have being a silent member(reader) on this group for the past 4years,I just registered on nairaland last week cause I saw cuppymoms advert that she want to sell fertisan m for 50k,so I was planning on contacting her for it before God surprised me, my fertility challenge is secondary infertility,after I lost my child I have being trying to get pregnant for almost 2years,only for us to discover that we have male factor- low sperm-3% count,low motility low-3% morphology-4%,that was the result of the fluid test as at April, I went to the bridge clinic was told its impossible to get pregnant with that result except with ivf,when I ask for there price almost 2m almost had a heart attack,was very discouraged,I did my own researched and discovered maca root success stories so I told my husband about it,exactly June 1st 2018 my husband started taking maca root 750mg twice a day,vitamin e 1000iu and Fertil support(50days),and he eats walnut like once a week then I took vitamin e day 1- 10,in July and august, the only thing odd I noticed on my day 8 in my august cycle was serious cramps and stomach ache ,TTC is not easy,I even stop going to church around April cause of shame cause it was affecting me mentally, I was planning to go to lasuth Jan next year to inquire about there ivf cos I heard is cheaper,only for GOd to surprise me,we haven't done another fluid test to know what numbers got us pregnant, I did pt yesterday day 32,people experiencing male factor pls don't give up...

Amen to all ur prayers. Every mama here shall be celebrated soonest in Jesus name, Amen. Here's WIDD. It's a long read please pardon me. Some time last year I was diagnosed with hormonal imbalance (pcos, enlarged ovaries n finally unexplained infertility) after series of tests i.e d hormonal profile n hsg. Everything was fine except that I wasn't ovulating so I was placed on clomid from day 3 to 7, d clomid really messed me up as I reacted badly to it so I stopped it on my own n kept hoping n praying even though d Doc insisted I continued but I refused, at a time he suggested surgery n I was wondering what he wanted 2 remove... I just come in here sometimes to read n learn from people's experiences n also follow d teachings I can relate with. Fast forward to December last year, I got a job in another state so I had 2 relocate n leave DH at his station. I met with a new doc here n he also suggested clomid so I used for two cycles in April n May, this year. I actually had viable eggs, d clomid made me ovulate cos I did follicular tracking, but then something always happened n DH n I won't get to meet at d right time. So dat was it for me n clomid, I stopped taking any meds n told d doc I was done trying. I only took pregnacare conception, omega 369, evening primrose oil, as I learnt in dis group, also I always take green tea n lemon or warm water with lemon or cinnamon, depending on my mood first thing in the morning n I ate alot of fruits in d past 2 months especially bananas, watermelon n vegetables. 1st Sunday in July 2018, I attended a redeemed church in my area for d 1st time n when it was time for d pastor to preach, he asked all those looking unto God for healing, fruit of d womb or any thing to come out, I went out with a host of others n we were all prayed for individually by d pastor n his wife, it was a really powerful service, that prayer session was d sermon n d service ended. I immediately felt relaxed n stopped ttcing, instead I kept praying n thanking God even though I continued with my prenatal regimen, also took d banana, egg, baking soda recipe a day after my period. I changed from pregnacare conception to well woman plus early this month after a mama here posted about it. I started having cramps n heart burn about a week ago so I thought it's d usual pms symptoms cos my last cycle changed from d normal 29/31 days to 24days, so from day 25, I kept looking out 4 d period dis cycle, it never came, instead d cramping increased n my bbt remained high (I ve been tracking my bbt since last year till date) so I decided to test yesterday which was day 34 n Lo n behold I saw d 2 red lines, I was so happy n confused at d same time, had to get a lab man's number yesterday evening so I could run d blood test n it also came out positive. Basically I know its just God cos I can't explain how it happened. The Good Lord who surprised me will do same for everyone here miraculously in Jesus name. Do not lose faith or give up on God, everyone here is a work in progress n God's not done with you yet until you carry ur LO. Amen

I went for my tvs scan today to track my follicles and here’s the result. The most dominant follicle is 21mm by 18mm. I don’t know when it will rupture. Someone said it’s still too small because her own got upto 30mm before it ruptured. And I can’t be going to scan everyday to check if it has ruptured because of work.

Has any mama here tracked her follicles before? And what size did they rupture? Do you think mine is still small?

