EducationRe: 4,000 NOUN Law Graduates Petition Attorney General For Exclusion From Law School by cyberbro: 10:36am On Sep 15, 2025
Helloworld123:
They don't even need to subject graduates to another exam. That will amount to prejudice, discrimination ,and will be a reference point to the quality of graduates of the school.

What needs to be done is to either scrap the programme or make a periodic review to ensure standard is met.

These things are easy. If the programme must become slightly more rigorous, then so be it. It's a total waste of precious time to study law and not be able to practice.
The programme has already been halted at the National Open University, but thousands graduated from the program and have not been able to enter law school because the school itself refuse to negotiate properly on their students' behalf.

I have a friend who did the same course in Nigeria and had to drop out, that's how I know all about it. The way things are done in Nigeria, sometimes you think you're in a comedy show.

Imagine 2 federal bodies, one preventing the other access, despite being a recognized tertiary institution, the largest in Nigeria for that matter.

Thanks bro, by school reports I meant like the result for every term that school gives not the certificates and waec. Certificates and Waec are available, just trying to know if they emphasize on the termly results.
They don't need your term results, nothing like that. What you need is a valid primary school leaving certificate or testimonial, your secondary school testimonial (if available) and your WAEC result, which is the most important.
EducationRe: 4,000 NOUN Law Graduates Petition Attorney General For Exclusion From Law School by cyberbro: 10:26pm On Sep 14, 2025
Very good. How can 2 federal bodies fail to agree on allowing graduates gain admission into law school... The law students are just doing the right thing.

If at all the Council for Legal Education has reservations, they can subject NOUN law graduates to entrance exams to make sure they're up to par with regular graduates, end of story.

Open University in the UK is producing lawyers every year, Law isn't rocket science. They need to do the right thing and stop discriminating against a federal institution.

Any idea what the visa success rate is like so far ? Also are they taking the primary and secondary school reports seriously?
I wouldn't know, cos I'm not in Nigeria, but I am up to date on it and I think it's high so far.

Generally, German embassy doesn't deny visas unless there's something wrong with the application. As per primary and secondary school certs, don't play with German embassy ooo. If at all they don't verify primary, they must verify your WAEC results. So I advise anyone applying to be transparent.

God bless you for confirming, I’ve been waiting for the day someone would confirm that Opportunity Card applicants are indeed taking a test. Many people told me to stop posting about the test, but I was only trying to help by letting you all know how to prepare so it wouldn’t come as a surprise. The questions are basic—just study according to your field. Wishing everyone the best of luck!
There you have it bro. They are testing people for sure! 👍🏽

PS: I don't do DMs bro. We can keep relating here. Thanks for understanding my oga 🙂

Exactly what i did too. Also helenaa let us know how the interview goes. Especially if the so called "test" is given to you
The test is 100% real for opportunity card applicants.

A contact of mine who went there recently for his Chancenkarte interview said he was tested, but they're just basic questions. I believe it depends on your degree or field, so expect a short test in 1 or 2 subject areas.

They probably just want to be sure those going there to work have basic knowledge to contribute to their society.

Thanks for your input, my point probably came across wrong as my SL is not 6 months, it's for 5 years just like the standard SL done in Germany. What i meant to say was that it was issued in April and will expire by October if not used. The SL expires withing 6 months of issuance if not used for any visa application from what i read.

I'll try to reach out to the embassy as well. Does anyone know the correct email as I can see multiple emails online
Ah, I get it! 😅
I was totally confused by the 6 month validity cos I know Verpflichtungserklärung (SL) lasts longer. Thanks for clarifying.

The standard email is info@lago.diplo.de I believe, but you can also use the official digital.diplo contact us page to mail them.

Oga stop all these lies. The reason why Yorubas don't talk is because the intensity is deliberately downplayed. Okay for example every time you deliberately say South east is in turmoil, but they hide the fact that South West has a higher statistics in terms of kidnapping and violence than South east.
Believe in your lies. 😏

Believeintruth:
So Yoruba don't commit crimes abroad abi?
Of course they do, just like Edo, Igbo, Hausa etc. But you don't see Yorubas shifting blames to government agencies when they commit crimes.

Igbos don't like to take responsibility despite knowing that majority of the drug crimes abroad that stains Nigeria's image are committed by them.

Tomorrow now, some people will call Nigeria a zoo, same set of people will still go abroad and commit crimes. Tufiakwa!
PoliticsRe: NIDCOM Refutes Ohanaeze’s Claims Of Igbo Neglect by cyberbro: 10:31pm On Sep 12, 2025
Ohaneze Ndigbo should put more effort into advising and preventing Igbo men from going abroad to commit crimes instead of blaming Abike Dabiri.

