MuslimPegan: Now you are accepting the fact the media hid from you which is good .
Some people argued that the likes Amechi, pat utomi are not igbos but once there is trouble they are regarded as igbos .
In Benue there is a very massive root deep Igbo community not like hosts or occupants , I mean born and raised dated back .
Some say they are not igbos but when there is trouble they are regarded that way especially by politicans.
Take a close look at what happened just today on nairaland front page , a drug trafficker was caught, origin Benue state .
Before reading the news the name omenka cut the attention of bigots and they called him Igbo man .
But if he did something positive he will be Benue man
If Kaduna nzeogwu stopped the coup he will be a SS man .
But now he is an Igbo man from his great grandma lol
Remember the serious issue in Lagos about GVR this is normal in Lagos it has happened before GVR I hope you did follow and understand the pattern Every sensible person knows that there are people reffered to as Delta igbos, which means igbos born in Delta, by the names you will know where people come from. The other reason why most people from South South would want their geopolitical zone as it is, is due to the war and the secession issue. I think the way it is, is perfect, we even need true Federalism, don't forget we all know how this country was brought together, we are from different tribes and cultures, that must always be represented in our national arrangements. |

Elsudani2: I want to ask you a question.
Where was Kaduna nzeogwu from
South South or south east?
Why was the the coup named Igbo coup ?
Just answer He is Delta Igbo, his ancestors migrated to the geographical location, of course they are some igbos in Delta, whose fore bears bore them there, but by their names, culture, style you can clearly see they are igbos. It's all love, but the breaking down of geopolitical zones is very good, rather than lumping people that have different culture, lifestyle, orientation into one, it's better the way we are, as we move towards true federalism. Don't forget a lot of so called minority were complaining when everyone was lumped together. |

MuslimPegan: That is logical but I don't see a need to create more states knowing the after effects later You are looking at things from the political prism, creating more states makes it easier to reach the grassroots more, people's voices are heard more. The way it is now makes more sense, than lumping people together. |

I brought the issue of Bendel for a purpose.
You are correct but my question is why was delta in Bendel knowing you will pass Edo before the west ? I think it's because Bendel is a old state, the Edo people started Benin empire a long time ago, most people that spread into Delta started off from Bendel/Edo. The leaders that did these changes, have proffesionals and history they consult, they didn't do everything because of power or politics, a lot of thought went into them. |

Bendel was part of the Western region, and your posts makes no sense, as people from Bendel has had a long ancestral history, from the Benin empire, it was due to administrative convenience that they were lumped together with southwesterners into Western region then, as time goes on, it made sense they brought people with same similarities together, South South people have similarities in progenity, I know, a bit of people with Igbo ancestry as with other tribes assimilated into South South as a minority, but people of the South South to a large extent share similar progenity, different from people of other geopolitical zones. Nothing wrong with breaking it down at all, it even makes more sense than lumping people together, breaking it down gives more voice to the people at the grassroot. everything is not politics. |

Russia must respect Africa's sovereignty and never participate in boosting military regimes in Africa. Russia must focus on building business, economic relationship with Africa, and have security co-operation with legit governments not rogue regimes. Russia must not be seen to be supportive of rogue regimes, if Russia has problems with European nations, he should deal with them outside of Africa. We don't want to be part of any proxy wars between Russia and France or whoever. African union, ECOWAS and regional bodies should be respected and allowed to solve regional issues. If Russia fail to recognize Africa's sovereignty, this bromance won't last. |

Of course, Nigeria has derived more benefits from kumuyi than Obi. Recently kumuyi constructed roads with money made from deeper life church. That is a noble gesture. Obi has not done any such thing with money he makes from his business, kumuyi is also honest and forthright, more than any other pastor I know in Nigeria. |

Jane74: Russians, give me money/technology and Bleep off, right? can I spit a chewed carrot into your mouth instead?
I wonder if the Russians take their hands off, where will the "independent" Africans take up arms to get rid of Western colonialism?.
They'll probably buy it from the French. From the USA. in general, they will buy weapons from those same colonialists in order to fight for their freedom. Of course, the best option would be to install an impenetrable dome over the whole of Africa and leave Africa to solve all its problems for 200 years.
But since this is impossible, many African countries will never ask your personal opinion about Russia's place in Africa.
Every country has the right to decide its own fate and choose with whom and how to do business and whose political interests to take into account
Well, of course you're cool. You speak authoritatively on behalf of the whole of Africa. and do you have the right to do this? Do you have the right to dictate anything to Algeria, Burkina Faso, Egypt or South Africa, eh? I didn't see anywhere I mentioned money, so you are one of the people misconstruing words and quotes and spreading falsehood. Russia must focus on technology exchange and business. Africa is blessed and rich, we only need to price our raw materials properly or better still process them ourselves. Learn to be objective, stop this childish way of arguing by lying. It's slave mentality to ask western nations or Russia to interfere in our social and political life. |

SpartaOfLagos: Stop talking like a fool .
This is the same pastor kumuyi saying the same thing that he told Buhari in 2017.. Kumuyi is a prophet, his job is to pray for Nigeria, he is not partisan, like those fake men of the pulpit taking sides. Kumuyi is an epitome of a righteous preacher. A preacher's role is to pray, speak blessings and prosperity on the land. A prophet is not a politician. Are you a Christian? You seem ignorant of the religion and it's dictates. |

