Omo
Python are truly harmless to children.
When i was serving in ondo state, one very big python was just hanging on the wall, observing every body until a child mistakenly touched it and screamed that was how we knew a python was there.
The only mystery I couldn't understand was how that particular python managed to have the same colour the school painting |

Mercychen: But ignore girls will not cheat on you in marriage with your neighbor or any small boy in the street.
We are not promiscuous like our counterparts and we make very responsible wifes when we eventually settle down. I assumed you made a typographical error in typing "IGNORE" instead of "IGBO" but thats not the issue. What you said up there is fallacy. Cheating with neighbors or small boys has nothing to do with tribe. I've seen sugar mummies from both the east and west so cheating has nothing to do with tribe. |

Raalsalghul: Calm down.
I'm Igbo too and I agree with that guy.
Yoruba ladies are more willing to accept an upcoming dude compared to their Igbo counterparts. I'm not saying that Igbo ladies or the customs/traditions are bad but it is what it is and this is something I've seen time and time again without number.
Cc: crismark ndo1 You made a very nice point. I dnt know how to explain to those dummies that am igbo from Nise, Awka South to be precise. They want everyone to support their greedy traditions |

RightToReject: Most of you in your desperate bids to appear woke, if Igbo by tribe, or maintain ethnocentrism and revel in bigotry, if not Igbo by tribe, have always proved that commonsense is not common. Given that there are a lot of men who are menial job holders and who might have not had up to 50,000 naira savings at any point in their lives but are legally married from the same Igboland, that should tell any sane person, but definitely not mentally parochial element like you and your ilks, that Igbo culture does not mandate that any man marrying from Igboland must spend money in millions. Assumption! I dnt have time to defend myself as if am defending my thesis. Igbo culture is centered around greed that was the reason i shunned the useless culture. Check out their culture on burials and weddings you would realize it was drafted out by hungry and greedy old men in their bid to fill their empty pockets. |

Most of our Igbo culture has its foundation clouded in greed. It all about stomach infrastructure. You are right bro. When you counter their useless reasoning, they will jump to a conclusion that you are poor. |

okoroemeka: don't blame and call Igbo culture stupid for not marrying,Igbo culture should not be generalized and from your comments you are just looking for excuses and who to blame for your ineptitude, last Sunday I accompanied my farm manager to umunze for formal introduction to his in-laws,guys are getting married everyday and you are complaining,do you want to marry someone's daughter without doing the important traditional rites for the family and community?do you want to be given a wife on hire purchase?if finance is what is holding you from marrying and Igbo lady please restrategize and improve your finance and stop calling Igbo custom stupid. Poor people are always quick to call others poor simply because the only thing in their brain is poverty. The so called ladies you call evening newspaper are mostly igbos simply because their men don't have that much money to spend on bride price. I have a very good paying business but wont spend that much on marrying one expensive girl simply because she is from my tribe. Stop assuming everybody is poor simply because they air their opinion on ur useless culture. |

I never mentioned am a millionaire but am surely better off than your poor family. It isn't my fault that generational poverty has been the only inheritance in your family lineage. Learn to live with the fact that our igbo culture is a problematic culture. You see an igbo man of 45years giving birth to his first child all because he couldn't raise money for the useless gigantic bride price. At what stage will he train his children to before he retires. One advice from me to you and finally pass it to your father. Tell your father the only way to break the generational poverty in his lineage is to use you for money rituals as you are no longer fit to be classified as a human |

Am very sure if you put all your family financial resources together, it won't be greater than mine(am not boasting). That your family is poor doesn't make everybody in Nigeria poor. I simply won't marry from my tribe(igbo) because of the high cost of bride price and the wedding ceremonies (white and traditional). They want the man to foot all the bills starting from introduction.
I don't see myself spending over 1m simply because i want to put a woman in my house. Never!
I see my yoruba guys getting married even tho am way richer than them. Yoruba culture has made things easy for the men while my stupid igbo culture keeps making life difficult for we young folks.
I will never please others and displease my pocket. The very moment i see a yoruba girl that ticks 80% of the boxes, am getting married. |

wonder233: The most futile exercise a govt can embark on is buying cars. In a few years, you won't see these cars again. Whether under the guise of "empowerment" or any such political jargons, it is simply a means of awarding juicy procurement contracts to cronies. If the govt is serious, it should focus attention to delivering intra-state fast light rail networks, link water ways, open up the hinterlands to spread development and aid decongestion of the city centre. Sttategic planning not pedestrian politics of buying cars You are wise bro. You are wise |
