Bola4boy:Abeg how do you guys measure this fuel consumption and MPG whatever?? I'm terrible at mathematics, maybe that's where my problem is even coming from. Because the last time I checked, you have to calculate Trip A and B whatever whatever, omo na so I just run oo. I use my weekly usage to calculate my fuel consumption now🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
Bola4boy:Oh.. Now I understand. Anyway this issue you narrated is not something I have any information about. Maybe other elders in the house can be of help. |
jceesquare:Lol... See my Chairman is whining me oo. Please stop the pretense jorr..😂😂😂😂😂 |
Bola4boy:How did you come to the conclusion that the non follow come radiator might have a direct link with your fuel consumption? Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, of radiator has anything to do with fuel consumption, then it means you need to check if your thermostat is in place or your fan has been directly wired. Once your thermostat has been bypassed, your fan blows without stop and your engine can never attain optimum temperature in that manner, which in turn causes your ECU to send signal to burn more fuel to try to get the engine to its recommended temperature. Also, concerning getting a catalytic converter, if funds is not gonna be an issue, I'll advise you leave that spacer and get a china catalyst instead. I bought same and currently using it without any check engine lights on my dashboard. For fuel concerns, also try to look at your 02 sensors, EGR, injector head, plugs and ensure that they are all in perfect condition or else, some of these things if not in proper working condition might also impact negatively on your fuel consumption. Just scan the car, get codes if any, and treat them one after the other. I presently use EOD too, and I hope my little knowledge helps. |
Macmilla:This catalytic converter issue is one topic that i find really amazing especially in Nigeria. Series of opinions have been gotten differently on it. Here isy submission: -Catalyst is purely an emission/climate control initiative -Catalyst in my own opinion helps with conservation of fuel because when your air/fuel mixture is correct, the ECU doesn't need to pump more fuel into the engine to gain optimum performance. However I think this relates to vehicles that have both upstream and downstream catalysts -Nigeria has a country doesn't have a strict emissions control body, therefore de-catting is indirectly encouraged. Also due to the price of catalyst in the market, you can get spacers as an alternative for catalyst but finding the one that works is a task these days. In my own case, I got a Chinese complete Catalyst, it does the job and the check engine light isn't showing on my dashboard but it gets corrupted after some time (2yrs) and then start to show check engine light. - Side note: When using an original complete Catalyst, it's also prone to getting blocked after few years and when not detected early, it causes serious damage to the engine if not careful. |
pipolad:Thanks Boss. |
cashcraft11:I suspect the speedometer console is bad or having partial contact. Kindly get a rewire to check it out and see if it's repairable or needs a total replacement. I leave the floor to the elders to give their professional inputs. |
nurey:Good for you Sir |
nurey:You got the drill, who wouldn't want to be an admin just like the same way being an admin made you a billionaire right? |
vivalavida:Every thread created about Honda have become redundant. The only partially active one is the "Maintenance Tips" thread. The purpose of this thread is for a social/advice/technical community. |
bestlary:It's a great idea and I hope other Honda users buy into it. |
This page is dedicated to Honda enthusiasts around Nigeria to create a community where solutions and ideas can be shared based on over the years experience of using an Honda vehicle. As at date, I'm aware of the Volvo and Lexus community here on nairaland which has also metamorphosed into a bigger and more interactive community on Whatsapp which I was once part of. It would be a great idea if same can be replicated for Honda users as well. The floor is open to both current users and intending users of Honda to rob minds and also educate people about the amazing machine we are opportuned to own. Welcome. Luvinhubby Jceesquare Macmilla |
johnnyn1:Acura is more sophisticated in terms of performance, build, components. However this comes with a deep pocket for maintenance and the fact that TSX isn't really too noticeable on the Nigerian roads, the parts are mostly available especially in Lagos but the parts are definitely not scarce. Civic in the other hand is a mid and common car with parts readily available anywhere you are, it can be described as the Corolla of Honda because of its fuel economy. Depends on what you look out for in vehicles, if you love performance, balance and aesthetics, then go for the Acura. But if you just need a car to move you from point A to point B, then go for the Civic. If you decide to settle for Acura, try to get the 2010/2011 version. I advise later years of a new product because most times, new designs of cars released in the first year are prone to recalls for few corrections, and these corrections are always perfected in the later years of production for same vehicles. In all of this, if you don't have a good maintenance culture and attention to details, please stay away from Honda/Acura vehicles because it will m3ss you up and you might end up joining the group of people who say "Honda vehicles are not reliable" I hope this helps. |
BlindAngel:This is where your problem started from, and I also see you repeating same mistake you made on the Camry if you're not careful. You're a newbie with cars and I'll advise that if you successfully sell off this Camry with issues, kindly take a break for three months first to learn about cars, know the one that matches your taste and features, read up on pro's and cons of each of them before you proceed to search for the vehicle. Stop listening to what people tell you about vehicles especially Toyota, because you'll cry hot tears. Do your personal research and go with a competent mechanic to do a full diagnosis of the vehicle before purchase. I hope you listen.🤔🤔 |
kelvinmnet:For the AUX, just get the picture below from AliExpress, you won't regret it. I installed it on my EOD and it gives me the perfect and clear sound quality, better than those rubbish plug and play Bluetooth that works with radio frequency.