It's not too small. You could ask your doctor for a trigger to help things along.

Good day to you all GTC mum and dads, after a lot of persuasion DH had to go for series of test and scan and we realized the sperm cells dies within few minutes .After thorough investigations (Scrotal scan) we were told its a mild left Varicocele and needs a minor surgery to be corrected but since hubby heard of surgery he,s been scared of going to see Urologist. Please anybody been in this situation or heard of it b4, can medications correct it. Abeg help a sister been TTC for 3yrs , I am loosing my mind

Please encourage your husband to go for the surgery. It can go a long way and is a simple procedure.

Good day mummies. Trust we’re all doing great.

I’ve been in and out of this thread, but I’m back fully because I need all the support, advice and encouragement I can get from like minds.

I haven’t had my period for more than 2 months now, no I’m not pregnant. And it’s even more difficult ttcing with an almost absent menstrual cycle. It’s tiring.

I’m currently taking fertilaid, ovaboost, myo-inositol and DHEA. I used Evening Primrose oil but it was giving me contractions and false pregnancy symptoms so I stopped. I also got Letrozole but apparently can’t use it till I see AF. What more can I try?

Also I noticed there’s been an increase in multiple conceptions and births, not even with IVF. I’d be glad if mummies can suggest what I can do to increase my chance of having twins. I really need double for all my troubles

Best advice: see a Gynaecologist. With God and their treatment, your chances of conceiving twins might be increased.

Home remedies: Try a mixture of honey and ACV in hot water. Drink this every morning. Avoid cold water and drink warm water as much as you can.

Or zobo, honey and pineapples. No sugar.

Yes you can take ACV all through your cycle.

I know Vitex also helps with milky boobs/high prolactin. I suggest you give it a try and see if it works for you. Check Google/Babycentre to find out the dosage that was taken by the women it worked for.

Note that sometimes Vitex destabilises your period at first only to reset your system; your period stabilises, your hormones start functioning properly afterwards. It happened to me on my 2nd Vitex journey.

That's why it is suggested that you take Vitex and other fertility supplements for about 3 months because a new batch of eggs take about 3 months to develop.

Many times you'll hear someone say, "I took so and so fertility med for some months and nothing happened. I stopped the drugs and boom! I'm pregnant."

They think it had absolutely nothing to do with the action (supplements) they took, little do they know that the effect of some medicines manifest after you have stopped them.

That's why it is advised that you give your body a break after taking supplements for a while so they can have the chance to work.

Hi mama's it's been a long time hope we are all good? This month shall be for us a month of celebration in Jesus name Amen. Mama's please help me out, I was diagnosed of hyperprolactinemia and anovulation. dostinex was prescribed and after taking it for one month, I added omega 369and for the very first time I saw ewcm with no pains although it lasted for just two days and was very scanty. Am still on the omegas but this circle I didn't notice anything, but I had pains at oneside of my lower abdomen is it normal? Secondly can I add evergreen formula for conception to the omegas. You can take evergreen for women for a stronger ovulation as well as cucumbers to help make the the ewcm plenty and visible.

My AF lasts for just 2days! Since after ectopic surgery.
Based on my research, learnt its not good cos the uterine wall won't be rich enough to sustain conception.

I have. It helps balance my hormones and makes my period regular. However, Fertilaid isn't for everyone. Some women have complained of irregular periods after taking Fertilaid.

To build your uterine lining, try taking milk, leafy greens, blood tonic. I think raspberry tea was mentioned on this thread.

Also ask Google and Mumihaja. She knows a lot about natural herbs.

Occasionally, my periods start coming late,especially when I've been eating too much carbs.

Besides Fertilaid, the only supplement that helps balance my hormones and makes my period regular again is Pregnacare Conception.

Yet some women have complained that it had the opposite effect on them. Most of the time they were women with regular cycles. It disrupted their regular cycle.

Sometimes when you try a supplement and it doesn't work for you, you can sell it or give it away. Don't trash it in the waste bin you hear? It could benefit someone else.

Surulady, I'm sorry about the report. Please don't let it shake you too much. God is alive and will bless you again. Work with your doctor for proper analysis and treatment where necessary.

Your report looks very ok to me. Consult with a gynaecologist , take your result for interpretation.

