Well,this is,my input from the little experience i gathered in both cities.,Accra is lovely and more lively.Living standard here is more expensive than kumasi.Kumasi is cheaper to stay and easier to settle down .Their women here....i reserve my comment.If you wanna be on low key,start from kumasi with time,u can move to accra.I heard of takoradi and wish to explore there too.Pls,if u are there or have been there,kindlyshare with the houss,how the place is,compared to accra and kumasi.

I am a Nigerian in New Zealand. There is a small but growing community of Nigerians in NZ, mostly Yoruba and Igbo. The New Zealand economy is alight, not the best but certainly better than Europe. A lot of people use NZ to get citizenship and then move to Australia which has a booming economy now thanks to the mining industry.

New Zealand has a very relaxed lifestyle, Auckland the largest city is very multicultural with a large populations from Asia, Europe, pacific islands and some from Africa and south America. The only problem with NZ is that the place far no be small, you go chop plane tire on your way.

Foreign students are allowed to work 20 hours a week while studying and they can work any hours over the summer holiday (Nov - Feb). Racism is next to zero here, it happens but it's not institutionalised, its more from individual people who cant tolerate others. I myself have not experienced any racism for the 8 years I have been here.

If you visit their beach on Weekends you may want to decide to be living near the beach lol. Please stay away from their women except your intention is to marry one of them lol Abidjan has a nice weather all year round.

I call Abidjan the food basket city of West Africa, food is in Abundance here you will love it here, this city can make you become a glutton if care is not taken just eat moderately and save decently. Their Electricity sometimes you will ask yourself are you still in West Africa or Europe?? because many times you can have electricity for three months at stretch without blinking. You will hate Nigeria more if you live in this city for just few days especially if you have little cash.

I know many Nigerians in Abidjan that have spent 30 years or more in the city most of them have not even attempted to visit their home country, don't blame them because about 40% or more now have ivorian passports.


You will continue to ask yourself what has Nigeria achieved as a country since 1960 of her independence. I always want to slap anyone to calls Nigeria giant of Africa, Nigeria is not even ant of Africa a country with no light, no water from the government, no good roads these shortcomings from our government always increase depression and devastation for my country men. l have never heard any news that an ivorian commit suicide in Abidjan atleast their government provide light, water and good roads for everyone and there is a very little gap between the rich and the poor in the country. The Last time l visited Bamako the Capital city of Mali despite the country being poor there were constant light, water and good roads.


You will never know what we are taking for granted in Nigeria except you leave the country. You can ask any Question about Abidjan or about the country as a whole because l visited their political capital(YAMSOKRO) and few other towns and villages last time l visited.

If you don't already have an account here, it will be very difficult. I had an account with Diamond Bank back home, I called to tell them about my coming even met their customer care one on one. Behold, I arrived here and their ATM is not even working with their bank. I opened an account with them here but they told me that I should get authorization back home for a transfer. I called home but was told my presence is needed for the authorization. What you will do is this, come with a Nigerian master card and be withdrawing your money from SGBCI Bank here. I will recommend you withdraw from their headquarter in Plateau. It dispenses up to 200kF. First Bank charges me 420 for each withdrawal.
To open an account here, one of us here (Abel) works with GT bank. He is a nice guy too, I was with him yesterday. And their ATM is cheap too (11kF). Diamond told me 20KF

Honestly, I would prefer specific questions, that way, it will be easier for me to provide answers. For business, from my personal observations, every business thrives here. I can't specifically tell which one sells more than the other. There are great businesses all over. What matters is your capital. Yes, business here requires capital.
For withdrawals here, I recommend SGBCI bank. First Bank charges me 420 Naira for each withdrawal.

Why are you leaving Mama, what happened/is happening? Is it because of the language or you don't like the environment? You should have spoken up earlier. If you wouldn't mind, do contact me if you will extend your stay. Life isn't like that. I can really relate because I nearly got frustrated but someone I met here kept giving me hopes and I am loving this place already. The major problem from my experience is the language barrier because these people are very friendly and accommodating.

well,i don't know if anyone here know the day to day living standard of things in Takoradi in.ghana.Accra i learnt is very expensive likewise kumasi so ,i'm turning towards takoradi to know what is obtainable there in terms of accomodation and generally living standard and businesswise too,thanks.

Well I know nothing about Gambia but Rwanda law is crazy and it visa on arrival . You can easily secure resident permit within a month . I live in Kenya for almost 5yrs . My wife is from Kenya and my daughter is of Kenya nationality . I relocate them to Brazil but Brazil embassy never favoured me so am looking at alternative route . Thanks for your time .
