Iheanacho has no place in our senior national team. Until he improves. I don't want to see him ten miles near that AFCON list. 3 Likes 1 Share |

ChrisKels: May God punish you Sir. You hate the SE with all your heart. You will rather pick a proven useless flop who cannot even trap a ball than the highest scoring player in the entire qualifying series. Ighalo virtually qualified us singlehandedly to this AFCON, scoring a hattrick and creating goals out of nothing, yet you publicly celebrate his injury. And you call yourself an SE fan. Shame on you Sir. May a worse fate than Ighalo's injury befall you in the nearest future. 1 Like |

Earthquake3: Lol. No. I will not. So I should start keeping malice with you because we had a disagreement sometime ago on a faceless forum?. If that is your level of stupidity and immaturity, I do not share it with you. Now lemme make this clear for ya, this site is not owned by your father. It is a PUBLIC forum and as such, you have no right to tell anybody what or what not to react to. I have the right to react to any and every post I wish to on this forum as long as I do not contravene the rules guiding the thread and the site at large. And I will do just that. And I dare you to stop me. Numbskull. |

andrew444: I see Tottenham beating Ajax in the 2nd leg. They were the quicker, faster and more physical of the two clubs tonight. The only thing Ajax had going for them was their slightly higher level of midfield technicality....and some sheer luck. Considering that Son will be available for the next match and judging from Pochettino's demonstrated ability to read the Ajax game and counteract it, I'll be placing my bet on Tottenham. 4 Likes |

Earthquake3: That's why small clubs will always remain small. Once they begin to show promises of excellence, they sell off their best players and start from square one again continuing their circle of mediocrity. Leicester and Monaco are eloquent examples. |

Earthquake3: This very Earthquake guy has always been a nuisance to this thread. It seems his only purpose here is to test our collective patience. From posting about Hollywood actresses to consistently bringing unrelated football news to showing us his "beautiful" graphic designs to shamelessly begging forumites for money, now this......very soon he may be posting his nude pictures here if care is not taken. I believe Nairaland has threads and groups dedicated to gossip and personal life/ relationship gist, but this human being (if we can call him one) will always bring his nonsense to the only thread on Nairaland dedicated to the Super Eagles. Is this guy sane at all? |

U-17 coach on his team's chances of winning. Q: You have qualified for the World Cup, is your aim in the competition to win the trophy? ''I think our first aim coming to Tanzania was to qualify for the World Cup and we have done that, so right now we getting to the semifinal, we have just one step to the final. So God's willing, we defeating Guinea and getting to the final, I think we are going to win the trophy.'' This is how a forward thinking coach should talk. White Onigbinde take note!. 1 Like |

Icon4s: "I am very optimistic about my team's chances in this tourney. My crew and I are working hard to ensure a good outing. We have learnt from our mistakes in past competitions and will try to do better this time. I really believe we will make Nigerians proud". Will Rohr die if he says this before a tournament?. Must it be pessimism and unambitiousness all the time?. For Chrissakes we are currently rated THIRD in Africa. Is the AFCON trophy too much to expect from a team rated third on the continent?. 7 Likes |

Curtisaxel7: This quote from our own Baba Onigbinde in white flesh has left me demoralized and terribly angry this night. What excuse does a coach have to habitually downgrade his team's chances before every single competition even when we are clearly not worse than the other teams?. Rohr's pre tourney statements have always shown a marked lethargy, resignation, and lack of hunger for achievement. For him, it is enough that his " young team" has qualified for the tourney. Every other thing is na jara. The worst part is I'm afraid he has infected our players with his legbere unambitious mentality. One only has to look at the games we played before and during the WC to see proof of this. Apart from the fluke against Argentina in the friendly and Musa's twin moments of brilliance against Iceland, what else can we look back on?. Is it the shambolic midfield or the open-post-missing Ighalo or the perpetually anonymous Iheanacho?. BIG SHAME!. Now the same pattern is repeating himself. Very soon Rohr may be losing to Burundi and giving us his usual "my team is young and inexperienced" nonsense.... Wallahi, Rohr matter tire me. Big time!. 1 Like |

Rohr on probable AFCON winners. "Group D is the strongest with big opponents, including South Africa. For me, Morocco is one of the favorites to win the Cup, just like Ivory Coast, which won twice,'' said Rohr to Medias24. ''I think Egypt, which will play at home, is the number one favorite. There is also Senegal, the best African team in the FIFA rankings. ''As I said before, Morocco remains a favorite of this CAN, Tunisia too. After, I hope we too will be able to get involved in the title race.'' |

ChrisKels: You ARE a killjoy. Simple and short. There is no justifiable reason for this amount of pessimism. We struggled against world class teams at the WC yes, but Burundi and Madagascar is nothing remotely near the quality of Croatia and Argentina. Even if I were to take charge of the SE I will come out on top of that group. Even if we were to go to Egypt with a 100% home based team, we would still beat them like a drum. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Bolowolowo: We may not realize it now but this is a very serious matter. There is already the impression among FB's that our national teams view them as outsiders. First it was Alaba getting snubbed, then Amokachi snubbing Beyreuther despite the latter's impassioned plea to the NFF to consider him, then Sophia Omidiji being snubbed for the women's AFCON despite doing quite well for her club,.... the list is endless. I am not saying FB's should get automatic shirts, but we must handle this matter veeery delicately and diplomatically. I would advise the coach to make a public statement commending all the rejected foreign born players for thier patriotism and giving some reasons why they were dropped as well as expressing hope that they will maintain thier allegiance to us in the future. Publicity can make or mar any organization. 4 Likes |

elyte89: No. You are lying. This cannot be possible. We all know that Iheanacho has been showing his class in training and Rodgers is fully convinced that he is the best thing that happened to Leicester since N'golo Kante. We all know that the only reason that rubbish overhyped Vardy is starting over our super talent Iheanacho is because Vardy is British. We all know that the only reason Iheanacho is not playing for Man City now is because of that racist Guardiola. Infact, if not for racism, Iheanacho would've won the Ballon d'or about three times now. So stop posting cooked up news about Leicester signing somebody to displace Lionel Iheanacho. You and I know that can never happen. Which coach in his right senses will want to lose such a wonderful talent?. 4 Likes |
