The mere fact that you included economics, shows that you really don't know what you're talking about. Everyone knows economics is a social science, with a lot of its core calculation based on statistics, which is a branch of mathematics. That should never have been included no matter the point you're trying to make...

The question I asked you is totally different from the answer you gave, please don't beat about the bush! Does having an A, B or C grade in WAEC (the grade itself) have any practical application or practical use in any arts degree in school? What does having those particular grades (the grades ooo) help you achieve during the degree at the university! Kindly explain! Since you believe grades = knowledge...

Great civilizations didn’t grow by lowering the bar, they rose by raising competence and investing in skill mastery.

You're a traditional thinker with a fixed mindset and this mentality of yours is really harmful. Kindly tell me the practicality of having an A1 in mathematics for arts disciplines... Please don't talk about the use of arithmetic in daily lives, every primary school leaver can handle basic arithmetic, but at university level, should those who have a D or E at math be prevented from moving forward with their study despite the fact that it has nothing to do with mathematics?

If they need real-life mathematical skills, anyone can get that outside the 4 walls of the university, but the O-level shouldn't be a prerequisite for a degree when the curriculum has nothing to do with mathematics. Another thing is the hypocrisy in our educational system cos a lot of people with flawless results actually used "runs" to achieve it, it is still going on today. Some people with a D in maths are better than some with an A in math, cos we know they arrange these things, unless we want to be hypocrites.

Once again, shed your traditional thinking- education doesn't end in the 4 walls of the university and anyone can learn virtually anything at any point of their lives. If anyone needs analytical skills, they don't need a credit in WAEC for that as you put it. It has only remained a prerequisite for admissions cos the older generation deemed it fit.

We base our calculations on points deducted already not on points they all have without deduction of points obtained from the lowest team in each group.

Currently DR Congo have 13 points after their points deduction. If they win their remaining game later today, they will have 16 points and push Nigeria down to 4th position and Nigeria will push out Burkina Faso out of the final spot because Nigeria has same point with Burkina Faso but better Nigeria have better goal difference than Burkina Faso on the table.

In fact, historically, the South West has never produced an INEC chairman, but all other regions have. Yorubas have been too marginalized in political appointments in Nigeria.

See the list of INEC chairmen from 1960 till date and I couldn't find a single South Westerner among them.
