I am a young girl in my early twenties, I ran a hormonal assay some months because I was lactating which shows a very high prolactin and I was placed on bromocriptine for 3months although it suppressed but it's not normal yet. I noticed if I stop taking the bromocriptine the discharge comes back, I do af every month but number of CD varies but within the 21-35 days, think I see signs of O but can't predict date. I got married last month. I am tired of the bromocriptine and it's effect. I read here about ewedu and Vit b6, does that really work cos I don't mind trying it. please mummies help me with natural treatment .

Yes ewedu and vitamin B6 has worked for many women here. And also cabbage taken raw. Bromocriptin does not always work for everyone, I guess because many people cannot tolerate the side effects. A great alternative is D.o.s.t.i.n.e.x. Fewer side effects, works faster and more expensive. Search the name on nairaland without the dots.

Always check with your doctor before trying any meds.

Hi mamas, hope we are all good. This is our season to rejoice becos God is going to put smiles on our faces. Please mamas I am considering going for a HSG test, I already did hormonal assay on cd3 and will do progesterone on cd21. My Dr is of the opinion dt I shouldn't go for the Hsg since its invasive and no reason has been identified for me to undergo it. Should I still insist on the test or not. Please help me shook mouth for the matter o. Thanks.

Me I'm a fan of hsg o. Many strokes for different doctors as some doctors believe so much in it because it clears the tubes in case of any debris in the fallopian tubes.

The gyns I've used like to do all those tests together because some people get pregnant after HSG even before they are administered ovulation meds. For those ones it's all the treatment they need.

Sore breasts before AF is usually as a result of low progesterone. Taking Vitamin B6 50mg after ovulation till before period helps with the issue and usually stops the breast pain. I learned it here and that's what I did for mine.

But do check with your doctor before taking any supplement.

I want to commend everyone for all the insightful information you drop here.

This year i have decided to take the TTC journey seriously and i believe i as well as the other ladies in this forum will overcome this challenge this year in Jesus name.

DH has low sperm count, sperm mortality and mobility is equally low i on the other hand scan says my eggs do not grow to maturity i am really confused. DH has been on medication for 2 months now but no improvement.

Please kindly advice the best hospital to go to in Port Harcourt, i and DH want to try IUI and eventually IVF if we have to. My options include Gyneascope and save a life.

Your opinions will be appreciated.

Both hospitals have great reviews from successful patients. May God grant you success too.

I believe by now you have both treated infections. Also have you tried Fertilsan M for male sperm issues? It has worked for many in increasing male fertility.

Also lifestyle/dietary changes. Tigernut/dates/coconut combo; guava leaves/honey/onions recipe, milk and pap, proteinous diet etc.

Hello Noblekids. Fertilsan M is a fertility supplement for men. It depends on what other drugs you intend to combine it with. You will have to ask your doctor before y can combine it with anything else, especially if it is another supplement so that you do not overdose on some of the vitamins and minerals.

To make aki hausa/tiger nuts drink:
Select and wash tiger nuts; soak for a few hours or overnight.
Wash and soak dates for about an hour to soften; remove the seed
Cut coconut in smaller pieces
Blend all the ingredients together, sieve and refrigerate.

It's nice that you're proactive about your reproductive health. However, like mztubsy has said, try not to be anxious because anxiety has negative effects on your hormones.

What you can do is:

take care of your general health, ensure you and your partner are free of infection.

eat healthy- reduce carbs and replace with protein, eat more fruits and veggies especially in form of smoothies.

Take folic acid, you and your hubby

Download an ovulation app to help you predict your fertile window and ovulation. Follow the instructions and log in your history and data regularly.

Remember, don't stress, pray more, meditate on God's word, sing, smile and be happy and continue to be kind to everyone especially children.

I have been trying to get pregnant for about two years. I always feel extreme pain in my breast. It hurts so bad that I can't stand it being touched. The pain starts around mid circle till i get my period.

Sorry about the pain my dear. I suffered breast pain too- it seemed mine was a symptom of low progesterone confirmed from my hormone profile. So you need to see a Gyn who is also a fertility specialist and run all the necessary tests.

I took 50mg of B6 after ovulation as well as Omega 369 and it worked for me. I decided to try it after reading Fvine's posts about it.

About your husband's sfa, is there any infection? If there is, please treat it with doctor-prescribed medication.

Then try placing him on a fertility supplement like Fertilsan M, a supplement for improving sperm health. It has one of the highest reviews at the moment. Other supplements are Wellman Conception, high dose vit. C, vit. E, etc.

Other home remedies include:

Dietary changes. Stop artificial sugar completely and replace with honey. You may blend honey and onions together to increase his sex drive;
a blend of tiger nuts, coconut and dates; fruits, vegetables,green smoothies; milk; pap; proteinous diet like eggs, beans.

I'm not a new member neither am I a silent reader, I wasn't fully TTCing but when I had mc early July, I started ttcing fully. Just deactivated my account for a reason. Some will know my old moniker after reading my widd.

WIDD

Cd1: I did nothing
Cd2: I took blended pineapple/cucumber/lemon /garlic and ginger till cd3 for detoxing
Cd4:drank bitterleaf juice with ginger juice
Cd5:Nothing. Just took my Ovacare with Vit E
Cd6-cd9: drank baking soda dissolved in water(googled it). I don't have mind to do take the banana, baking soda, raw egg and milk combo. Raw egg yammarized it in my mind
Cd10: Applied baking soda in my hoohaa(yeast infection if you come, get ready I'll fight you), bd with dh
Cd11: Ovulation day, plenty ewcm, bd doggy with dh till my waist shift. I didn't even stand up from the bed from 12-3pm. Dh was giving me everything I requested, I can't come and waste this precious sperm.
Cd12: Bd with Dh
Cd13: Prayed and asked God for a miracle.
Cd25:AF day, nothing at all. Plenty cm( sorry TMI)
Cd26: same, plenty cm. My dd will raise my clothes, touch my tummy and say boo boo. I'll give her one kyn eye.
Cd27: nothing, plenty cm. Don't have mind to test, not after the last one delayed even took Zobo drink
Cd 29: Tested at night and I saw 2 red lines staring at me. I sent it to two mamas from NL. May God bless you guys abundantly.
Cd30: BPT, +ve. Sensitive and painful tips, whitish cm and not smelly till now(sorry TMI)

I took only ovacare and Vit E not religiously, lots of water, did 9days novena to Mother of Perpetual Help, visited BVN Grotto, joined MummyJJ midnight praise but did it on my own, liked all Nonnie R post and prayers on Sisters Forum on fbk.

I've really learnt a lot on this thread, may God bless all of you permanently.
