1. Call-Up Number is a unique number
given to you after succesfully completing
your online registration!
2. Call-Up Letter is a letter that contains
information about your state of service,
the stream you're going with and other
vital details which were provided during
registration
3. Orientation Course is a duration of 3
weeks where corp members are given
trainings both in combat to help in their
respective place of primary assignment
and also skill building oriented trainings.
4. Swearing In is a ceremony held to
begin the service year, it serves as a
ceremony to ''índuct'' the PCMs into CMs
5. Passing Out is the process or ceremony
being observed when Corp Members
complete their service year!
6. Primary Assignment is a place being
assigned to you for your duration of the
service year. A place where you'll serve
your father land, perform selfless service
for the community. It might be working
in a firm, or teaching in a school or
working in the ministry or any other place
you are asked to work
7. Community Development Service is a
service being rendered by corpers to their
immediate society for the betterment of
these communities.
8. SAED this simply means Skill
Acquisition and Entrepreneurship
Development. This is a support system
created to assist corp members with skills
awaiting activation. SAED is about skills
trainings in different skills availble like
tailoring, cosmetology, agro-allied and so
on
9. Relocation/REdeployment: This is the
process where corp members can
relocate/redeploy from where they were
posted due to reasons best known to
them, some reasons are security issues,
marriage and health issues.
this is usually done 3 months after the
orientation excercise has being
conducted.
10. clarion call. This is the selfless call to
serve our father land. Under the sun,

Of course yes it will work. As a matter of fact, that was exactly what I used.

Remember, when you are connecting two Data Termination Equipment (DTE) on a Point-to-Point basis, going by standards, Cross-Over is the most suitable cable for the connection.

The reason why your Laptops can also perfectly work with Straight-Through is because of the Auto-Sensing feature which has been integrated to modern day NICs.

I am just trying to clear the air so that as PCMs are making Cross River a choice working with the assumption that the entire state looks like Calabar, they are many interior regions with little or total absence of some basic things like good road, Telecommunication networks, electricity, Banks, Tourist attractions, and the likes of them.

Such that if you are posted outside Calabar to any of these LGAs, that will be the fate you have to contend with for approximately a year.

I thought I was the only one who noticed flaws in that writing - Shift in tenses and contradictions.

For example, in the initial phase of the write up, they were claiming to sound like NYSC body themselves report unprofessionally ( It has come to our notice that most person name are on NYSC portal , But are still saying they can find their names. We advice your check from a computer or send your name to friends who has seen theirs ).

At a later phase in the writing, they were now sounding as PCMs like us ( We are still choosing three state from any of Nigeria geopolitical zone outside your state of origin and state of school attended )

I also think that anything regarding date of Camping or whatever that opposes NYSC intension of keeping that a secret as stated in the Time Table and laid out in their site should be disregarded.

The payment of 3k is for the online printing of call up Number /Letter. This will be done, during the Registration. U can use your Master Card, or the Centres u can use theirs and u pay them back in cash, demanding on how you wanna do it.

It's better you pay online and get your call up Number instantly, than waiting for the school call up letter, because that of school takes time.

To gain your exact state of choice, you will have to register precisely on the first day, and as early as possible.... The Website will be opened for registration @ exactly 12:01am (00:01), so if u can register as early as 7 am, u stand a chance of getting your state of choice.

Most over populated or 5 star rating states like LAGOS, CALABAR, RIVERS, ABUJA etc would be filled up before 9th. And if u apply in these states afterwards, you are likely to be thrown to other Regions Mostly NORTH.
