SkillHunt: Hi Guys,
Looking forward to connecting with CIPS Students at Level 5. I hope we can share ideas and resources.
I know most students desparately need networking, in order to better prepare for exams, learn from others experience and identify opportunities.
For example, not many can afford to pay for training or/and buy CIPS Study Packs or reference Textbooks.
Come on board, lets share knowledge and resources.
Thanks
Hello Skillhunt.......I really appreciate this wonderful thread.....Kindly contact me via: currentbrands@gmail.com; there are some questions i would like to get clarifications. Many thanks! |
Family / Re: My Wife's Sister Sneaked Out Of NYSC Camp & Came Into Our House, This Happened by currentbrands(m): 10:13pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
Plankton2017: Good day fellow NL,
Please judge this case. Last week thursday my sister inlaw visited me and my wife from NYSC camp. I was shocked when I welcomed her because it was no ordinary visit. she came with a full ghana must go. We greeted and I got to know that she escaped from camp due to the tough tasks on camp. My wife never told me her sister was coming to stay. We have lived amicably till yesterday. My lil cuzin that stays and helps us with chores was mandated by her to cook 2 big pots of water for her to bath. I scolded my cousin and told her why didnt she use the electric kettle so as to save gas which we just replaced with 6k. I now gave her a warning that whatever my inlaw wants that she should ask me 1st. I even got to know that my wife lied to me that her parents knew she left camp. My wife heard our conversation and started antagonizing me that why did I tell my cuz to always ask me b4 she obeys her sister. she was shouting at the top of her voice even my inlaw could hear. This angered me and I shouted back and told her to leave my room. she continued shouting and even slept in the sitting room as I slept alone.
This afternoon while working on my computer for hours I came out of the room only to find out my sister in law has packed her things back to her NYSC camp without telling me but my wife knows....I am slatted to officially do my white wedding next saturday. I just feel down because we quarell too much and my wife talks in a domineering way. I have warned her about it and I do not want to turn a woman beater. Any quarell we have she tells her parents and siblings which make them never free with me and act cold towards me. Damn it! pls advice me These are not pleasant signs from a woman whose meant to be submissive and keep a home.....Think again! |

Religion / Re: I Need Help For A Spiritual Problem Of Over Three Years. by currentbrands(m): 9:16pm On Jun 18, 2017 |
Samcoco: Dear nairaladers, I'm really tired of this life! Things were going fine for me in early 2014;
It all started in July 2014 when I traveled abroad. Some days after I traveled, I started having bad dreams. Whenever I'm expecting money or contract, when i go to bed, I will just have a dream where I gave money to someone, sometimes I will be attacked by arm robbers and they will collected some money from me, sometimes someone will shake my hand in my dream; and if I wake up the next day, all my business and everything I have at hand will just destroy. I have prayed several times, no result. I have also fasted for many times without any result.
And it was because of this problems I came back to Nigeria empty handed in 2015 December to look for spiritual solutions, but till now I have not gotten any solution. I have gone too many churches (white garment churches, protestant churches this including Mercyland in Warri and I was even touched by prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin still I came back with this same problem after paying for the prayer line and buying many spiritual items!
Many pastors and prophets have told me it was a woman who have a very big issue with my mother in my village in 2014 April, including a girl that wanted me to marry her that are behind it.
I am really tired. I don't know what to do again. Nothing is working in my life again. Now, I am thinking of a native doctor for spiritual solution.
Who can help me with the contact of a good native doctor that can destroy this bad work they did over my head?
I need help
Run to SCOAN for a once-and-for-all deliverance immediately. #KindAdvice |

Gistpeeps: President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, has said that his country is the “most highly developed country in Africa” after South Africa, even ahead of Nigeria and Egypt.
Mugabe stated this at the World Economic Forum on Africa in Durban, South Africa.
“After South Africa, I want to see what country has the level of development that you see in Zimbabwe.”
“We have over 14 universities and our literacy rate is over 90 [%] – is the highest in Africa.
“Yes, we have our problems… but we have resources, perhaps more than the average country in the world, is it gold, diamond, coal… and our agriculture is very viable and this year we will have a bumper harvest,” he said.
Zimbabwe is ranked 24th on the UNDP’s Human Development Index for Africa, and 154th in the world. Nigeria is in 152nd place.

