One of the advantages of being living in the north, nothing concern them with bad naira notes. As much as the numbers are there, you are good to use it and buy anything. Which left me with the question; In what way does the southerners think they are smarter than the northeners?. If the banks can collect the "mediocre" naira notes (with complete numbers ofcourse), what stops you (the people) from legalising the use of it?. Must you wait on the clueless government to do everything for you? Instead of using common sense, you'll rather commit murder because of a use.less 50 naira note. Sorry @OP.

I appreciate your concern

I didn't know the N50 was bad as I earlier collected from a taxi driver. I thought he was joking not knowing he was mean after all my pleas.

That was the only money with me and all I had . He dragged me on the trouser up and down and finally tore open the shirt. Not as though I couldn't fight him back but just to stay calm.

Besides, what if he was armed? He threw the N50 on the ground and left after everything.

If i was President my first port of call will be to bann Nairaland and Sahara Reporters. Nairaland has become a haven for detractors and frustrated people. Imagine people angry the plane did not crash. Is this what Nairaland has turned into? From a gathering of intellectuals to this madness.

You don't have to wait for the president. Call for the ban yourself. Nonsense and ingredients! A man who obviously does not wish Nigeria and Nigerians well, you want the citizens to wish him well? Like someone said above that in jubilation" he would have ordered for 50 crates, I would have added another 50 crates. May be you are not from Nigeria and living in Nigeria.

So, the President should be worried that some evil and evil wishing Igbos wants him dead?

You Igbos are not serious, the evil you wish the righteous is manifesting where Igbos are killing each other as we speak..

The only reason why your evil wishes against the people's President is because God is on the side of the President and not on your evil side.

God bless PMB. sad grin

That is one thing with you gullible supporters of the half dead man in Aso Rock. Anybody who dislike the idiot in Aso Rock is IPOB.

The comments made my evening. Truly, when the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice and when the wicked rules, the people suffer. Buhari, this thread should summarize your leadership to you. Read the comments and ask yourself if Nigerians are happy with you or not.

It is one thing to say payment has been approved and its another thing to have the money disbursed.

Throughout last year, the FG did not even achieve 30% of their capital project captured in the fiscal year of 2019.

Why? Because they claimed to not have any money to pay owing to covid-19. The Minister of Finance confirmed this severally that there was a huge shortfall in revenue. So why did the FG not go for an amendment of the budget and face the reality? Instead they still went on with the budget which they will recycle in 2021 and 2022.

The problem is that the Buhari led govt has bankrupted Nigeria but still roll out useless budgets that are only meant to funnel money to their pockets under the guise of consultancy.

Now that is the reality on ground and you can see it with your own eyes with the dilapidated state of our infrastructure. Nothing is being done.

Do you know that every year at the Ministry of Works, they carry out an internal audit on roads that need to be refurbished and that this is done by Ministry staff? They just dust up the old QS they did since 2015 and then collect money as part of their internal costs.

So when you see that road that refuses to be rehabilitated, know that some one in the ministry has reserved that road to be collecting project assessment cost every single year. As long as that road remains unfixed, someone in the ministry that oversees that section of federal roads is making bank.

You sound very knowledgeable. Seems you have direct access to these ministries. It's a pity the corrupt minds we have in every sector of the economy. Too bad.

My brother if any contractor does half of the project or abandon the project, trust me it's a corruption collaboration with the government.

You don't just award contract to anybody you see on the street, agreements are reached and papers are signed. If the contractor bridges the terms of the contract, then the government should sue the contractor and not just telling us that the contractor ran away or abandoned the project.

You are very right. There are no excuses for contractors to fail in delivering the project except as you said, collaborated with the government

When the FG says they have released money, it mostly means they have given approval to the awarding agency to pay contractors. That agency then goes to the CBN to get the money sent and these steps take a lot of time. Sometimes weeks. So in the eyes of the Federal Executive Council, the money has been released. Hence they have paid.

To the contractors, they understand the money has been approved and the internal wranglings of getting the money out of the agency and CBN is the wahala. But theu have truly not been paid.

It still boils down to the fact that the contractors haven't been paid against the government claim. We have had cases whereby after government has claimed to have released funds, 3 years or more, nothing is seen done by the project.

Nigerian government: "We have released N10b to the contractors".

Contractors: "we are yet to receive a penny".

Looking at the prevailing style of governance in the country overtimes, as a true citizen of Nigeria, who would you believe in this scenario?

Personally, I would believe the contractors. Why? Because we run a government of lies, deceitfulness and propaganda in the country. Let's hear your own opinion.

I have searched online for any online work I can do for the main time but all to no avail.
I won't mind if there's any job link you can offer me either online or offline, I will gladly appreciate. If God lays it in your cry cry heart to support me financially too, I'll appreciate that too as I am currently financially decapitated.
Thanks.

After you scammed my benefactor? Guy, I don't want to curse you but you've already positioned yourself for ruin.

How come OP didn't the address before leaving for Lagos? In this age, anywhere you re going, the best is for you to get the person's address. Anything can happen with phone.

With the kind of person I have realized him to be, don't you think even the address would've been fake?

The scammer didn’t have to do that, he could have simply asked and get his own, without being a criminal. People who have a choice to get something legitimately should rather not resort to criminality to get it. Our mentality is really weird.
