At the risk of being called a bigot, let me speak my mind.

To be honest, I was disgusted once I saw this U-17 team list. CLEARLY HEAVILY POLITICIZED. There is no way we can have such a huge percentage of Northern origin players if the screening was free and fair. How many football academies are in the North?. In the Southeast and west we have the likes of Diamond Football academy, Taye academy and other illustrious institutions that have produced us good players at this level.

When they announced there will be no open screening I smelt a rat. Now Mallam Garuba is showing us the stuff he is made of.

I only feel pity for the myriads of talented players that have missed out on this opportunity simply because they came from the wrong tribe and religion. SMH!

Alex Iwobi is fuuucking average!. Rohr has no excuse for not taking Eze to the AFCON. We went to the AFCON with only ONE hot-and-cold average Iwobi as creative midfielder. No wonder we were unable to string three uninterrupted passes in midfield against the likes of Madagascar and Guinea. What if Iwobi got injured? We for just pack our bags dey go house?.'

considered the parable of the prodigal son. did the father love the son ? yes. did this love prevent the Son from making decisions ? no. and the son decide to collect his inheritance and move to a foreign country and ended up in a pig swamp. will you blame the father for his wrong decisions ? No.

did God love sinner ? yes. did this love mean that God will alter judgment to accommodate rebellion ? I believe you know the answer. so why blamed God ?

So did the boy choose to be born blind?

This is proof God does not exist. If he does, then he is either powerless or evil.

There is absolutely no gain whatsoever in serving him.

Lol

What do you understand by God's omnipotence and omnibenevolence? Have you seen Thomas Aquinas' works on these?

I wouldn't say some things so as not to make people despondent.

Any philosopher here?

Can anyone engage?

Note that you aren't replying a neophyte or one who has no smattering of the issues.

So you must be a pundit a tad before you qualify to delve into these issues.

How can an omnipotent and omnibenevolent God stand by and let this happen?. What justification can he possibly have?.

God is either evil or impotent.

This is a moot point

The statement os clear; "Uzoho has not been beaten by a free kick"

The quality of the free kicks is not in contention, no one mentioned quality, you cannot negate a fact based on an adjective that was never applied to begin with, else, it amounts to changing and twisting the question to suit your answer.

The fact is that Uzoho has not conceded from a free kick, everything else is logical semantics.

In the same vein, Kenya has never lost a game at the WC. That is a fact. Everything else is "logical semantics" grin

This epistle is really silly and the likers of this silly post are part of that silliness. Has Uzoho ever been beaten from a FK? The answer remains NO.

This is about Facts and not hype.

Next time, type with sense instead of seeking silly cheap likes. Merci.

you just wanna argue. The fact is not misleading cos uzoho has not conceded from any free kick. He has been able to saved every free kick even from notable world class player like Messi. It is a fact. The pertinent question you should ask yourself is if he would be able to keep up With the stats of not conceding via free kick. Anyway, he will definitely concede which is part of the game. Please your Kenya analogy didn't add up cos Kenya have never been to the world cup hence, your proposition is off tangent. Uzoho has faced several free kicks and he wasn't beaten.... That's fact!!.

"Uzoho has faced several freekicks" you say. I challenge you to post a video clip or a media report of ONE close range threatening freekick that Uzoho has ever faced in all his career apart from that single Messi kick at the WC.

I will wait

Well,I c nothing wrong in what Nerdy said

Has uzoho conceded from a freekick...d answer is NO

Will uzoho concedes freekick in d future, d answer is yes...even d greatest keepers conceded from freekicks smiley

Exactly. Uzoho's freekick clean sheet is not a result of his abilities but rather the fact that he is yet to face quality freekicks. Just as Kenya's World cup lose-less record is not a result of thier abilities but rather, of the fact that they are yet to face teams at the WC.

They say Uzoho is good at "positioning" for freekicks. I ask, is Uzoho better at positioning than Olivier Khan?, Cech?, Neuer?, Hart?. Because all these legends have conceded freekicks at some points of thier careers.

Both cannot be compared at all.

Uzoho has faced free kicks, Kenya has never been to the football World Cup. Two different scenarios. If Uzoho had never faced a free kick, your post would be valid. You cannot say something that has happened, is on the same level with something that never happened to begin with.

Please, come up with another example, because this particular one is misleading.

My analogy may not be literally compatible with your claim because unlike Kenya with the WC, Uzoho has actually faced freekicks. But then how many quality freekicks has Uzoho faced in his career?.

At the U-17 WC he featured in he was not often used so he never got the chance to face any freekick, he played a couple of matches for Deportivo (without facing any serious freekick), in his present league in Cyprus how many good freekick takers play there? Please post video clips of some good freekicks Uzoho has saved in the Cypriot league if any such video exists. I give Uzoho kudos for saving the ONE threatening spotkick he faced at the WC, but to be fair, the position from where the kick was taken was NOT for a left footed player. It is a great feat that Messi even managed to get the shot on target at all from such an awkward position. Please rewatch that game's highlights and verify.

What is senseless about the 'hype'?

If he hasn't let in a free kick, that is a fact, not hype. Nobody is saying "He has never let in and he will never let in one"....that is senseless hype, nobody is saying he won't one day be beaten, are they? undecided

Saying "Uzoho has never conceded a freekick!", is like the Kenyans who say " Kenya has never lost a game at the world cup!".

Both statements are factual but grossly misleading.

I have said this several times on this thread. Uzoho have never been beaten from a freekick. Never!

I remember when, going into the 2014 WC match against Argentina, we used to brag that Enyeama had never conceded a goal from Messi. We were all convinced that Enyeama had the secret antidote to Messi. Imagine our utter bamboozlement and mortification then, when the dimumitive wizard fired in a rocket into our net barely five minutes into the game. Our chorus changed to "na by mistake!", "Enyeama still dey warm up". " Messi don find trouble!, Enyeama go show am pepper today!".

We need not be reminded of the superb freekick Messi curled past Enyeama shortly after....

My point is, hype with sense.

What is the SPECIAL OCCASION Onyekuru has to fly to Istanbul to barb hair? Is Onyekuru Arturo Vidal? So, because Vidal os doing it, Onyekuru too can do it. Are you doing the things Dangote can do? Is Onyekuru on Vidal level? Somebody that has barely kicked a ball since he went to Monaco should be traveling up and down to cut hair because that is what 'men' do.

Stop excusing nonsense by dragging an entire race of people into it. You think I don't live with men? You think I don't know men? Are men now aliens that cannot be understood and reason beyond basic human behavior?
This is not something 'men' do, it is something vain, and mostly unserious
people do. Except he has a health condition that stops him from using other barbers, there is no LOGICAL reason, for a footballer that is struggling with game time, to travel two hours for something as fickle as a haircut

MOST guys are more faithful to thier barbers than to thier girlfriends. You are are lady so you can't possibly know how significant a haircut is to a man, especially guys who rock complicated hairstyles (like Onyekuru's Mohawk).

I myself treks for an hour or so from UNN boys hostel where I live to my barber's shop off campus. I've been using the same barber since my first year. When he is not around I rather carry my hair bushy than go anywhere else. There is this special bond between barbers and thier customers, you are a lady so you can't possibly understand.

Two hours travel no fit separate me from my barber abeg.
