It's an open secret that Chinese companies can not be trusted on quality and security issues. But there's a limit you would expect them to go. It does however, seems like they are ready to descend to the lowest hell if that would make profit for them.

At a time when America is mobilising the West not to use China-linked companies in 5G network, and banning Chinese tech like Tiktok, one would expect them to be more accountable. Apparently, they are turning to Africa to continue with their nefarious activities.

Only God knows how many companies are engaged in many of the evils China is exporting.

Ghana has less than 20 deaths in 2months that is the number that dies every 30 minutes in UK with the same population. Ghana has lifted their lockdown so Nigeria should do the same, people like you can stay at home, I too don't want to die.

We don't have to wait for the worst.... We don't have the resources to manage this crisis.... I know we need the money.... But we still need to be very careful... that's all I'm saying

Chapii:
When I say Lockdown will kill 1000times more people than Covid-19, I was not exaggerating. Many have died on the street like this woman, we are not talking of many more that are dying from hunger and preventable diseases in their houses. The white house yesterday confirmed what we've been saying for weeks now that Coronavirus is not potent in this part of the world because of our weather. It dies quickly at temperatures over 26oC. Our average city temperatures is over 30oC. Nobody is showing symptoms of Coronavirus but NCDC keeps releasing audio numbers of cases and deaths.
So countries like Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Djibouti with high cases are all lying too?
Covid is real.... That it hasn't got to your door mouth shouldn't bring doubt in your mind.... Be thankful

7.2 billion minds on the planet and no one can come up with a fix for this? Let’s start offering rewards to the first person that comes up with a solution. These scientists are in their governments pocket so they can’t be trusted

A friend told me months ago,. he inspected a Container and he saw cars full of military vehicles with the UN emblem on them? Not sure why I thought of those stories, guess the FG getting all their extra power just triggered the memory of those stories. It's like we woke up one day to a Koontz novel coming to life, strange times we're living in when the world hits the pause button. Imagine the stories that will be told to future generations about 2020.

Please don’t misquote me...I never said the 7k inverter or modified sine wave inverter is good for all electronics or appliances.

Modified sine wave inverters which are much more cheaper than pure sine wave inverters are perfectly safe for devices that uses “dc current” like laptop, decoders, rechargeable devices etc. It is also safe for led tvs as they have inbuilt diodes and capacitors that convert AC current to DC current.

So if you are powering devices like led tv, decoder, game console, energy saving bulbs, rechargeable fan, laptop etc. Its perfectly safe to use modified sine wave inverters.

Note I also said dc appliances like iron, blender, cooker, freezer, air conditioners, water pump etc. are now available in the market and it’s interesting to know that these devices are connected directly to the battery and not through an inverter.

For those with available resources that want to power “AC appliances” they already own with an inverter, you have to use a type of inverter called pure sine wave inverter. They can safely power AC and DC appliances.

There are inexhaustible information about renewable energy usage online and new infos come up everyday to change the way we view and use energy.
I am very sorry to have Mosquito you...But experience they say is the best teacher....I have been to other nairaland post and I have seen first hand, people complaining bitterly about Modified inverters ......I know it is okay for DC appliance like DC fans , laptop and chargers. But it dangerous for AC appliances like AC fans and TVs....A lot of us has little experience about these fact...That's why I threw more light on MODIFIED INVERTERS....once more I'm very very sorry for mosquitoing you.

You can go for a DIY by acquiring the components yourself and get an installer to install for you.

If your load is not more than;
-Normal standing fan not industrial fan
-Laptop
-energy saving bulbs i.e white bulbs

A 500w Solar inverter will carry the load but you can go for a 1000w Solar inverter incase u want to add led tv, decoder or other devices.

500w Solar inverter 6-7k
1000w inverter 12-15k

Solar Charge Controller 30-50A- (3k-7k)

You can get the two items cheaper on aliexpress website.

Then you need solar panel for charging your battery unless you have another source to charge your battery.

For 100ah battery you need 250-300w solar panel while you need 400-450w for 200ah battery. It will determine how fast your battery will charge. Also, having solar panel ensures you have power throughout the day while your battery will power your need in the night.

Depending on your location, for instance if you’re close to alaba in Lagos, components are cheaper.

100ah battery
Used- 20k+/-
New- 35k+/-

200ah battery
Used- 40k +/-
New- 75k +/-

300w solar panel- 40k-70k
250w 35k-60k
200w 28k-50k
150w 20k-30k

So components depend on your location and quantity you are buying.

This inverter you are quoting 7k, is it modified sinewave inverter? If it is....then its not safe for some electronics, I have seen nairalanders complaining about their electronics getting bad because of modified sinewave inverters. I will advice you do a proper research before recommending modified sinewave inverter.