NIDCOM was established just 6 years ago and prior to NIDCOM & Abike Dabiri, was there any strong agency or individual standing up for Nigerians in diaspora?

Una go leave fact begin pursue sentiments.

Great and patriotic father!

The way some Nigerians have been analyzing the shooting that it must have been by an expert snipper.

So, it's a small boy that shot. So all Americans are expert in shootinghuh
That "small boy" has been shooting riffles since he was a kid. In fact he's probably better than some trained snipers.

I saw his childhood photos and he wasn't more than 10 years old when he started shooting rifles. The guy's got mad skills to perfectly target someone's neck from 200 yards away (600 ft), which is like killing someone from one street away.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone else experienced this, I filled in all the correct details, checked my eligibility before applying (which i met) even uploaded my SL and was moved to review stage but got this just now, any help as to how to proceed with this?
In a bid to help, I looked through your previous posts and saw where you mentioned that your current SL expires in October and it was issued for only 6 months since April. Did you update the SL before preliminary review? If not, that was probably the reason it was cancelled.

I am not too sure about the 6-months SL being acceptable in Nigeria cos there's been several back and forth on that issue, but the expiry in October makes total sense as to why it was cancelled.

Just my personal opinion. The embassy should be able to explain better.

Of course, such things seem like lies to people like you, I understand. 🙂

Try to get ur passport, use a bus if you don't have money for flight, go to Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, it doesn't cost much, start from there so that when others say they've travelled it won't look impossible to you.

All the best.

You didn't even visit other countries to see how loud they are there and you just arrived at a conclusion because you live in Nigeria. Lol.
I have visited Benin, Togo, Ghana, Germany, Netherlands, to mention a few and I now live in the UK, all the while mixing with other nationalities, even Pakis and Indians, right from when I was in Nigeria. We are the loudest group of people in Africa, especially when it comes to issues of money and traveling.

We attract too much attention to ourselves instead of moving in silence and dominating unnoticed. The Indians know how to do this a lot, that's why you find them everywhere, even in our own country, they quietly run things and make their billions, live a shielded life and they keep things within their community.

True! They also need to change their gun laws. Assault rifles are totally unnecessary for personal protection.

Unfortunately he was part of those who believed in gun laws, but I respect his views. RIP to him. 💔

How many factors did you even consider before bringing up your conclusions? Have you ever found out how many Nigerian visa applications are rejected on a daily basis? Also find out the country of choice of the two countries involved. Due to how stiff entering the US is for Nigerians, majority of them relocate to the UK. Also, the US colonized Phillipines, so you will expect more influx of the Phillipines there while Nigeria will have more in the UK as our colonial Master. Also, check which of the two countries have more poorer citizens. Many poor people are willing to travel out in Nigeria, but no money.
Oga we're talking about figures here! All the side issue you're considering make it sound like you're debating someone over a prize and trying every possible means to win, chill!

I thought you were using population as a factor earlier, now you're saying something else.

Is Philippines a rich country? Why aren't Liberians also topping naturalized citizens list, since you're talking colonized countries.

Some of una just like to argue over nothing!

The percentage of Nigerians who travelled abroad is far more than the percentage of Indians who travelled there. Don't forget, the population of India is billions in number.
Did you read my comment properly? I mentioned Philippines and Mexicans, countries with less population than us, don't focus on only India.

In 2022 alone, Philippines had over 53,000 naturalized citizen in America, this is a country with less than half our population, they are also a developing country like Nigeria.

Common sense, should tell you that because India has over 7 times Nigeria population
There will be more of them who naturalise
You're the only one refusing to engage common sense here, cos I didn't mention India alone; Mexicans and Filipinos with less population than Nigeria also recorded a higher naturalization rate, even within 1 year, compared to Nigeria's 4 year combined rate...

Filipinos had over 53,000 naturalized citizens in 2022 alone, this is a country of just 115 million people, compared to Nigeria with over 230m people.

Tiny figure compared to Indians, Mexicans and Filipinos, to mention a few.

In 2022 alone, 66,000 Indians naturalized as Americans, this is more than the four year combined figure for Nigerians.

Nigerians don't migrate as much as other countries, we're just louder. The moment someone manages to travel outside Nigeria, they become travel bloggers; 📢 "how to get Canada PR in 1 week" "how to migrate to Germany in 1 month" 🤡

LOL your own case is different bro. You're a qualified engineer (COREN I guess), so using the title even if you're a carpenter is permitted, you earned it in another profession.

At least I know doctors who code, they're still doctors. But I agree with the OP, just because you can code or you work in tech doesn't make you an engineer. The title should be reserved for people with engineering qualifications.
