This issue of jamb regularisation I quite confusing for me... I just went to the jamb admission office close to me and the official I met there said I can't register for service When my jamb number is still showing no admission offered...

This matter just dey scatter my head...

I don't know what to do...

Yeah.
Have you verified your name on NYSC Portal comfirming it is there?
Were you admitted into school through JAMB or other forms and have undergone regularization - i.e., have a Valid Jamb number with your admission affiliated in JAMB to that JAMB Reg. No.?

If yes to the above, then you have little to worry about. A friend of mine familiar with such cases and NYSC online registration told me of persons who have served and till date, still have the status information 'NO ADMISSION OFFERED YET'

He insist that all JAMB and NYSC are interested in is that your admission has has a backing in JAMB's database.

However, you can still seek for alternative solutions just to make sure all you are required to do, has been done.

I mean, there's actually nothing exciting about this whole NYSC ish, i'm one of the many people who think it should even be scraped! Cant wait to get it over and done with. Its just a time waster.

NYSC being scrapped had always been my prayer. I graduated some years behind but refused to serve as opportunities showed up.

But this whole exaggerated NYSC thing had deprived me alot of greater grounds.

THE THOUGHT OF SUSPENDING MY LIFE AND ACTIVITIES FOR ONE FULL YEAR FOR SAKE OF SERVICE HAS ALWAYS AND STILL REMAINS A TOUGH ONE FOR ME.

We just don't have a better option as Nigerians!

MODIFIED: It will be better if NYSC becomes optional for sake of my friends who desire it as an experience and source of initial income after school.

Ask some people that are serving. most of them can't wait to finish. According to someone, she said only the camp is fun and what determines whether you will be happy or not is your PPA. When in service, you are expected to stay in your state and not travel. At times, when they call for meeting and you are not present, you ll get extension of service year and if you break a rule too.
My fellow Otondos, I wish all of us well and a successful service year.

Nice one dear. However, we're not itching to go for service because it is a dead-end achievement (not when I had to leave my full-time work in order to do this).
Its just that NYSC in Nigeria has become the de-facto standard for attainment of greater opportunities, getting and executing Contracts and Projects that has to do with the Government, High end Parastatals and NGOs, and even looking down the political line.

THE TRUTH IS THAT FOR SOME OF US, THE EARLIER WE CAN PRODUCE AN NYSC DISCHARGE LETTER, THE BETTER OUR ABILITIES WILL BE TRUSTED FOR CERTAIN PAYMENT STRUCTURE

With respect to goals we have set for next year and others after the service year, defines the reason why we are anxious to not only go for service on time, but to complete the entire service requirement on time.

Nonetheless, in addition to what Kbs468 and LogoDWhiz have said and assuming the school refuses to do anything to deliberately effect the correction, I Suggest you stick to the one that has the correct ordering of your name - from surname to Firstname and thereafter, middle name.
Your school and NYSC will take care of the Unnecessary repetition.
