sunnyb0b0: Op, stop putting a spin on it. The only area in which the constitution prevents him from marginalising an area is in the area of ministerial appointments. The constitution requires that every state should have at least one minster in the cabinet. So Buhari must appoint ministers from the 36 states but other than that, there is nothing binding him to appoint from each state. That is just 36 appointments out of more than 6,000. Thank you very much. He will marginalize the SS/SE in the more important federal project allocations which is purely at the will of the president. Evil man. |

ollah1: Nigerians ehnn. Even God doesn't treat everybody equally. Don't be deceived when they say we are same in God's eyes. Wetin Tom go do wy go click, harry go do am 500 times e no go click.
The problem with Nigerians is that they don't like the truth. Every truthful sayer ends up with criticisms or worse. They love a dribbler like OBJ. The people he wants to marginalize sustains the country. What does the north and the SW contribute to our foreign revenues that will be used to compensate his ''95%'' people.? |

mandax: A lesson for GEJ who treated north and northerners like idols all his tenure, while there were hardly any good federal roads in the SS and SE all his tenure. It's sickening to believe that some SS people do not feel equal to northerners in the Nigeria federation. GEJ is a slowpoke. He was too educated for his own good. A wike as president would have been far better for the SS. |

InvertedHammer: / Iran, Russia, North Korea, China, etc are proving themselves in the global arena and USA is sending delegates to.negotiate with them.
In the case of Nigeria, they run around as beggars and turn around to spite those that will not commit their own resources to help Nigeria. How low can a country go?
The resources are there. Just prove that there are people with common sense in.a country of 150millions. That in itself becomes a chore. An average Nigerian will complain that there is no respect for Nigeria forgetting that respect is earned. Who respects a beggar?
Barcanista even shamelessly had to come to.NL to write how the begging escapade is not as fruitful as it should. If he had castigated PMB for not looking inward for solution, his article would have made sense. Why are Nigerians educated to feel inferior?
/ That is what Nigerians will never understand in international politics. You need to prove yourself before others will respect you. If Nigeria for example had developed the technology to develop decent drones, the US will be more interested and eager in selling us her world class weapons as a way of keeping us within her sphere of influence and preventing us from going ''rogue'' with such technical capability. Nigeria unfortunately does not have basic technologies and so does not interest the US as a significant partner. Nigeria is busy begging for handouts like slaves. |

frank043: You think the US will help? The US government doesn't venture into any deal that they don't stand to gain 100%. Check out all the African countries they have been to and see how they have turned into a war zone. Making a deal with the US government is like eating with the devil... Eat with a pretty long spoon. Anyways, I'm not against progress, but I advice that the Nigerian government be extra careful. The US will help if your country is productive and mature. It is like asking an adult to give a child a gun. The US will not give a baby country like Nigeria substantial lethal military aid. A country like Nigeria governed by madmen. Check out countries like southkorea, japan, saudi arabia, israel, egypt, singapore that are huge beneficiaries of US military aids. These are matured, productive countries with a defined foreign policy. |

We expect USA to ......
Nigeria is a country of its own and not the 51st state in USA.
USA can promise and are not under any obligation to deliver. They don't owe Nigeria sh#t. If you fvckers cannot get your house in order, don't expect a stranger to do. I find it annoying that the most input you get from so-called educated (albeit ignorant) folks from Nigeria is the notion that the world is a welfare organization where Nigeria's only job is to stretch out hands for free hand outs. God forbid Nigerians think.and be able to develop their own weapons and logistics. And you still want to rub shoulders with Oyibo? Let the wailing continue. USA has oil in abundance now in their backyard so Nigeria is inconsequential. oh well, i agree with you. And the fact is Nigeria will never earn that respect, because this country will never be productive unless some radical national restructuring is carried out. And i don't see that happening in the next 100 years. The fault lines are just too much. |

Captain6: Op, let's keep our fingers crossed and watch how the new government delivers their campaign promises, unnecessary criticism will never change the fact Pmb is in charge now, even he is impeached today, Osinbajo(same Apc)will take over,We took shits from Party of dump people for 16years,am so glad that change has come, let's be patient and hopeful, the worst is over. ''Unnecessary'' critism is not what is stopping buhari from working. None of his critics dictate policy for him or influence his government ,given the fact that buhari is unteachable. Nigeria is a third world shithole overan by terrorists and being governed like a cattle house, so yes, criticism is in order. Tell your buhari to get to work and stop blaming innocent critics. |
