Keep your security outfit in the north, every state has its own vigilante and security system, this is an affront, any state governor that allows this is a sell out. This is a sinister agenda, capable of causing chaos. Southern governors forum must resist this and warn this man to stop this trouble shooting. |

Racoon: How can soldiers be loyal to the President and not their country. How can they be patriotic? Sandhurst trained soldiers don't bear allegiance to the queen but to the UK nation. They actually are loyal to the queen. Their creed or moto is 'God save the Queen' Patriotism is being loyal to your country at all times, the country is an entity, the country is not the politicians. You people act like saboteurs wishing evil on Nigeria because Obi lost, that is plain stupidity. |

Safyqueen: Buhari's appointments was per zone. Therefore you will see three northerners to one Southwest, one southeast and one southsouth. The media will not tell you this. They will only be highlighting where northerners held but not how the equation balances.
Anyway this government will soon be booted out by the military. |

Politics › Re: Suggest A NEW System Of Government For African Nations by creativehubb: 6:15pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
Reasonable thread, we should look at finessing this democracy to suit us, rather than the copy and paste we are using now. For instance, Nigeria is not rich enough to cater for both Senate and house of representatives, let us disband one and save cost, secondly the people must have power to recall elected officials, thirdly we must use Ogun and our African gods in swearing oath, they will be more effective on politicians and political appointees. |

mrvitalis: And all of us brought together like this have same problem and saying the only way to solve our problem is sharing Africa alone ethnic lines
Just like Europe and Asia did to have peace after 100s of years of war You and a few minority are complaining and want break up, not all of us. Problems with Africa will not end just by separation and breaking up along ethnic lines. Problems of corruption and man's inhumanity to man exists within our state governments, local government and even wards. It's about changing the way we talk, changing the way we treat each other, being more conscious and less corrupt and criminal minded. Breaking up Nigeria is not the answer, the answer is in the individuals, we make up the system. |

Politics › Re: President Tinubu Reacts To Gabon Coup by creativehubb: 5:23pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
mrvitalis: Lmao comparing Nigeria with America shows u don't know what u are talking about
1) there is no country in the world that has Nigeria structure that's stable none... Roman Empire tried it for 600 years it failed
The most stable countries add ethnic nations 70% minimum or settler nations . .. It's impossible to have ethnic nations lumped together in almost equal power and expect it to work .. Impossible Most nations in Africa too, or you can't read? Am telling you what is, how most nations of the world came to be, I used America because most of you look up to America and the West. English people or Anglo Saxons, present day Great Britain too were colonized by Romans, they were people of different tribes too, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Anglo people and Saxons. You are just here on nairaland venting, it can't change what is, you will wait, get old and die, Nigeria will still be here. Read history and learn, Nigeria is not peculiar. My point is you people saying people can't be forced together, sound quite ignorant, it's the way 85% of nations of the world was formed, through colonization. |

Politics › Re: President Tinubu Reacts To Gabon Coup by creativehubb: 4:31pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
mrvitalis: You can force multiple people together and expect peace never in human history has it happened and won't start here Most nations of the world started via colonization, even America was colonized, most African nations were too...it's not just Nigeria where people of different tribes were brought together to form a nation. We are not peculiar, that's how majority of nations in the world started, different people of same continent/region brought together by a colonial head. Do your research. Those who can't live with others can isolate themselves, the world can not be what you want it to be. |

Funny thing is that the tyrant won't feel the blunt..... Most of the people in nairaland don't think things through, they should be careful what they wish for. |
Politics › Re: President Tinubu Reacts To Gabon Coup by creativehubb: 3:58pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
mrvitalis: we actually had fresh start in 1999
A United Nigeria Nobody can instill unity on the people, it is up to us. Agitations and division we suffer today, most started during military regime, the civil war started during military regime. I think Nigeria is united, apart from agitation about secession, majority of Nigeriana want to be in Nigeria and love it, of course people complain sometimes, it's human nature... people complain everywhere. I don't really understand what you mean by saying we were 'united' or had a fresh start in 1999... how? |