EgunMogaji2:Wow so you're the famous Prince Somorin on Twitter. Sorry about the accident. I always wondered why you don't do Super Bike posts anymore. Speedy recovery Boss. |
jceesquare:Nice one.. |
iamoyindamola:That's Pixel 5a not the Pixel 5. I currently use a Pixel 5 and it's fluidity is top notch. The downside I have with the phone is that it looks too much like Pixel 4a and it's just a 6 inch display phone. If you're a fan of a big screen, then it's not advisable for you. It's a good portable phone if you ask me. |
frankolett:I don't think it will be easy for anyone to give an answer to your request because nobody knows the specs or features you look out for in a phone. Kindly do your research, narrow down your options to 3-5 different phones and come here to ask for opinions, I think that will be best in guiding you properly. I hope this helps |
Craggybogg:I have seen a couple of them in Nigeria severally. If I'm not mistaken, you can get the Acura TSX or the normal American spec dashboard as well as other accessories of same year for it and it will fit properly, only the steering logo might be different. If you're in Lagos, just go to Willoughby Street in Oyingbo and I'm very certain you'll get all what you need there. |
olaboyeh:Contact @jceesquare. He's your best bet Boss |
noobody:Boss abeg leave that werey make him continue to fool himself. They will just come from nowhere and start yarning dust. |
Starboytwo:Hmmm... That's very outrageous. I recently got a Taiwan ball joint for 25k. Other Chinese brands and tokunbo even costs less. So I don't know how he's billing you 50k for ball joint. Since you know he has a knack for inflating prices for you and also profiled you to ba a Yahoo boy, how are you sure you can trust his services enough to be honest with his dealing and he's not in any way doing half works so you can always come back to his shop for repairs. Think about it Sir, this is enough ground for me to break ties with such a mechanic. |
Gentledizzle:Yes please. |
Mukah1234:10k for the Airtel WiFi |
abiolag:For durability of engine and gearbox, performance, quality interior/exterior build, availability of reliable parts (not rebuilt parts), nice aesthetic... Just go for the Honda Accord because it gives you great performance and better handling along with all that I mentioned earlier. If you wanna follow the normal Naija talk then go for the Camry. But I can assure you that with today's exchange rate, the 13pin unreliable gearbox it carries costs nothing less than 1million (with high chances of buying a rebuilt transmission). The 4-cylinder variant is notorious for oil burns too which is a nightmare for the user in the long run. The shocks too are always a problem. If you lack a good maintenance culture please stay away from Honda vehicles because it will mess you up. Honda Accord is known for suspension wear always, so you really need to be a detailed person to avoid it going out on you. I believe this will help in your decision making. |
pheranme9:Contact has been included. Apologies for the omission |
ZeroSpace:Apologies for the omission, Contact has been updated now. I tried calling you but your location was too noisy. |

Please I need a replacement Pixel 5 screen. My screen got bad with multiple lines on it after it fell, but it didn't shatter. Is there any idea on how to clear the line? |
elkharpone:Apologies... It has been sold already. Thanks for showing interest |