That's why they call him an hypocrite, he is supposed to call his unlearned bunch to order. Adeboye is doing the right thing, as a prophet of GOD. Wishing good and blessings to the land, nation and it's people is what meek prophet do. For there is life in the tongue, Obi and obidients should learn from Sir Adeboye, rather than focusing on spreading negativity about Nigeria all day. Adeboye is an epitome of what a man of God should be, he is better than the rest. Lots of kids and emotional people in that obidient movement, serious people won't just wake up and call themselves obidients |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Yevgeny Prigozhin Feared Killed In Plane Crash In Russia (Photos) by creativehubb: 10:43am On Aug 24, 2023 |
Jane74: First, I want to say a few words about Prigozhin's rebellion.
I do not know who was the first to shout that Prigozhin wanted to overthrow Putin. And why is everyone, including Americans, repeating this nonsense now.
First, Prigozhin himself declared during the mutiny that he and his people were loyal to Putin, they staged a riot of justice against the corrupt Minister of Defense and the bad Russian general staff.
Secondly, after the mutiny a week later, Prigozhin and Wagner's commanders attended Putin's reception in the Kremlin. Where they proved to Putin that they were personally loyal to Putin and ready to become his personal guard.
Thirdly, immediately after the mutiny, Putin addressed the people of Russia TWICE. And both times he declared the instigators of the rebellion traitors to the army, the country and the people.
4. Wagner's commanders are retired military/intelligence officers with a very good career. Many have the highest awards of the state (Hero of Russia, for example). They know our entire power system from the inside. They knew perfectly well that they would not reach Moscow. They knew where they would be waiting on the way to Moscow and where they would be destroyed into dust without endangering civilians. They knew that in Rostov they would not be touched until the last because of the danger to civilians of the city, which they actually took hostage. The column of rebels traveling to Moscow did not take with them so much fuel and so much water/food that it was enough to get to Moscow.
5. I do not know what procedures are adopted in the Nigerian army, and in the Russian army, every unit, every officer knows only that piece of information that relates directly to his duties. Only the leaders of the entire operation know the full picture.
. Many participants of the mutiny learned that they were rebels only from the news or from relatives who went crazy with horror, who began to contact the soldiers by phone/ Internet.
Therefore, in Rostov, many Wagnerians escaped and surrendered to the military police, and the column moving to Moscow began to melt along the way. Trucks with soldiers suddenly dissolved, turning off the main highway at a convenient moment.
Because many soldiers and junior officers carried out the order "to leave point A to point B" and did not know anything else.
6. well, the most important thing.
What are the real, not imaginary, consequences of the rebellion?
See for yourself.
On the eve of the rebellion, Prigozhin records a video message where he declares that Ukraine did not bomb Donbass for 8 years, did not try to arrange a humanitarian catastrophe in Crimea, it was the evil Russians who attacked Ukraine - he repeated exactly what Zelensky and his henchmen constantly repeat. A day or two before the mutiny, the Ukrainians launched their pre-announced counteroffensive
Wagner did not overthrow Putin and did not even get to corrupt ministers, but he blocked at least one military airfield so that planes could not make combat sorties to the front to support soldiers on the front line; and at that moment Ukrainian troops were advancing on them
And finally, in less than a day, Wagner's group destroyed as many Russian helicopters and planes as Ukrainian troops could not destroy in the previous 2.5 months. About two dozen people were killed, at least one aircraft serving electronic warfare was shot down and which does not have weapons on board, but has a lot of expensive equipment and very valuable specialists. And the Wagners could not have been unaware that the plane was not dangerous for them at all (there were no weapons) - they deliberately destroyed it.
And so. understand a simple thing, please. The whole of Russia (well, except for those who worked in the media empire of Prigozhin) was in shock, horror and great anger because of this. The mercenaries conducted a raid in the rear of the warring army, hunting Russian pilots.
And Putin, in his address to the people, said this about the Wagners: they stuck a knife in the back of the Russian people in a difficult time. During the war.
Once again: for the citizens of Russia, Prigozhin and those who planned the operation are scoundrels, traitors, the last bastards. And the fact that the instigators of the rebellion went unpunished caused great discontent among people. Although everyone understood that this was done in order not to arrange a massacre in Rostov, which the mercenaries actually took hostage. It was also necessary to take away heavy weapons from the group without resistance.
When a week later the Ministry of Defense reported HOW MANY and WHAT heavy weapons the Wagners handed back to the Russian army..
everyone was in shock. No one could even imagine how dangerous this gang turned out to be.
Everyone understood that the leaders had to be released in order not to arrange a civil war in the rear of the belligerent army, but everyone was dissatisfied.
And of course, investigations began.. how did it happen that at the state expense (Wagner received money and weapons from the Ministry of Defense + billion-dollar contracts for the supply of food to the active army for Prigozhin's personal holding), such a terrible monster as Wagner appeared. unmanageable in general. and having planes, and tanks, and MLRS, and so on.
Investigations are still pending.
In general, talking about whether Putin ordered Prigozhin, it should be borne in mind - what his rebellion really was and what the citizens of the country think about it. Putin called those participating in the mutiny 'traitors' venturing to 'capture' Moscow was a redline. Wagner boss was a threat to Africa, parading his men in dictator military regime in West Africa, clearly shows he is not a friend of Africa. Yes France must go, yes neocolonialism must end, but we must not throw the region into disorder and chaos, military regime is not the answer. Russia must hands off African politics and society life, and only focuseon technology exchange, and doing business for mutual benefits. If Russia starts doing what he accuses west of, then they will be hypocrites. Africa must determine its own fate. |

Why is your own different? If you had a good business or job since, why complain about Tinubu that is just about three months in power. Remi Tinubu made a very big point I see many people don't understand till now. You can't wait for government for every single little thing you want to do or you are capable of doing.
