Cue: Let's 4get all dis nonsense about false patriotism.I watched a documentary ob BEIN sport about d greatest world cup teams ever.In 1974,the German National Team dat had just won d Euros,Refused to play on day one of d World cup till d bonus of 27000 USD was agreed n settled. This stage has been encountered and since Passed by d developed World. Its now properly structured so now a non issue.
U talk as if d money is coming from government.its actually a fraction of the participating fees paid by FIFA to d local FA's depending on how far they go.So if d players are d ones responsible for getting to,and going far in d Games,Y not reward accordingly?
Do U kno dat FIFA threatened to pay d players and deduct it from the payment due d Ghana FA?So who do U think d organised World sees as right?
Players will n seeing U spending govt money with ur girlfriends during d competition and ur just accompanying them, yet U won't give them their due.If they get injured,U abandon them. How far will dat allowance take Onazi after his injury on PATRIOTIC Duty?
SHAME ON AFRICAN LEADERS!!
And YES! The Aforementioned 1974 German team went ahead to win d World Cup for d 1st time ever! Wen things are done right, the right things get done!

This is d final statement from d meeting of the Militants in d niger delta,

“Very importantly, we want all Nigerians and the international community to understand that if a Niger Deltan cannot be accepted to legitimately govern Nigeria despite our contribution to the economic well-being of the country, we shall not allow a non-Niger Deltan to rule over our resources,” the communiqué concluded.

Oh My GOD!!! Seun get these idiots out of here!Gosh, how can young people in nigeria be so daft and stupid and bereft of ideas and logic?Jonathan never needed 25% in the Core north?NEVER.He already was sure of SW=7,SE=5,SS=6,i.e 18,abj 19, benue ,Kogi, plateau, 22.He only needed 25% from 2 more states, any two!!!
how can young people be bandying around low IQ"S like dis, even without 90% of the votes in d SE and SS,he still will be ahead by 2million, cant people see dat there was no Buhari winning scenario?wat is dis?

buhari will trat SE and SS well, how many roads and projects did he do there when he was @ PTF?wat was d spread of the PTF projects?was it not concentrated in the North?with oil money from the SE/SS?please.He was never a nationalist, He can never, and will never be our leader again!!!

babalawo:
Hum this my simple observation:

Even in Otuoke-Jonathan ward the number of registered voters was as about 909 yet those the number of voters was less than 500!!!!

IF in JONATHAN's WARD THE TOTAL VOTES WAS LESS THAN 50% OF REGISTERED VOTERS THEN ITS NO ROCKET SCIENCE TO SMELL RAT WITH OVER 80% VOTER"S TURNOUT IN THE SS AND SE.

Right from 1999 the  SS & SE has been a major HUB for massive rigging by the PDP-but  very soon they shall consume themselves!!!!
my question to,since ur so smart,is,how does dat affect the outcome of the election?have u calculated wat d outcome is even if u remove even 90% of the votes GEJ got from SS and SE?Its d same,he still wins!!!d gap is too much for complaint.and i'm sure u kno dat a GEJ preseidency is viewed as a better bet for any South Easterner,so lets see the suffering u say we will suffer.we await.Yeah right, buhari would hav treated south east better.a place he didnt even bother campaignin in,people he feels superior to,irrelevant, please!!!!

I agree that elections in the south east did not fully comply with electoral act. First the open-secret ballot was not fully followed. Where I voted it was possible for other voters to see the choice you have made. It is also possible for people to see voting pattern. So, if someone sees almost everyone voting for a particular party, they may follow the crowd. Then I also have it on good authority that GEJ biscuit was shared in some polling units which sounds like campaigning on Election Day. Then rigging took place after the voting with empty ballot papers being thumbprinted, these accounts for the high voter turnout in the region.

Do not get me wrong, GEJ may still have won SE and SS without rigging, but that does not justify the rigging. Here is an analogy:

Assuming someone suffering from a terminal illness is killed by someone, will the killer then argue in court that since the person will still have died anytime soon that he should not be charged for his murder. That means that our thieving politicians can argue that if they did not steal the money they are stealing now someone else would have done so. My point is that just because a crime would not have made a difference does not justify it.

The question is, while they were rigging the election, did they know they would win? They would have known they would win in SE or SS, but they may not have been sure of the rest of Nigeria. So, the aim of the rigging would have been to give GEJ as many votes as possible in the region to neutralise the effects of losses he may suffer in other parts of Nigeria.

If the man feels cheated he should question the results at least it is better than violence. For the records the elections were a lot better than 2007, but it is by no means a standard for other countries in Africa. But of course, it is easy for a people who have been in hell for too long to mistake purgatory as haven.
u try,but your analogy is very wrong. It fails to show that there was a contest, whose objective is to win, instead of a one actor, one sided activity, My analogy of a 9-0 score in a fotball match of 11 men against 11,where d loser is complaining of bad officiating is nearer.if u dey good,y u not fit score some?d gap dey too much.sotaay even if all d votes were reduced for goodluck by 40%,he'd still win, any angle wey u view am,
the man is just crazy.even alleging that INEC computers were programmed to rig against him.Just grabbin straws/am so happy he didnt win, after seein his response.b4 i wouldnt really hav minded cos he'd av gotten rid of some bad eggs for us.but his personality, NO!

efisher:
Let's look at the implication of his foolish claim. He accepted the results in 14 states. Funny enough, GEJ had his 25% minimum from some states out of those included in his 'accepted' list. Add that to the remaining states in the south and that gives GEJ more than 24 states with minimum 25%. Secondly, if you consider the 22 states he rejected and do a statistical analysis, you will discover that GEJ would have still won with a minimum of 5 million votes margin if he got just 10% in the included NE/NW states, 30% in the NC states and 60% turnout in the SE/SS states. The result from SW states are completely indisputable. This does not even consider the millions of underage votes Buhari got in the north. This only goes to show that he is a stark illiterate with a "herd mentality". He doesn't even have a good statistician to make these simple calculations for him. What a shameless loser!
pls efisher, isnt it obvious ur wastin time logically analysing anything?look @ d comment after urs, if these are the kind of young people we have in Nigeria. We are doomed. If buhari had anyone wth an average IQ,they would have told him its absolutely statistically IMPOSSIBLE for him to assail goodlucks lead, even if only 40% of SE?SS votes were accepted, but some Olodo here cannot comprehend this,

I used to think nairalanders were young logically-thinking progessive Nigerians. Most of wat i see here is ethnic filth, Dis is not politics.dis is simple math.u will say av come again, GEJ Polled 22,495,187 votes against Buhari's 12,214,853.The gap is therefore 10,280,334.Some people wey no pass math for school dey complain about votes from south east/south.GEJ's total votes from SE=4,985,246.SS(xcept ACN's Edo)=5,576,435.total GEJ for SE+SS=10,561,681.So assumin NOBODY from SE+SS voted GEJ,assumin GEJ got NO VOTES AT ALL from south east and south south,Buhari will lead him by only 281,347 votes! There is a kind of GAP dat u witness and u keep quiet,so as not to disgrace urself. Its just like someone beating u 9-0 in a football match of 11 against 11 and u give bad officiating as an excuse, y couldnt u even score a couple of goals?
