Nna mehn, if you search for bitterleaf and letrozole on this thread, you'll find many bfps. Check blossomedcherry's posts. They say the bitterleaf helps with egg growth.

I am here for advise on the most appropriate step to take with regards TTC. here's the thing, my wife has been battling with this infection, candidiasis for as long as i have known her, and we've treated it more times than we can count, and we've noticed that it comes at exactly her ovulation window that we usually make concerted efforts. is the frequency of this infection normal, could it be a hindrance to conception, how can we stop this recurring infection?

About Candida Sir, many Gynaes say it is a normal part of the flora of the vagina.

However, when a woman's vaginal flora or body immunity is compromised, they multiply beyond the normal rate and become this problem called candidiasis.

Some causes of candidiasis include:

Some other infection
High level of sugar in the body
Low immunity

Home remedies include (in addition to what other mamas have rightly said)

Garlic insertion
Drinking a blend of garlic and ginger

For treatment of high blood sugar (and even diabetes) , drinking a blend of utazi and scent leaves is a natural metformin. Very effective!

Please do your best not to be anxious.

Watch out for other signs of ovulation such as changes in your cervical mucus. You'll learn more about it on Google. You may insert a clean finger in your vagina to find out if the cm doesn't come out.

But the one that works personally for me is nausea. I read that some women experience nausea around ovulation time.

So every month, when I feel a wave of nausea or dizziness, I test at night and yours truly get a positive on the OPK. So many times I ended up using only one stick in a month.

It's important you focus on having sex during your FERTILE WINDOW rather than trying to pinpoint ovulation. You may miss it that way as you've been doing.

Or if you have the energy, you try the SMEP.

If it's a trusted Gyn that said that it is not a hindrance to conception and a successful pregnancy, then focus on treating other issues to help you get pregnant.

But if the fibroid is an obstacle, have faith in God and remove it. You may end up wasting a lot of money trying to shrink it. Some women have claimed to have successfully shrunk theirs but it's not easy to find the real herbs that work.

I can't really say. Looks like other mamas have answered. If you search fsh on this thread, you'll find posts by mamas who have conquered high fsh.

In my opinion, vitex can tackle high fsh because it balances all the reproductive hormones.

dbeauty sorry about the pain you're experiencing. When did you have the surgery? I still had pains after my surgery. I was worried. But I didn't even know when it stopped, that was after some months.

If you intend to go for IVF, I'd suggest you g owith your doctor's advice to increase your chances of success.

I think the Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs has mother culture) is mixed with blackstrap molasses to help shrink fibroids. Some mamas have testified also of success with a mixture of ground ginger and alligator pepper.

You're welcome. Try and read as many old posts as you can.

While you're working with your doctor, you and your husband may try a few tips learned here:

eat healthy, detox, cut out sugar and replace with honey, take fruit smoothies everyday, take prenatals like wellman/wellwoman conception which contains folic acid, try doggy style and baking soda finger, etc. With prayer and by God's grace, it'll happen for you.

He treated the staph alone as staph has never been seen in my swab result, i treated only candida.
1. I think sex shld be done protected while on any antibiotic treatment. That rocephine inject kills sperm so ull have lots of dead sperm if u go for analysis immediately after the treatment. The drugs for boosting should be taken after treatment.

2. Maca that he used was a supplement on its own. There is a brand - now maca and others. The maca he used was a remnant of the maca i bought long time ago, not that he just bought it.

For boosting he used fertileaid for men, manix (taken with liquid milk for better absorption). Cant remember any other but i posted all then cos i use this thread as my diary.

@ mama that complained of failed treatment for staph, recall I told you my hubby treated heavy growth of staph.
Find the treatment that cleared it. It is expensive but worth it. The staph was cleared in one month.

He used rocephin injection (once daily for7days) , pefloxacin and ciprofloxacine tablets( 1*2 daily). Rocephin is very expensive but worth it. He used the Switzerland make.
He had serious stomach cramps at night during the treatment, so I feel you shld just use rocephin and any other sensitive drug from your SFA.

His count also doubled in one month. He used fertileaid,maca, manix (2 cards) . He also ate cucumber daily.
Please speak with your doctor b4 u start taking the drugs for staph. Also eat well cos it may cause stomach pain at night.

I just want to encourage everyone waiting to make use of this waiting time well. Soon, you won't have time to sleep ooo just like me. I used to think 24 hours is to much for a day, no 24 hours is so small for a day. Rest well now, buy your baby stuffs now, do all do-ables now.


No matter the challenges, surely as God lives, they all will come to pass. No one will remain in the same position forever. People who used to be here 2012, 2013 , 2014 know me with high prolactin and low sperm count issues, now it's a thing of the past. God has blssed us with children. We have even stopped thinking of giving birth because we are happy and okay with the ones He has Blessed us with.

You may want to ask? How did we treate the low count, yes we tried all we could, I used so many drugs, eat veggies and fruits, Hubby also used this and that to boost his count, he even scheduled having one surgery to remove what was blocking sperm (have forgotten all those nonsense names of all diagnosis). Out of fear he refused and wanted icsi instead.

