I am disappointed o.
And here was i thinking you were one of the few ladies on nairaland with decent grasp on general issues. Well, maybe politics and current affairs is not your thing.
Bokoharam the second most deadliest terrorist group in the world is not shia but sunni.
Fulani Herdsmen the third most deadliest terrorist group in the world is also not shia but sunni.
Shia muslims are the least of your problems. They don't even have the population.
Don't allow mindless zombies to capitalize on your ignorance.

Mr, I am igbo. What is the relevance of this thread?
Fani kayode has been rendered persona non grata in the SW by his own people, which means he is more or less like a freak of nature there. The default configuration of the afonja people is to worship buhari. Anything else is an anomaly.
The way they attack people like fayose and FFK enmass should tell you everything you need to know.
Go and look for something to do instead of opening moronic threads.

Muslim must be next Ondo Governor – NSCIA
The Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) on Monday said a Muslim should be given a chance to become the next governor of the state.

NSCIA lamented that over 40 years that the state has been created, Muslims in the state have been shortchanged by political gladiators in terms of reaching the peak of their political or civil service levels.

The State Chairman of NSCIA, Imam Habibullah Akinpelumi, who stated this at a press conference in Akure, the state capital also said political parties would be causing more harm if they present Christian/Christian ticket ahead of the November 26, poll.
kinpelumi said, “since the creation of Ondo state, the Muslim community of our place of pride has consistently support the political and socio-economic development of our dear state with no less than 45 percent measure.

“We have consistently worked for the success of past and present administration, even when the state is being ruled by an evangelist we still gave our best to ensure the success of his administration.

“The question is what did we get as a community for this progressive stand? The answer to this one million dollar question is as clear as the horizon. The Muslims in the state have nothing to show for their contribution to the development of Ondo State.

“From the civil service to the public sector, education to health sector, industries and engineering and the worth the political field. The Muslims have been paid with nothing. We have been treated worse than even a second class citizen in a place we were borne and are proud to call ours. We have been shortchanged and reduced to nothing. Our situation is precarious and if care is not taken the future may be catastrophic.

“Muslims have never being appointed as Head of Service, Chairman Civil Service Commission, Chairman teaching Service commission, Accountant and auditor general of the state. Muslim as a community has never produced the Chief judge.

“The worst experience the Muslim as a whole have always had is that the political gladiators who call the shot have always denied the Muslims the road to prosperity. They have always denied the Muslims juicy political post not for wants of competency but because of their religious inclination. They have made it a law that a Muslim cannot rule this state that we all claim to own together”.

“We are saying with more than 1.5milliom muslim in our dear state and with over 500,000 voting power, Muslims are poised politically with a strong vigor to determine who who the next governor our state would be.

“We are saying this for posterity, Muslims today, more than any other group, are poised to give any political party who wish to listen to this call our block vote

“While we would continue our campaign for a Muslim governor in the state with a renewed vigor, we will not comprise our present political height. We will dare any political party that will produce a Christian-Christain ticket. Any political party that fly anything less than a balance ticket may regret it decision, we will aggressively mobilise the consolidated muslim Ummah of the state for the next governorship election”.

The fact that some people are trying to defend him shows Nigeria is far from being a mature democracy.
If it were places like the UK,US or ultra-feminist nations like Sweden, Australia and the rest of Scandinavia, that would be the political end.
Nobody would need to tell him that he is done. He would just be counting the remaining part of his single tenure and be careful not to even get impeached before his single tenure is done.
The women in Nigeria though are jonzers.

Guy even obama knew he needed key party members to succeed...why do u think he hired his opponent during the primaries (clinton)

Every aspect of governance is politics you need support of politicians else you will fail and pmb's greatest ally in naija should be tinubu yet right from NASS leadership to KOGI he has been deliberately frustrating tinubu thus splitting the APC.

Till today he hasn't said anything on ondo or oyegun v tinubu issue.

If tomorrow wike or okowa cross over to apc do u think those militant bombings will continue? It's all politics and pmb is refusing to do the needful.
When did tinubu become the SW?
The SW already has a much bigger budget under buhari. Buhari also appointed tinubu's men in his govt.
What else do you selfish people want? Are you the only people that voted for him?
You want him to give tinubu everything at the expense of others and you expect his presidency to succeed. You are not serious.
Buhari is much smarter than you guys give him credit for, atleast when it coming to dealing with tinubu related issues.
And Please don't mention Obama here. Obama will never be seen to be playing favourites to certain people that voted for him at the expense of others. That is not how to be a good president.

oduastates:
A little bit of exaggeration here.
There are far more non oil, yoruba owned but the major problem is class mobility.
I have raised some of the issues in this article directly or
Indirectly in the past.
Like,
1 why are they not trying to reclaim the no one cocoa title in ondo state and then following it up with processing.

2 Why are Lebanese, Syrian etc building our road and buildings despite the number of people calling themselves engineers.

3 why are the governors wasting money on non economic roads, bridges, flyovers

And so on.
adeyinka should also know that Local industries will always stand no chance when a government ( Jonathan and Iweala) not only opened the economy to reckless importation, but started giving waivers for items like toothpick, frying pan.It simply does not make business sense.
On the subject of legacy, he is damn right. Tinubu has no human legacy. Where are the scholarships, overseas industrial training, industrial estates etc.
I once said that his biggest failure is failing to upgrade and replace local governance with bright, young and energetic modernists. Beyond the governorship level, most of the rest are fit for purpose.
Nigeria's foreign direct investment portfolio under jonathan was the record highest ever in Nigerian history, and most of those investments were coming to Lagos and a few of those trickling down to ogun state as well as other states in the south like Abia and Anambra.
The South West did much better economically under Jonathan than it is currently doing now and it is not just a function of oil prices but economic and monetary policies. How many foreign or even local businesses are coming to the Lagos nowadays?.
I am not a fan of jonathan but truth need to be said. The lot of the South west has grown worse under Buhari, especially given the fact that it has always needed foreign investors to function at all. You may choose to embrace the truth, you may choose not to.

A male Building Contractor would create a thread without needing to allude to his gender, while the female would always want to show us how the female gender is the weaker sex and so must be applauded for any attempt to break through the stereotype.

While I agree with some of your assertions, I believe the main thrust of our energy as youths should be channelled into getting Nigeria to practice true fiscal federalism.

Decentralized power. Give more autonomy to regions, states and local governments. Let us determine our own future.

Let each region grow at it's own pace.

That is more achievable and a better objective than trying to unite Southern Nigeria. A pipe dream if you ask me. The ghost of biafra civil war is very much active.

Instead of canvassing votes for somebody because of his region
You need a progressive govt brought forth by a progressive system to birth progressive ideas.
True federalism is a progressive idea, your president and his fans does not want to hear about it.
And how do you change the status quo? By changing the game. And you can only change the game on the altar of justice and fair-play.
