Very true.. I got fooled until after the first game at the WC.

But I disagree that he built the team from scratch. I won't give him any credits besides his man management and getting some good players to switch.

Lol. He beat Algeria and the Afcon defending champs Cameroun in WC qualification, don't you think that's something worth lauding?

And at the WC, remember we were only less than 8 minutes away from qualifying from a group that had CROATIA (eventual finalists) as well as the Messi-led Argentina. It definitely took more than man management and "getting players to switch" to achieve this.

Definitely.. No more,my team is young and inexperience, dt excuse no b am again grin

Chai. Gernot Rohr really deal with us that year with his plethora of excuses and "mind games". Before every game Baba must first hype our opponents and warn us to reduce our expectations grin. At a point we started to believe that the "my team is young" talk na just a ploy to get our opponents off guard, we no know say Baba really mean am.

I remember after our disastrous friendly match with England when people believed Rohr was "playing mind games" and "hiding his real WC tactics". grin.... well we went to the WC and the rest they say is history.

The truth is Rohr inherited a team in shambles and had to build a team virtually from scratch with young inexperienced (some say average grin) players. I honestly believe Rohr has over performed with the caliber of players available for him. Sometimes out of patriotic sentiment we tend to overrate our players, but if we take a hard unbiased look at the team Rohr has had at his disposal and the results he has achieved with them, we would respect the tactical genius of the diminutive German wizard.

Gernot Rohr's football may not be pretty, but he sure gets his results. The NFF has made the perfect choice, we can only go up from here.

Nigerians will keep an eye on the ongoing German Bundesliga clash between Hoffenheim and Hertha BSC at the Prezero Arena, with exciting winger Chinedu Ekene in line to make his professional debut for the home team,
allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Hoffenheim manager Alfred Schreuder has included Ekene in his matchday 20 but the highly-rated youngster is among the substitutes.
Aged 20, Ekene was heavily courted by the Nigeria Football Federation ahead of the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup and was one of the foreign-born players named in the country's provisional squad for the tournament in Poland.
Born to a German mother and Nigerian father, he suffered an injury before the World Cup, so could not link up with the Nigeria U20 squad at their training camp in Germany.
A former Germany U16 captain, Ekene has played non-binding games for that age group plus the U15 and U17 national teams and could have represented the Flying Eagles at the World Cup without applying for a change of association.
This season, the former Bayer 04 Leverkusen youth-teamer has appeared in 21 matches for Hoffenheim II in the Regionalliga Südwest, logging 1,437 minutes.
Ekene will don the number 37 on the back of his shirt if he enters the game against Hertha BSC as a substitute.
Ifeanyi Emmanuel.

To think Aigbogun, that idiot bastard son of a thousand fathers dropped this guy for the likes of 40 year old Maxwell Effiom.

I look forward to when Aigbogun's own bribe story will come to light. That dude is the most shameless thief I've ever seen. Some people on that team of his have absolutely no business playing football e.g Tijani his top striker. I can swear that Aigbogun auctioned off ALL the spots on that team of his.

And notwithstanding the fact that some of his "U-20" players could easily pass for 35-40 year olds, he still got walloped by the likes of U.S.A with genuine young blood. Na that one dey pain me pass. At least other Nigerian overage teams used to bully their way to victory. Aigbogun's team was the lowest of the low!. No genuine young talent on display, and the shameless old men with shaven beards were still disgraced by people young enough to be their children!

I swear if I meet Aigbogun in real life in a dark street corner eh....

Romance / Re: Is It Gay If transgendered Porn Turns You On by Curtisaxel7(m): 6:35pm On May 15, 2020
I think I'm experiencing something similar myself. When I first started watching porn, I was contented with simple regular Boy-girl scenes. As time passed, I got bored with that and I plunged into weirder and wilder stuff like lesbian, Thai girls, virgin porn (yes it exists), Mess, gonzo, gangbangs, breast torture, blowbangs, gloryhole, lactation/milk fetish, golden showers, ghetto trash, MILF, BDSM, midget porn, GILF (Grandma fetish).....even mensturation blood fetish porn (no jokes).

Now it seems I've seen it all. I've explored all possible categories.....gay porn is not an option for me. I tried once, ended up vomiting a few seconds into the video.

I'm currently exploring the Tranny option. But it has to be Tranny-on-girl scenes only. Seeing naked men in straight porn can be a turn off....especially when I'm about to bust a nut and the video shifts to the man's face. I guess I'd rather watch a girl get Bleep.ed by a man who looks like a woman than a man who looks like a man.

