is the essence of keeping a striker that spends more time on the bench than the pitch? at this stage, i will take chrisantus and sell saha. i am still waiting to see man utd's manucho in action.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 7:04pm On Jan 23, 2008
podolski? nooooo. kewyne jones will just be fyne by me. bardsley has been shipped to sunderland. roy keane should give man utd k.jones and take saha from ferguson.

@ tkb417,
ronaldo's mum was just toying with real madrid. real madrid announced that they have given up on ronaldo and cesc. although, i dont really expect ronaldo to retire at man utd but he should stay till he is 26. two ucls and two prem titles wont be bad for the portugese. i will gladly take ramos, casillas and sneijder for cristiano.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 6:03pm On Jan 23, 2008
@ tkb417,
obviously, chelsea will thump the toffees. after witnessing what happened last night, avram will be going to goodison park with all the available arsenal at his disposal. grant will be dying to win something asap to convince chelsea fans he can continue where jose mourinho left off. it will be tough but i expect chelsea to win. it could drag to extra time though. cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 5:22pm On Jan 23, 2008
of course, u were comparing both games. the implication of your comment is:: arsenal losing the game last night had no impact on u just like united's loss in the middle-east was a dead rubber.  why should i assume u intended to say when instead of because?  how does one assume something that already happened?  cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy   i am in a wonderland. let us assume arsenal lost 5-1 to spurs, duhhhhhhhh.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 4:54pm On Jan 23, 2008
mc omo needs to think before he types. jackal = cougar. how long does it take you to digest a germ of information? you sound scared. fool/coward used in the same sentence? u need to lie down. cheesy cheesy cheesy
@ ritchboy,
i have told u several times to keep your comments clear and concise. sometimes i dont even bother reading ur piffle cos it rarely makes sense. that sentence should be: i lost as much sleep over this as man utd did when they lost their friendly game in the middle east. for the priest of english to make this error beggars belief. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 4:42pm On Jan 23, 2008
Mc Omo:
THE MAN SEEMS TO BE LOSING IT AND IT WILL TAKE THE GRACE OF GOD TO WIN ANY TROPHY THIS SEASON embarassed
the best comment i have read all day. keep it coming!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 4:32pm On Jan 23, 2008
@ ritchboy,
you are really clutching at straws now, aren't you? it's only an arsenal fan that will compare carling cup s/final game to a testimonial match of a saudi player. cheesy cheesy cheesy a carling cup competition mr wenger has never won in twelve years. hopefully, arsenal kids will learn from this experience and adebayor won't try to thump bendtner on the pitch anymore. i'm sure that's not what wenger would call "growing as a team". cheesy cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 4:04pm On Jan 23, 2008
@ ritchboy,
i am sick and tired of reading ur senseless comments. i will sit back and let others do the damage on you and your siamese twin(mc omo) joined at the hip by the common thread of blissful ignorance. cheesy cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 12:24pm On Jan 23, 2008
@ tkb417,
the fa cup might elude arsene wenger as well. with liverpool now 14 points below the league leader(man utd), the fa cup will be one of their main priorities. man utd and chelsea are still in it so it is more difficult for wenger to win the fa cup than the carling cup. there's no realistic chance arsenal will win any trophy this season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 12:17pm On Jan 23, 2008
@ nateevs,
great comment. to be honest, i knew they would lose last night but not by such scandalous goal margin. one thing about arsenal is the way their season disintegrates in a matter of weeks. this is arsene's 12th attempt to win the carling cup and he has failed yet again to win it. he should have stuck to his young'uns. i still cannot believe a team playing cesc, hleb, ade, eduardo and gallas can concede 5 goals in 90 minutes. it could have ended 9-1 if berbatov, keane and dynamic lennon had played 90 minutes. juande ramos must be a passive arsenal fan. i think spurs are a different side with robinson on the bench and ledley king in the back four.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 11:54am On Jan 23, 2008
@ tkb417,
it was a classic comic relief. wenger should have stuck with his young'uns. the excuses would have been well carved-out. he played cesc, hleb, ade, eduardo, silva, sagna and gallas. no excuses, gunners were outclassed. the funniest bit was when adebayor nuts bendtner. its like watching rooney butting carlos tevez. cheesy cheesy cheesy team-mates fighting one another is the worst that can happen to any team. did u see gallas' face when bendtner scored an own goal? it was highly laughable.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:38am On Jan 23, 2008
@ loyika,
u left me bewildered with ur comment. fairplay to you. cheesy cheesy cheesy if every arsenal fan sees football the way u see it on this forum then maybe it could be more peaceful. i blame wenger for leaving his guns on the bench. he should have started them and once arsenal leads 2-0 or 3-0 then he can take them off and let the theos, diabys and bendtners do the cleaning up. hey, u forgot to tell us about bendtner in ur "the ugly" analysis. cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 10:23am On Jan 23, 2008
@ tkb417,
arsenal was shown what total football is all about. wenger was outplayed and outthought by juande ramos. no excuses at all. i heard someone said man utd lost their friendly. it shows how some people lack the basic understanding of the game. man utd's game was a testimonial game for one saudi player. he was awarded 2 penalties so he can score. it was his day and there was no way the referee would allow a united win on a day like that.
@ ritchboy,
your name suggests u are rich. why don't u buy yourself some artificial intelligence?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 12:05am On Jan 23, 2008
@ debosky,
i can only see two things happening after this emphatic loss. its either arsenal implodes or explodes. if we are to go by history, arsenal will implode. cheesy
@ presido1,
yes dude. united is in a different league to arsenal. ronaldo, rooney and tevez in attack? there's no way a goal wont surface in 90 minutes with the trio. let wenger continue to deceive himself that walcott will be the next rooney or ronaldo. it can never happen. walcott is not better than femi opabunmi. cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 11:52pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ nateevs,
u can forget about arsenal's challenge in the premiership. this defeat will demoralise them. u have to look at the margin of the defeat and the fact that they suffered it from their greatest rival. imagine liverpool losing 5-1 to everton. cheesy cheesy cheesy  chelsea pose more threat to man utd's title challenge than arsenal. 2 weeks without kolo toure and eboue and the gunners conceded 5 goals(without penalties) in 90 minutes. its unthinkable. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
wenger will have a difficult time sleeping tonight. his invincibles just conceded 5 goals against spurs. somebody wake me i am dreaming.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 11:40pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
so u wanna compare 5-1 defeat to 2-0 at old trafford? 5-1 defeat to a team that had hleb, cesc, adebayor, eduardo and gallas is appaling. i know football is crazy but what are the odds spurs would win 5-1 tonight? maybe 10,000/1. only a drunk would have stake such bets with betfred. cheesy cheesy
i admire your patriotism but lets face it. arsenal has lost all bragging rights after tonight's game. mark my words again, arsenal will not win a single title this season. this defeat will demoralise the young kids.
@ i-man,
are u watching skysports 1 now? can u see ronaldo's mum saying she wants to see ronaldo play for real madrid before she dies. real madrid execs have rubbed her palms. ronaldo might leave soon.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 11:25pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
losing to spurs is no biggie. it was the circumstances surrounding ur loss that got my heart racing. why come this far to lose 5-1. if this had happened in the 1st game then one would think wenger is not bent winning this competition. why come this far to lose 5-1? a lot of people are saying they were kids. gallas, silva, fabregas, hleb, adebayor and eduardo are not kids. wenger wanted to win but he lost to a better side tonight. end of story.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 11:13pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ nateevs,
i am more than convinced now that arsenal will finish trophyless again. arsene wenger hasn't learnt a great deal.  they have boxed themselves into a corner by losing in this competition. man utd or chelsea will win the league, arsenal will crash in the next round of the champions league. whats left? fa cup? anyone can win that. liverppool will go on to win the fa cup or even man utd. arsenal will field theo walcott and bendtner(own goal scorer). cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 11:05pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ nateevs,
arsenal's story can be described as . . . .so near yet so far. who could have thought the same arsenal we saw at the start of the season would concede 5 goals.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:50pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ nateevs,
wenger has just blown his chance to win something this season. the premiership belongs to man utd. ac milan's gaffer will be watching this match and licking his lips. the fa cup is far away from wenger. so there's no realistic chance of arsenal winning anything this season.

