adexyz91: This is to encourage someone and to keep believing in Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, continue to serve your God wholeheartedly. I got to Dubai, Friday 1st February, started job hunting online the next day, Saturday. I really cannot say which website gave me this job but it was the same ones mentioned on this forum(Naukrigulf.com, indeed). I was called for the 1st interview(telephonic interview) by Sunday 3rd February, 2nd interview by Tuesday 5th February ( interviewed by a staff and the Manager same day) , called for the 3rd Interview 6th February, to come to the head office at Abu Dbabi by Saturday 9th February. Interviewed by HR manager and Assistant Manager. Got offer letter 13th Feb(today). It was God all the way. I want to encourage someone. If I was to base my decision on things I read from this platform (page 1 to here) I won't embark on this journey (3 month visit visa). If you are convicted within yourself that it is God's leading, please follow God's leading. Though the market is very tough as I read here before leaving, but I tapped into other people's testimony here that I will get a professional job. The common slogan I have heard on this platform and here in Dubai is real “We carry different grace” To God be the glory I tap into your testimony bro in Jesus name! Please what post did you apply for and how did you package your CV? |

jookunlaja: Good jobs are still available despite the dearth of jobs in UAE. Even despite the rancour of racism in UAE many are still getting gainful employment. I honestly think that the corrupt activity of greedy agents is adversely contributing to the problem on ground. A Security Company was rounded up this week in Dubai after someone said they had swindled about 400 job seekers. I have been seing low paying jobs like N80,000 to N100,000 with no food or over-time but ... .
Hold on, my lady and you will soon get your own portion in the name of Jesus. 80k job in UAE?Na wahoo but they give accommodation right? |

Please members of the house,i'd like someone with experience and knowledge about written ticket,to throw more light on this. Also,i'd like to know if one would still go for certificate attestation now if coming with 3months tourist visa to look for jobs, even if menial jobs for a start. Again, would like to know the best answer to give an immigration officer when asked about your BTA ,ticket and an hotel reservation, should they try to inquire why one didn't pay for the hotel and what you are going for or so in UAE.This will be all for now.Thanks. |

mayakha: If you are presently in Dubai for finding a job. I would strongly recommend you to attend walk in interview jobs as much as you can. I was going through a worst phase of unemployment. I had almost been depressed to email my resume whenever I found a job ad related to my job field but got no response from their side. Surprisingly, I found a trustworthy website where I could find the list of daily walk in interview jobs in Dubai and across UAE. I attended interviews back to back and eventually I got succeed to find a job. Therefore, I would strongly suggest you to keep doing the same as I did. Maybe, you will be the next lucky one. Who knows. Here you go.

ariketalks:

ariketalks: COMMUNICATION: You can get a SIM card for 10AED. Registration is done on the spot and requires that you provide your international passport (Etisalat) and your visa (Du). Like anywhere else, how much and how often you recharge depends on how many minutes of talk time you use. International calls cost more so the more of those you make, the more often you'll need to top up. One thing you must know is that WhatsApp calls are barred in Dubai but nothing the power of VPN can't fix. By the way, data is extremely expensive there but all hotels give guests free access to their WiFi so that is covered.
Estimated cost: 30AED - 70AED for 14 days. Please can you expanciate more on the power of VPN and how it can be applied for one to be able to make Whatsapp calls, thanks. |

Bobbyunitedfc: ok...7 days visa shouldn't be more than 50-70k,and regarding hotels i advice u check online maybe bookings.com or hotels.com and its better u book online and make payment, way cheaper than payment on arrival, hotels are usually very costly on weekends from Wednesday cause our weekends starts on Thursdays. Getting a visa shouldn't be an issue ,am not sure they dont use dat age criteria again, see many girls here on tourist way younger than 30,as for your flight i advice Kenya,Rwanda,or even Egypt if you dont mind the stop overs and these options are way cheaper than emirates n etihad... Can one travel down without booking for hotel?Like telling whoever that ask that u have a bedspace that is reserved for you already. |

ariketalks: You will have to go through your initial visa application link. In our case, we used an agency so we just went back to them and asked for the extension.
Thanks for following However, it is impossible to join us at this time as: ▪We aren't part of an organised tour group. ▪We leave in 2 days so we are now rounding up our business here. Hope you have fun though. Some kind people on this thread suggested some cool places to visit so check those out. If you want somewhere inexpensive, try Global Village.....It's just 15AED for the entry ticket. We went there yesterday and i'll be uploading pictures later today. Global village is it a shopping center, what are the things one could get there and where is it located? |

Zoey1: For marriage it works and yes you still have to do your documentation by going outside of UAE while your Spouse files for you. Same applies for Babies, if you have in UAE, you will exit the country with the baby and due proper documentation and then bring the baby back with the processed papers. Are you saying the baby becomes a citizen after the documentation or what? |

nwauwa: I don get work o, Godwin. Thank you to everyone that ignored me ( u may not have work leads for me but maybe a word of encouragement) and the foolish scammer that asked me to contact him last night . My advise anyone looking for a work in Dubai is to forget job sites unless u are looking for professional jobs and concentrate on going to production of manufacturing companies directly. Ps: if u are in Sharjah and environs and would not mind working as a packer/counter in a plastic company send me a Pm. The pay is not great for starters(1300 ued/free accommodation/12 hours per day, 1 hour break per day/day and night shift/overtime bonus and Fridays off) Company will process Emirates Id and work visa God bless us all Hi,nwauwa,do you still have vacancy in your place? |