And now, nine years since this post was originally made and Ajuri Ngelale himself honoured this thread with his presence, he is now SSA to the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on public relations. What a success story!.

Ajuri, if you ever stumble on this comment, I want you to know that the story of your astronomical rise in spite of all odds (as is evident in the insults heaped on you on this thread), has inspired a young Nigerian today. You just rekindled my faith in the prospects for the success of merit in Nigeria. Thank you!.

rabzy:

There was a great counterculture movement that developed in Europe and America during the 1960s. It is often called the hippies movement. Generally it was just a rebellion against the standards of society and protests against established norms. The vegan movement, feminism, gay sex and sexual freedom, drug experimentation and legalization, anti-war and pacifist movements, civil rights movement, make love not war music by John lennon, music of rebellion by the great rock bands including our own fela and his british wife etc all blossomed during the 60s and 70s. Students were in the trenches and forefront of such movements and what better way to eschew and spit on societal norms than to join your blood and heritage with a forbidden and spurned race.

And many of our men then were quite exceptional, remember it was the best of us that were sent abroad and such brilliance, courage and resilience would always be admired..and of course there is that curiosity of checking out if all the centuries old rumors of the prowess of the black men in bed.

So quite a number of factors came to play I guess.

That explains a lot. But then what percentage of the Western population sympathized with the counterculture movement? I would think only a comparatively small percentage did. Most of them were still racist. And how do we account for the mixed babies we produced in Russia (then Soviet Union), and Eastern Europe where there was virtually no such pacifist or pro black movement and open and unapologetic racism was almost a state policy (even till today)?.

Where did you get that from.

This boy now man is a Liverpool born black i.e. LBB an A typical scouser.

By the way he knows his Dad very well he is a mixed race ( half-cast) and unfortunately a dead beat alcoholic.

Liverpool has a very deep historical relationship with the Nigerian south. In my estimation 65% of all mixed race children have Nigerian fathers.

So if you have anybody that worked for the old NNSL and had been in Liverpool it's likely he has some forgotten children. Years ago l nearly started an NGO to link the lost children to thier Nigerian Fathers. I had and have and still do link quite a few of them to thier Nigerian fathers.

I find it rather strange the large number of mixed race babies our Nigerian men were able to produce in Europe and America in the 60's, 70's and 80's.

How were they finding it so easy to get white women to date despite the heavily racist nature of Oyibo land in those days?. And most of those men were students, and struggling young men. So, we can't say the white women loved them for their money. What exactly made them attractive to white women?. Could it be that the women just wanted to taste something different (as black men were rather rare in Europe back then and were considered to be strange objects of curiosity)?.....or are the rumors about white women's love for black men's di.cks true?. grin.

Komekn, Tbaba1234, Mujtahida, and all abroadians in the house I would especially love to hear your opinions on this please.

Why are most of them looking charred and burnt like lynched criminals?. Are thier bodies not supposed to look intact (save for bullet holes)?. Did the army burn thier corpses? Or were they burnt alive?. This looks more like the work of an airstrike than the work of ground troops.

Plenty questions on my mind.

We are talking about Basketball and not football!!

We don't have the talent or infrastructure for basketball like we do for football...

As it stands, there are 10 NBA players of Nigerian origin still eligible to play for us .. If we put a lot of efforts to get them, believe me,it's totally worth it!

I'm not against calling up foreign borns. They're equally Nigerian and deserve a shot at the national teams as much as our local borns. What I'm against is calling a guy with no apparent roots to Nigeria, who has (most probably) never been to Nigeria talk more of living in it for the 15 years our constitution prescribes for naturalization. I realize that we aren't there yet in terms of local basketball quality but hiring mercenaries to represent us will not solve the problem.

If we want good basketball teams, then let us get good coaches (foreign or local), and good facilities and league structures. Hiring mercs to make us look good would only amount to artificial development and will surely prove counterproductive to the development of the sport in Nigeria in the long run. There are no shortcuts to genuine development.

NB: It is possible that proof may emerge that the Spencer guy truly has biological roots to Nigeria, if that is the case, then he has as much rights to vie for a spot in the teams as anybody else. I made this post in the absence of any such evidence.

Pinnick must be stupid. How can he expect Rohr to take naira when even our SE players blatantly refuse to be paid in naira?. In the last AFCON our boys almost went on strike because they were offered thier pay in naira. If our SE boys who are so-called Nigerian patriotic citizens are being paid in dollars, how much more an expatriate?.

Let Pinnick extend this same ultimatum to the SE. No naira, no pay!.