5-1 and game over.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:42pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
u lost 4-1 to liverpool. liverpool is a big club. one of the big 4 clubs in england. tottenham is where on the table?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:34pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
u should have done that since the game 1 of the carling cup. .why come this far to lose 4-1 or 4-3. to actually think arsenal can concede 4 in one game is unthinkable. which way for arsenal now?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:25pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
can arsenal actually lose 4-0 to any tottenham side? am i seeing purple haze? arsenal has been ripped apart by spurs. what a neat combination of play by tottenham. barcelona, man utd, ac milan couldn't have done better. what a disgrace. wenger should be sacked. theo walcott should be nailed to the cross.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:21pm On Jan 22, 2008
goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4-0. lennon scores.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:15pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ nateevs,
this is where toure and eboue are under-rated. arsenal without africans are ordinary. tottenham has played em off the park again. what a way to lose in a competition? arsenal is out of carling cup, they are 2nd in the league, they are meeting milan in the ucl and fa cup is anyone's. dont u think arsenal's season is finished already?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:09pm On Jan 22, 2008
goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh my god,  . . debosky, where r u?
robbie keane is a top class striker, how did he score that?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 9:28pm On Jan 22, 2008
this is ridiculous.
2nd goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 9:05pm On Jan 22, 2008
goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 8:57pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
i was just winding u up. cesc, flamini  adebayor and eduardo are on the bench. i think wenger is desperate to win this one. the barren seasons is giving wenger sleepless nights. anyway, chelsea remain the title favourites. i can see another de javu for arsenal tonight or next month-the disintegration of a season in one week! cheesy cheesy cheesy
@ nateevs,
its funny but spurs are the bookies favourites. although, chelsea are the favourites at this stage. i don't see arsenal beating chelsea next month in the final should they go through tonight. drogba, terry, ashley cole, lampard and all injured chelsea players should be available. if u ask me, i want everton to win it.
@ folahann,
no one forced wenger to use young players. the competition is not under 15. play ur strongest team available and win. wenger has failed to win it since he arrived in england. he should do that now and prove his critics wrong. cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 8:20pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ debosky,
i am laughing ma head off here. is this the same competition wenger is not interested in? i am keeping my fingers crossed. should arsenal lose i don't want to hear any excuse. agreed?

wait a bloody min. just saw arsenal's team list now.

        fabianski

sagna hoyte gallas traore

hleb denilson gilberto silva diaby

   walcott  bendtner
so where is fabregas, rosicky and adebayor? arsenal.com cannot even provide authentic information. what a shame. cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 7:24pm On Jan 22, 2008
@ a-40,
wenger is sticking with the young'uns. the only addition are gallas, gilberto and rosicky. so dont expect to see eduardo, adebayor, fabregas or hleb. spurs can break the arsenal jinx tonight. i expect berbatov and robbie keane to sting arsenal.