While we were planning icsi and travelling for it God did the did it. Now, it's all in the past, I can't even remember all those pains anymore. One sincere prayer I used to pray then was, Lord please remember you don't work with multitudes, you need very little to work with, Lord use my husband's little sperm to do wonders. All the drugs he used never changed anything, but God heard us.

Someone here will soon forget her ugly experiences and stories. Someone will soon praise and sing aloud of God's faithfulness.

This is a confirmation of God's word to me concerning our struggle with low sperm count. The prayer you mentioned is the exact prayer I've been praying lately since God showed me that many times He works with little not with large numbers to demonstrate His Mighty Power.

My sister, make I talk true, I no sabi interpret hormone profile. But looks like something that can easily be sorted out. They say LH and FSH should be about the same value. Your prolactin is on the high side of normal. I'm guessing no harm in reducing it a little.

Medication I used before my hormones balanced out-
Bromocriptine (not for long because of the side effects)

Afterwards I switched to Fertilaid

Then Omega 369 to help keep the hormones balanced.

Please always follow your doctor's advice.

No it does not really apply to nutritional supplements. It depends on what the herbal is used for. For instance, some doctors will say don't take vit. C while taking malaria drugs cos it will stop the malaria meds from working. So in some cases, you treat illness first, and take nutritional supplements to rejuvenate afterwards.

Please always seek your doctor's advice. His knowledge is superior to the layman's.

Go for the switzerland make. I think it was sold btw 2500 to 2800 per injection. My hubby has used it to treat ppl of staph oooo. One guy complained he treated staph more than 6 times, the doc then advised him to forget the staph and concentrate in boosting his count and that staph cant stop him. Hubby told him he can treat his staph. Gave him the prescription he used.
The guy came back later to testify, only that i didnt see his life chicken, goats and yam for the thanksgiving. Staph was completely wiped.
The rocephin was taken with pefloxacin etc. Please do a little search on this thread cos i have posted it before.

The consultant told hubby that the rocephin is very powerful and kills many things , even poison.

I'm now doubting those doctors about their advice to ignore staph. Sometimes I wonder if it's because they find it difficult to treat.

Nnejima and LuckyG1 you're both correct. Millions of women go ahead and get pregnant with Candida. For some women Candida may be a problem. And they get pregnant after treatment. Perhaps there are other factors involved in this game of chance. So it's good to treat it, just in case.

Today, my eyes saw the back of my head! I went for hsg in the morning around 7.45am and thought I could resume at work immediately after. Till now, I'm still having cramps and fever don join body
The staff at Pix center were very professional and if anyone in PH is thinking of where to get this done, you may consider them.
All the tests I did; HSG, tvs, abdominal scan, hvs, ecs were all successful and I'm grateful for this.
When I was diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries and small fibroids in 2015, I interchanged between inositol, metformin, vitex, serrapeptase, fertilaid and fertilecm and I was discouraged to go for another scan since April 2016 when I lost another pregnancy, till today.

However, the doctor says I had a blockage in my cervix which he thankfully opened and he was surprised I even used to have periods which were not even painful at all.

Recently, I have religiously been taking folic acid, vit e 1000, vit c 1000, coq10 60mg and Bcomplex daily and by the grace of God, I will conceive soon and carry to term.

Please be encouraged because God is working his purpose out in our lives.

CD 15, lining is 7.2mm... is it possible it might still rupture on it's own?

I truly can't remember what the ideal lining should be. But if lining is the issue, drinking milk works for thickening the uterine lining. Pineapple core is for after you're sure that you have ovulated.

Abeg mamatwiny, please help me with the price of Rocephine injection last time you know of. Sorry for the bother, I haven't been to the pharmacy lately. I need to have an idea first.

This is my first post since I registered in 2015.

I never thought I could be facing this challenges. I got married to my wife last year. Trying to conceive for us has been challenging since then.

So month, I went to the lab for sperm analysis test and the result came out that I have low count and motility. I repeated the test and same result came out.

I plan going to the General hospital to meet with a fertility doctor.

I will really need advice from the wonderful people of this thread.

I sometimes feel sad for my wife for being the cause of the delay.

I pray God see every one of us through these challenges.

Welcome Sir. I'm glad to see you're very much involved in finding a solution to this. We are also facing the same challenge and still hoping for a miracle.

You're right on track in seeking the help of a fertility doctor. Ensure you both carry out all the tests he may require in order to make a proper diagnosis.

In case he doesn't bring it up, suggest to him about you going for a scrotal scan and hormone profile (in addition to the other tests) to get a clearer picture of the situation of things.

Most of all pray to God.May God grant you and all of us speedy success!

I agree with Eka. Mamas take it easy with the good doctor. There are certain people one shouldn't vex for anyhow. I got to really know of the other gynae thread only yesterday.

It seems to me he has dedicated much of his time to helping many women, answering numerous questions, proffering solutions for free. That must have inconvenienced him somewhat. It's not so bad if he inconveniences us a little by his adverts. Medicine is not just a way of helping people alone, it is also their means of livelihood. So please bear with him Sisters.
