For a whiteman, Rohr is surprisingly stupid.

No matter what happens at the knockout stages, I want Gernot Rohr to be served his sack letter the moment he alights from the plane bringing him to Nigeria.

Football should be enjoyed, not endured.

This AFCON has been a borefest. 0-0 and 1-0 scorelines everywhere with anywhere-belle-face style of football.

What is there to talk about?.

Barring a last minute change of mind, coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has made four changes to his lineup for their final group game against Madagascar, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

The duo of Ahmed Musa and Oghenekaro Etebo are out due to accumulated bookings for the tie. Meaning captain Obi Mikel will return to the midfield with Samuel Chukwueze ‎set to step in for Ahmed Musa.

In defence, Kenneth Omeruo has been informed by the coach that he won’t be considered for the game against Madagascar as he will be given a rest after playing the full duration of the two games they’ve played so far in the tournament.

Omeruo has emerged as one of the first pick at centre back and will return for the round of 16 but for the game against Madagascar, Rohr has decided to revert to the “Oyibo Wall” partnership of William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun.

Despite his impressive performance against Guinea, Moses Simon has been given a rest by Rohr for the final group game with the fit again Samuel Kalu set to start in his place after making a full recovery from the issue that made him slump during the training of the team on the eve of their first group game against Burundi.

No mention of the striker to be used.

Hmm. I hope the old dinosaur doesn't start Ighalo again.

Tau may do that in the nearest future.

Side observation:

This team is missing Victor Moses badly. Vicmo's individual flair gave Rohr's team that creative spark that made them a bit watchable.

Since he left, it has been kick-and-rush, anywhere-belle-face, blood-and-guts, huff-and-puff boring disjointed football. grin

I was expecting Chukwueze to fill into that talismanic X-factor role, but it's obvious those shoes are still too big for him at this point.

Maybe a more adventurous coach would've experimented with Onyekuru to bring creativity to the wings, or tweaked the team strategy a bit to spice things up, but since na Rohr the ancient clueless onigbinde of a dinosaur dey in charge, na so so jam-body game man pikin go dey endure for SE hand throughout this tournament.

Since nobody is talking about this, let me say it.

OUR CREATIVE MIDFIELD IS POO. Etebo's passes are average at best, same with Ndidi. Iwobi's inconsistency is of shocking proportions for a player of his level and exposure. One average pass succeeded by three hopeless passes and two awful dribble attempts. The only truly creative player worth his salt in the midfield, Mikel Obi is retiring after this AFCON, after that, what happens? Will we be stuck with this boring nonsense display that Gernot Rohr calls football?.

It is time to declear a state of emergency over our midfield. Intensive scouting AT ALL LEVELS must be embarked upon at this stage. If we can't find FB's to convince, i say let us comb every goddamn team in the NPFL and NNL for creative midfielders!. Someone is being paid huge amounts of taxpayer's money as "SE scout", and I am tempted to ask what the hell they actually do if at the end of the day we still can't look for talent beyond the and established professionals.

Rohr must do better biko.

The embarrassment of not coming out for the press conference with all the journalists seated is disheartening. Such disrespect. I am angry. I really liked these guys but they have annoyed me today. My love for them just diminished.

If it is true that they were owed only ONE game's win bonus, then I must say that team just lost my respect.

These are established professional footballers earning heavy bucks every week from their clubs, So guys like Ahmed Musa with the fabulous fortune he earns every week in Arabia (around 40 million naira), Ighalo and Mikel with thier Chinese largesse, could abandon their national duty for the sake of ONE match bonus!. Just ONE!.

This is disgusting. It is clear that these players are doing this ONLY for the money. Let them stop feeding us this trash about love for the GWG. They are nothing but a band of passionless mercenaries, playing for nothing but money, simple and short.

And that is how we must view them from now on.

Better mind your lane.

Nwanne abum nwa afo Igbo. I am a proud Igbo man. Far be it from me to associate Ndigbo as a whole with poverty and frustration. I can never do that.

The guy in question, gustav is an Igbo guy pretending to be a Ghanaian in order to gain attention. He happens a bad liar however, and has often dropped Igbo phrases here inadvertently (forgetting that he was supposed to be a Ghanaian).

I love Ndigbo but we cannot let a few efulefus (social misfits) to continue to drag our name in the mud.

Lol. If you were a real Ghanaian I would've taken time to engage you in a debate to compare Nigerian and Ghanaian football. But since you're just an unemployed Igbo man desperately seeking attention on a faceless forum as a way to assuage his ego long damaged by the harsh economic realities of the land, I'll just pass.

A bit of advice for you Sir, go find yourself some sort of employment. Or look for another place to channel your frustration to please, we are not responsible for your condition.

Just saw the highlights of the Mali game. A team that can score from outside the box at will is not a team to be underestimated. I hope Samu is watching what the left footed striker did with the ball. Been a while since we scored a goal from outside the box.

Ironically, the last left footed outside-the-box goal we've scored was Iheanacho's delicious freekick in the friendly against Argentina.

How have the mighty fallen!

Please can anyone tell me what happens to the Golden boot hero of u 17 2015 world cup, Victor Osimhen? Such players should easily progress to the senior national team. I thought he is doing well in his current club.

Stop displaying your ignorance in public. Victor Osimhen is part of the current squad and even played in the friendly against Zimbabwe.

Ighalo and Musa have no business sitting on the bench. Onuachu's overall play has never impressed me at all, he's just a slightly improved version of Tijani.

Like I said before, I hope Rohr has a good reason why Ighalo didn't start today.