Travel / Re: Boarding A Taxi In Lagos? Read This by currentbrands(m): 12:30pm On May 03, 2017 |
AutoReportNG: Boarding taxis in Lagos may come with mixed feelings. There are 2 different types of taxis in the Lagos metropolis, the government controlled through the NURTW which are mostly in yellow and black stripes and the private owned types, these are mostly in good conditions and their approach to customers are quite impressive unlike the yellow cab where 85% of the drivers are mostly old men who are in their 50s or 60s. Boarding a taxi may require some extra tips for newbies or those who have been used to the system, as the adage says, Life is a teacher, the more we live, the more we learn. The following tips may help you in making a right decision.
1. Negotiate your price before you board the taxi Nothing gets these guys more mad than when you refuse to give the their correct fare, a lady was humilated somewhere around Apapa last month just because of 500 naira, the driver agreed on 3000 while the lady said she can only pay 2500, it got messier when its time to pay and she paid 2500. Please before you begin your journey, make sure you both reach a concesus.
2. Don't board a taxi from the road side Boarding taxies from the road side can be dangerou most times as someone may fall into hands of kidnappers or robbers, it is advisable you board mostly in the park, investigation however shows that boarding at parks maybe expensive compared to the ones you pick at the roadside, but in a situation where safety and lives are involved, its better you pay the utitimate price to stay alive. Most of these union members know their selves and they can esaily be traced unlike those on the road that you neither know their park or their routes.
3. Avoid travelling with huge cash It was reported in the news last month of how a foreigner was robbed by an Uber driver just because he saw the huge sum of money the lady was holding. These drivers were human too, they may be tempted to play the fast track on you even through they are real and geniue drivers, don't tempt them by been too flashy or too bulky, its advisable you travel light, if you have to move around with cash, do all your dealings online or if you must, go with your personal car.
4. Arm yourself with a weapon or a self-defence When I say weapon, its not neccessarily a gun, knife or any dangerous item. Self defence is preparing yourself for any unforeseen event that may want to come your way. Imagine you boarding a taxi and the driver is trying to molest you as a lady, you can arm yourself with a pepper spray in your bag and try to run. Pepper spray is an handy and portable spray you can take along with you. This is mostly useful for our ladies, we live in the end of the age.
5. Be awake and try to be alert. People who are mostly robbedor kidnapped are mostly those who sleep in the vechicle. You told the driver you are going to Lekki and 5 mins into the trip you are far asleep, any driver with an evil agenda may likely use this to either rob you or do something nasty. It is advisable you should be security conscious and you should be able to direct the driver in case you noticed he is going outside the normal route.
6. Pray before you enter any vechicle This may look funny and quite hillirious to some. Nigerians believe in the power of prayers. Have you ever seen a scernio whereby your spirit does not board a particular cab/bus and later on you find out it has an accident. Prayers help in averting some evils and horrible things you may encounter on the way. So before you enter that cab, why can't you say a little prayer based on your belief. Prayer works!! All is well.

LatestAmebo: Kano State Governor says he is not bowing to blackmailers who said he was not working but sleeping. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje stated this during an interactive session with labour unions as part of May Day celebration at the Government House, Kano.
He said that his political opponents could not differentiate between sleeping and pretending. “My opponents always complain that I sleep at public functions but I want them to try and differentiate between the two.
Political blackmail is not an issue to me because I am used to it and will continue to work for the good people of the state,” he said.

FlirtyKaren: Nigeria's Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed, has congratulated world's new heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, for defeating Ukrainian boxing star, Wladimir Klitschko, in last weekend match.
In a congratulatory message Tuesday, Mohammed said government was particularly disposed to the idea of hosting the Nigerian-born British heavyweight king, since he has said he is looking forward to giving something back to the country, according to News Agency of Nigeria.
Lai who quoted Joshua who is proud of his Nigerian heritage, said;
''My heart is in Nigeria, My heart is in Britain. I am a Nigerian man by blood, yes,'' the Minister quoted Joshua as saying in a recent interview, during which he also listed the secret of his success as pounded yam, eba and egusi - all Nigerian cuisine.
The Minister, who drew serious flak for his jollof rice goof recently, further hailed Joshua for his humility and undying spirit by coming off the canvas, after he was knocked down by Klitschko in the sixth round to win by a Technical Knock Out in the 11th round of the rip-roaring fight.
The Ogun State-born pugilist stunned the world on Saturday when he defeated Ukranian Wladimir Klitschko to become the unified Heavyweight Champion in front of a record 90,000 spectators at London’s Wembley Stadium.

abescom: For me there is nothing to celebrate until we witness a crash in the prices of commodities. If prices of food items and other things had to shoot up using the increasing dollar/naira rate as excuse, the prices should come down now that the naira is gaining upper hand against the dollar and other currencies.
The government should force marketers, sellers, importers, manufacturers and their likes to crash prices if no we are only artificially increasing the value of the naira to make some select greedy bastardos rich.
The dollar, pound, euro and other currencies have been crashing against the naira for over 3 weeks now yet no impact is felt. Things are still as expensive as ever then what's the point?
I personally am not happy one bit. And it is because I earn in dollars. I don't mind dollar crashing if my buying power does not diminish but I seriously mind now that prices are still as high as they were. Bag of rice is still 20k+, my baby's food is still as expensive as before, Milton solution for my baby that was hitherto 700 naira is still 1200, pican teething that was just 1200 is now 2,000.
It is f*cking annoying and the government needs to do something very fast.
Well said bro! |
