Mrexcell:Doyin okupe already said so. Peter obi does not want to be vice presidential candidate to anyone. He has what it takes to do the job better than any of the so called heavy weights, and if Nigerians don't choose him, that is your collective lose. |
Mooh247:If obi offered to be VP to atiku, atiku would give it to him sharp sharp on the spot. He won't think twice. Atiku is the one to gain here, not obi. It's Peter obi that would be downgrading his name and reputation and disappointing his loyal fans. Stop spouting nonsense. |
Where are those people that are laughing that obi was schemed out of the pdp? Your next president is going to be either tinubu or atiku. Keep laughing o. Just pray that a manageable option like osinbajo emerges. If not eh, I pity una future. |
Peter obi as a hypothetical governor of Lagos is not going to divert state resources to build vanity projects like the eko Atlantic. Not when the mainland is a complete eye sore and poverty rate is still high and health care facilities are not well spread. Many communities in Lagos don't even have public schools. Resources would be used where they are most needed. If a private investor wants to develop vanity projects like eko Atlantic, then Good luck, government would support them with good will and pray they succeed. But state resources would go to where they are most needed. |
Imagine Peter obi as governor of Lagos or even Rivers. The entire inner city road networks would be built, proper poverty alleviation and human infrastructure development. Schools would be properly funded and managed. And their sub-sovereign wealth saving would nearly rival Nigeria's federal sovereign wealth fund. Infact by the time he is done, the populace of those states would not only revolt against their past governors, but also the federal government. |
SugarGirl44:Anambra is not under developed compared to other States. When Peter obi was Governor, anambra ranked high in many human developmental indices in health care, education, poverty rate. At that point, anambra had one of the lowest poverty rate in the country. He won many international awards from the UN and also bill Gates foundation for proper human development. He invested in the human capital and built critical infrastructure like roads, schools and hospitals to the point where the federal ministry of roads and transport at that time said Anambra had the best road network in the country. He did not build extravagant projects like many governors do because he knew what was important. He did a poverty mapping of the state and found that he needed to open the rural roads to create access to the urban markets for the rural farmers who were the poorest in the state, which drastically increased the income capacity of the rural populace. Besides, anambra is not a very wealthy state like say Lagos or Rivers State, so he had to manage the small wealth well. And yet he cleared the arrears of pension and gratuities, invested in human and physical infrastructure and still saved for the next governor. With that small money that anambra has? How many governors have that kind of record? Even governors of rich states don't have that kind of record. They are busy looting, building needless flyovers and even owing salaries and pensions. He has been faithful in little, imagine what he could do for Nigeria with much. |
Buckeyemedia1:Desperate? If he was desperate, he would be throwing dollars around, like your next president is currently doing. |
Buckeyemedia1:I don't blame you. You have no character or integrity. You can't recognise what you don't have. Atiku likes the north so much yet he relocated to dubai for 7 yrs while Peter obi was on various television interviews in the same span of time providing feasible solutions to the many problems of the North. Peter obi has donated millions to northern schools all through the years. He goes to their schools and donates, because that is the heart of the problem is. You people don't realise yet what those delegates have stolen from you. You will in time Sha. |
Peter obi was going to turn the mambilla area in taraba to a massive coffee belt. Do you Know how much we can make from coffee? Textiles, and flowers industry would be dominated by the North earning billions of dollars far exceeding oil. The women in the north would be massively engaged in textile manufacture like their counterparts in Bangladesh, cutting down poverty and restiveness on a massive scale. But that will never happen now. But let us keep laughing. Hopefully tinubu will remember to throw us the crumbs when he comes into his kingdom. |
triple996:You live in kaduna. Peter obi noted that kaduna used to be a home of textiles and industry and that was going to be one of his Paramount policy on kaduna as well as massive education drive to reduce the insecurity in that part of that country. Tinubu or atiku will preside over you now. I hope you keep laughing. |
Pdp has hit the self destruct button. |
Dshocker:Is it today that you know that buhari govt is anti igbo? Why should ipob give him the excuse to perpetuate his bigotry with good reason? Because the reason they gave is defendable, even though we know it is rooted in bigotry. |
NigeriaIsDoomed:Not possible. One will have to give way for the other in the long run. |
A WARRI PROVERB says person wey dey wan roast no dey use petrol as pomade. This is the most anti igbo govt since 1999. And ipob just gave them a plausible excuse. |
