You're welcome my Dear brother. I was able to interview many of umuigbo in Abidjan when I got there, 60% said motor parts business and also made me to understand that as long as you have your cash to venture in whatever is needed in the markets, you gonna make sells and have your profit.

so many business are there if you explore the market. I will take my time to explore the market more and choose the best option for me when I go there again and with the capital I have, I will then make a decision on what to invest.
that's why I made some contacts first when I got there initially so that I will have a place to squat within the first few months I will learn language and be business oriented with the environment before paying for rent so that I van minimize expenses for the main time.

Don't give up my Dear brother!!! "nwayoo bu ijeh" and "Ndidi bu ogwu uwa" says our people. there is this guy I met in Abidjan (an ibo guy) he told me he came there without even a Fadden, but he never gave up and started by doing lineal job to people at the labor market and now he's building a house for his people. life may be tough there in the beginning as a starter, but there are so many things to keep you going like good environment and a working system of things as long as I can have a way to eat a good square meals daily.

I sent you a pm but no response yet. dunno if you're on WhatsApp.
Yes ,am on whatsapp

one thing you failed to mention is you will be earning as much as your expenditures. yes, housing is expensive and other stuffs... but have you asked yourself how much you will be making if you start-up a business? my brother I don't believe that things could be more expensive than what people are earning their individually... impossible!
I spent 2 weeks in Abidjan from late June till 11th July this year and I must tell you that Abidjan is 100% better than Nigeria in everything despite our claim to be the African Giant. by God's grace I'm relocating there next month to start life!

Though things are more expensive there than In Nigeria, but you see the benefits of whatever you're paying for. unlike here you pay electricity bills and no light and other problems with bad road, poor mentality, sycophants and educated illiterates.
for your information from where I'm typing now from somewhere in Nigeria we have not seen light since today but the bills are already there for the month of September which have not even been consumed.

if you're my type that is really in need of a better environment with the good things of life you will like Abidjan.
I rather live happily in a foreign land with a peace of mind than making millions in Nigeria but lacking the good things of life on a daily basis.

My experience and my personal opinion too.
Rightly said but please,in the little time u spent in.Abidjan, what business can you point out that is lucrative, that one can venture into.I so much share your ideology.

I never took this serious owing to what other Nairalanders had written about Abidjan until now. I always made reference to the infos here when I was searching for a house and at a point, the people helping me got annoyed and threatened to leave me. I Never came across any self contain at 25k or 30k even in the crowded village of Grand Bassam
The ones u saw,how much are they calling and how months advance payment? Then on the other hand, why not try places like adjame,i learnt houses are cheaper there i stand to be corrected tho.

"whatever I write here is a personal experience" I paid 27k at the young shall grow;had my passport only and paid 9k cefas for Yellow fever at Ghana border. The living standard here is OK but apartment. You can't imagine the houses where people live here. The only advantage is that it has light, water and very organized. Their Economy is OK. I have observed no difference in weather here. Currency is cefa. They make use of coins here. There was light everywhere I had visited, Sontra buses at 200 cefas to anywhere. There are other buses and taxi too which is costly. Houses are very expensive here. Very expensive and the least I have seen, you must pay from 6 months up. Two months rent, 4 months caution. If you are thinking of coming, budget from 50k/month for a studio. Though, you may get a cheaper one. Comparing their women to Naija is like comparing Abuja and Aba. Their women are amazing and too cheap but I must advise ; if you have a long term plan, delete their women from your mind. Many Nigerians here married them. They are very nice, but too sexually immoral. They show porn on cable TV here, so just imagine the effects.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha they show porn movies on TV?Kai!na sodom and Gommorah?Anyways thanks for the info but so far, what business can you point out that moves very well there that one can venture into?Secondly, the 50k u mentioned earlier,is it 50k cfa or naira?Pls tell more for more knowledge of the place, thanks.

The ministry of health centre around the Lagos international airport issues and the date on the yellow card should be at least 2 before departure..

Let your return ticket be of week span for example departing Lagos on the 9th of September and returning on the 16th. Once you have entered town, you go the airline office in Nairobi and change your date of returning to Lagos.

After a day or two of arrival, you should look for an apartment to move in to.
How much can one get a bed sitter there now,?thanks.

"Everything I write here is my personal experience" The only cheap things I have seen here are ; women and food. Water is costly. The bottle water I buy in Nigeria 100-150 is 500cefa here. One egg is 100cefa. A man I met here as I type tells me that opportunities are everywhere here but I am yet to find them. He is a Nigerian too. Though, I am trying to be very careful with Nigerians here. Two boys (G Boys) had earlier met me in my previous hotel advertising their business. That contributed to my relocation as the last thing I will do is crime. Maybe when I get an apartment, I will blend in
Roughdiamond, how much did you pay from Nigeria to the place, and what are the documents you carried along?Secondly, how do you view life there compared to Nigeria in terms of living standard, economy, weather, currency, infrastructures(houses)businesses and lastly their women compared to naija women, thanks.

South Africa Critical Skill Visa is a temporary resident permit issued for 5 years either you have employment or without employment. it allows you to look for work or transfer your skill to help develop South Africa economy and address critical skill shortage. The visa allows you to change employment at will and qualifies you to study part-time in the republic. Your family can also immigrate with you to the republic.

what of liberian dollar and kenyan shillings??
TravelRe: Liberia by cutieme(m): 9:22am On Aug 17, 2017
If you have made up your mind to go to Liberia, you are on your own o. A lot of Nigerians own barbing saloon there, Women hairs and attachments will be better, you have to go with good amount of money so that you can be able to rent a shop at red light area or in town area. The average accommodation for there is bad, they build houses without toilet, you have to go to toilet to nearby water, just like how they build houses in Bayelsa state,Nigeria. If you have been to bayelsa you will notice that toilet is normally built on top of water body near the house,in Liberia,it is the same, everywhere is surrounded by water, but if you have money there are good accommodations starting from 20 USA dollars per month, no electricity but some Lebanese companies provide electricity in developed areas of Monrovia the capital e.g in town area,Congo town and some part of red light area, living conditions is okay depending on which angle you are looking at it,Liberians enjoy there country to the fullest with little money they have, there girls are beautiful and ready for sex all the time as far as you ask them for it,unclothedness is nothing to them because boys and girls take bath in an open without shaking. Liberian dollar is higher than naira, 100 Liberia dollar is about 250 naira, 1 dollar=230 naira while 1 dollar= 84 Liberia dollar. Travelling through road to Liberia will take you 4 days maximum, from Lagos mile 2 take a bus that is going to seme border,if you reach the border get your passport stamped then enter cotonu and enter a bus that is going to afrowo border Ghana, enter ghana and enter motor to Accra from accra enter the bus going to Ajeme in Abidjan, cotedvoire, from ajeme enter the one going to Liberia border then board a bus to Monrovia, if you have enough money you can enter a direct bus from Nigeria to Abidjan by the young motors or coach west Africa. Take a look at the Gambia, although Gambia is saturated by Nigeria business men,but it is a good place to live but poverty is high there also, although Liberia is richer than Gambia, life is more comfortable in Gambia, but for you to start business there, you have to invest at least 350k while in Liberia with less than 200k you can start well.
what business can one start with 200k?Also do one need permit to start a business?

Well, Abidjan of course have better infrastructures and more electrified streets than Accra, but still, Accra still has that unique charm as well.
