oniwoski: hi all,
Many thanks to Admins and Moderator...this thread is so informative..honestly i appreciate everyone...
i need help here pls...
i submited my Diploma nd Bsc cert to Wes via hellofax last week..still processing the transcripts nd Neco...ive paid all the payables..nd Neco was sent yesterday...
i got an update on wes account that my Credentials have been received and that Evaluation is in progress...i am not allowed to do anything at this time...
im wondering if they evaluate without transcript...pls someone should help me get clerified .. thanks Yes, they do evaluate certificates without transcripts! I made an error of waiting for my school to send transcripts first before I sent my certificates via hellofax. Once they received the transcripts from school on August 1st, as well as my certificates from me,guess what?? they had to start evaluating my certificates first before they sent a verification mail to my school. It took 3 weeks before they completed "Credentials have been received and that Evaluation is in progress...you are not allowed to do anything at this time..." .it was only after they sent verification mail to school So it's good you sent your certificates earlier! |

Expresso17: WES received my transcript from my school on the 1st Aug, didn’t send me a mail for ECA completion date until August 23rd. Whatever transpired btw them and the school took 3 weeks plus additional 3 weeks so It just got updated sept 12th. So for me it took roughly 6 weeks in total. And that was for a UK school. Like I don't understand WES anymore, my school also sent the verification mail back to WES on August 1 and the completion date wasn't given until September 1 and then they gave me a completion date of Sept 24. It's very annoying, it's like they do evaluation before major evaluation. |

joo2018: Something on misrepresentation:
"The following situations would generally constitute misrepresentation: An applicant fails to disclose that they recently applied for a visa to Canada. An applicant fails to disclose a criminal record, even if it is eventually established that they are not inadmissible under the criminality provisions (either due to lack of equivalency or because of the deemed rehabilitated class, for example). An applicant for a visa fails to disclose the existence of family members, even if the family members could satisfy the requirements of the Act. [R117(9)(d)] An applicant fails to disclose that they were previously issued a removal order in Canada, even if they would not require consent to return. An applicant includes a nephew in their application and lists this person as a son. An applicant misrepresents the age of a family member who could otherwise not be included in the application. A skilled worker applicant submits a false education certificate in an effort to meet selection criteria that they would not otherwise meet. Failure to disclose changes in marital status or changes in material facts since visa issuance abroad [R51]
The following situations would not generally constitute misrepresentation: Mistakes or misunderstandings: An applicant who indicates the current year as their year of birth; or reverses the date and month of birth on an application form. An applicant who indicates being single, when in fact they are widowed. An applicant who fails to disclose being denied entry into Canada when attempting to enter from the United States for an afternoon five years ago. The applicant explains that because “withdrawal” was effected, the notion of having been denied entry into Canada was not properly understood (that is, the applicant did not believe entry into Canada had been denied because the option of withdrawal or “Allowed to Leave” was offered and exercised) and the applicant, in the officer’s opinion, is credible. Other cases where a person answers truthfully at an interview without hesitation and it is reasonable to believe that the person did not understand the question on the application form or forgot the relevant information at that time."
Source: ENF 2/OP 18 Evaluating Inadmissibility. Pg 37. Hmm... at the bolded! This is a pregnant case/situation for misrepresentation... |

harry41: Hello, thanks for your help earlier. I am still following up with Wes and Unilag on the verification issue. However, i noticed something else, am I required to send my waec and degree certificate too to Wes? I only want my masters evaluated. Please help This depends on when you're registered with WES. If you didn't before August 1, your don't need it. But if after, you'll have to get your WAEC transcripts sent directly from the issuing body while you can use hellofax to send your degree certificate |

dbaba83: Good evening good people. Please I need ur responses to this situation. I started working in a company in 2014 as a third party contract staff and got confirmation as a permanent staff in 2017. Does the work years count as 3years and more or it counts as one year plus when I was confirmed? Let me know if I filled my profile correctly. As long as its a paid employment and over 30 hours per week! You're good to go! Your experience started counting from 2014! |

Ramj: For Express Entry - Skilled Work Experience, you need a job in NOC 0, A or B.
NOC 7202 is Technical job and its NOC B.
So congrats you are good to go.
Je m'appelle Ramj Merci Ramj !! So as long as it is a NOC B job it doesn't matter if it's in trade category?? |

Hello guys, Congrats to our latest PPR recipient! Please I have an inquiry : Before now I have assumed that my NOC is 2241 Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians and have being using same. However, I recently realised that the most appropriate NOC for my job role is NOC 7202 Contractors and supervisors, electrical trades and telecommunications occupations (I work in the telecommunications industry. my JD is in the power aspect of telecommunications). Then, I discovered that the NOC 7202 is classified as a skilled trade in Canada.
So I will like to know if I can use this NOC 7202 for the Foreign skilled Worker category? Or does this make me ineligible for the FSW? |

So I just realised that Alberta doesn't have a PNP for people living outside Canada.
I have always known that other provinces have their inland and outland PNP. Does this mean that EE is the only medium of immigration for foreigners outside Canada? Please kindly clear my doubt? |

rhemagrace: Send them a message on Twitter and ask for your expected completion date, they'll update your profile. Give or take your completion date will be 20 days from when they received your verification documents. Okay will do that! Thanks! |