Jamesbally:It's Igbo people that you will still go to the market to buy from. I hope you have adjusted for inflation. Ode. Since na only Igbo people bad govt dey affect. |
This Alexrports is a hustler with no scruples. The accountant general of the Buhari govt just embezzled 80billion naira. This is a man that should have retired long ago, but Buhari kept him long beyond his tenure. A president that pardons looters of state resources. |
Shawnnn01:I went through your profile to discover that you are a tinubu supporter. I shouldn't be discussing anti corruption with you. You are just a sycophant with no moral compass. |
olas24u:It depends. Give it to the likes of okorocha or orji kalu or umahi, and you would have another Azikiwe. More loyal to the north than even their own region. You will enjoy your one naijeria in its full backwardness. And they will not rock the boat. Give it to someone like peter obi,and you will get series of critical structural reforms that will make Nigeria a better country in the long run. You will still have one naijeria, but a much better one for the next generation. If anybody should be stopped from getting power, it should be tinubu. Nepotism and state sponsored thuggery would be unprecedented. |
Blankstare:The only thing that can bring about restructuring is a unified southern political voice. Not just empty speeches. When the South is United, there is nothing the north can do. They have very little to bargain with. And to the credit of the North, they have managed to divide and conquer. They will never fight with all the southern Regions all at once. They will always concede the minimal ground to at least one southern region, to ensure they still have a majority stake in Nigeria. Which is why I believe tinubu will win primaries. They will just close their eyes and nose and give him. It's not too much to give up to maintain their long term strategic advantage. The pdp on the other hand would be keenly contested. |
If we consider competence, no northerner in the race is qualified. These bastards are just selfish. In, 2015 the consensus was that it would be zoned to the north. And all of them agreed to it. In 2031 after a Southerner must have finished his term, these bastards would come back and tell us that it should be zoned to the north in the spirit of fairness. |
TrackerXL:Pandora criminal? And the efcc have not invited him, even once? So if I move my legitimate funds to a tax Haven in Panama, you would call me a criminal too? You are not well. You can't pour portor portor on a good man. And the sad thing is that you are doing a disservice to your children. If Peter obi does not win, all the alternatives would steal the future of your children blind. |
Nebulax:The people that you want to elect for president instead of obi, are they as good as him? Do they have the same quality policy formulation as his? Continue. Una never suffer enough. |
Starting from the results of the pdp primaries, I would finally give up on this country for good. |
Ipob has given this crooked slowpoke and other extreme groups in the north an excuse. The excuse that they are looking for to justify their backwardness. SMH. The federal govt needs to descend on ipob with extreme Prejudice. Use the wike doctrine. |
Ibraheemmawa:Your country has just been delisted from the lists of emerging markets. The mal administration is chronic. And it will only get worse. It's like you don't realise home is no longer home. |
Try and leave if you can. Don't wait till tinubu becomes your president. |
Reality3080:Its not the delegates that will vote in the general election. So it would be an exercise in futility and a waste of funds for whoever will run for the pdp that is not peter obi. All the bribes would be in vain in the long run. |
SARSCoV2:Given the alternatives that are contesting with him, that would be your lose and that of those you hold dear that call Nigeria home. There is nothing funny about it. It's like laughing that you cannot get anti-malarial drugs when you have malaria. |
The 7yrs that buhari used to gallivant, and misgovern is what another president used to attract or create 10,000 factories into his country. |
In 7 years, Egypt has built 10,000 new factories The industrial sector's value has grown from $22 billion in 2014 to $60 billion in 2021. Egypt’s GDP has risen from $235 Billion in 2017, and is expected to reach $509 billion by the end of 2022. https://twitter.com/AfricaFactsZone/status/1528466301752168448 You can keep playing politics of bigotry in Nigeria. |
Wasky101:Compared to where anmabra was before he took over, then yes, they have enjoyed a new lease of life. That was the first time they saw real governance. If obi was governor, ipob would have been seriously dealt with. Besides, there is only so much he can do as governor. It is the investments and Jobs attracted by the federal that will go to the states. A poor FG will produce poor stastes. Now Imagine what Obi would do at the federal level where he would have the powers to direct things at the macro scale. That is where the real impact is now needed. Egypt has produced over 10,000 factories in 7 yrs. Those factories were attracted by the center thorugh federal policies. |
It is only during elections that some people will forget that igbo are spread all across the country. After elections, they will suddenly remeber that igbos are more outside than in their region. The only thing that has affected them is voter apathy. If they all come out and vote for obi across the country, it would make a diffference. |