Yes you can have children. With God it is possible. And medical scienc also says because of your age, your chances of conceiving twins is higher. You'll find it on Google.

I just got my hubby's semen analysis result now and I'm really worried with the fact that the previous active motility was 40% and now 10% even thou the count increased from 27mil to 37.5mil and increase in morphology from 60 to 99% but this inactivity is what i don't understand pls help

Some people have testified that Garlic and Vitamin C {1000mg) are very good for motility. I would suggest that your husband should start taking them after he has taken antibiotics prescribed by a doctor as shown in the sensitivity.

The doctor will know what to prescribe for the motility.

Meanwhile please what did your husband take that helped increase the count and morphology?

Mama, please throw that drug in the bin abeg you. That drug will give fake crazy pregnancy symptoms like tender boobs fatigue most epcially FAT. Please throw it away now now now. It is a very usless drug that increased my boobs and give fat that am till trying to loose it. Abeg that drug ia useless if you Google well there's a web page where many women who had the same symptoms were complaining. Ita a load of crap i tell you. If i had seen it earlier i ont have taken it.

Now am advising other mamas to take note.

I understand that it didn't work for you, but you shouldn't condemn the supplement entirely because what worked for someone may not work for another and vice versa.

For instance, Fertilsan M didn't work for us. It doesn't now mean it's bad and I'll start condemning it because countless people have got pregnant while on it.

Meanwhile, God just granted a friend conception while on Pregnacare Conception. And countless others.

24. *LOW SPERM COUNT*: Get large quantity of guava leaves, pound, add water and filter. Drink one glass cup thrice per day for 1 week. As you are taking that, eat carrot and cucumber daily for 2 weeks.

25. *QUICK EJACULATION*: Get 3 bulbs of Okro, slice them get the dry seed of it, ferment everything with soda water for 2 days. Take half cup daily for one week.

26. *WEAK ERECTION*: Get 6 bulbs of white onions, grind and extract the juice. Mix the juice with honey. Take 2 spoons thrice

It's better to buy the fresh bitter leaves and squeeze it yourself. Don't buy the already squeezed one. The juice you get from the first round of squeezing is more beneficial.

I think you can wash the leaves with salt to get rid of any germs.

You can also blend and sieve with a cloth.

fruitfulnathia I understand how you feel because we both seem to be experiencing similar circumstances.

I've been fixated on this staph issue, spent much trying to treat the staph found in my husband's specimen, all to no avail.

Even those who said they've treated it successfully later came back to say the the staph came back.

A few doctors have begged me to forget staph and focus on getting the right diagnosis and treatment, I refused to listen because I couldn't think of any other culprit.

Not until some formerly ttc mums and dads who had similar reports that we had finally convinced me that staph is not a barrier to conception. I believe them because they have their bundles of joy as evidence.

Here's what a dear friend advised from her personal experience:

1. Ignore the staph report.

2. Husband should take 4-8 bitter kola daily.

3. Take Wellman Conception for men and women

4. Take lots of fruits and veggies, water, detox with natural home remedies like garlic, ginger, lemon, cucumbers combination or the tumeric, garlic, ginger, cloves combo, bitter leaf and scent leaves, etc.

Another Papa advised me to:

1. Visit a fertility doctor whom he recommended who asked him to carry out some tests including a hormone profile. Testosterone was low, but the doctor asked him to ignore the low testosterone and staph report.

The doctor prescribed addyzoa and vitamin E. Today he's the father of wonderful children and still has staph in his specimen report.

They strongly advised me not to take any more antibiotics for it.

The doctors say the reason it keeps "coming back" is because it's a natural part of the body flora.


My thoughts are: staph is like Candida and can live around us without causing problems. Except the immunity is low.

Or you can try the Rocephine injection + other sensitive drugs as highly recommended by mamatwiny.

Again the Swissgarde company has herbal medicine for staph. They come highly recommended as many people have testified that they got cured.

It's somewhat pricey though, but may be worth it. The only reason we're not trying that yet is because of the cost. So we are going for the cheap natural remedies.

Forget the Robitussin. Olubankemi's suggestion is better. Use cucumbers. They're natural, work very well, readily available and you'll save some cash. Success in your quest!
