A friend of mine graduated from secondary school 2016.

But can't get her school transcripts. Too far away from the school she attended & can't get in touch.

Now she wants to apply for undergraduate admissions into universities in USA or Canada.

Does anyone know of any university in US or Canada he can apply without his transcript just using her WAEC result.

Or is there other ways she can still apply to schools in USA or Canada without her secondary school transcripts?

The learning curve is pretty steep and it would take you years to master if you aren't patient enough I would suggest you learn alternative languages like Golang or probably C# which are also quite performant, if you are, start with Java SE, [Basic language syntax, core packages like [utils, lang, streams], generics, the collection framework, lambda expressions, reflections, and annotations, file handling[io/Nio] , exception handling, multithreading, and concurrency], then just have basic understanding of the web container [ web servlets and web servers] and the MVC architecture, Object Mappers like Jackson would come in handy when developing web services, running unit tests using JUnit and Mockito, build tools such as maven or gradle, JDBC to create the persistent layer (this would be abstracted by other libraries such has Hibernate and SpringJDBC when you study further , but the rudiments are still handy ),then you can enter the world of Spring and dive into spring projects ..which can also be overwhelming, alternatively u can decide to focus on reactive services like Micronaut or Vertx

For me, a very funny and strange interview experience was when I applied to a Tech Startup in Lagos for th role of a Web developer in 2017.
They were building a recharge card to cash swapping app.
On the day of the interview, I worked into their Complex at Chevron and meet the interview crew.

The lead recruiter asked me to sit down. Requested for my CV ( I was shocked since I have already uploaded it earlier).

He carefully looked at it and asked with curiosity, "Do you're an FGC student"?
I said yes, I went to Federal Government college Portharcourt.

To my surprise, he said his son is also an FGC student in Abuja. He then said " FGC students are very intelligent, so when do you want to start?"

E shock me.😳😁

I answered what do you mean sir.
He said when do I want to resume.

I told him as soon as the job duties require. I was told to resume 4 days later. He told me to wait in their waiting room and after some few minutes, I received my offer later.

It came with accomodation and feeding.

The company rented a furnished service apartment for all the developers. 2 to one room


They took care of our feeding. We only reported to the Company office once a week.
We spent most of our time in the Tech hub and our apartments.

This was one of my best experience working with a Nigerian company.
The developers were so intelligent and smart.
Surprisingly, 65% were JAVA Devs.

So Does anyone here have any crazy job experience or strange or funny job interview you would like to share?

I have read the whole USA Constitution more than 3 times. USA is one of th best country currently on Earth if you can pay the high price to maintain your citizenship.

My only good reason when you will enjoy USA citizenship is when you get into trouble when you're in another country and when you want to further your education.

As long as you're a legit USA citizen, USA go change am for that country if they pay a finger in you!

For most Americans living abroad and earning under $100k per annum. They only have to file. Filing doesn't mean paying.

As a USA citizen, no matter where you go and hide in this Earth z every year you must return to the USA, declare your assets and pay hooge taxes.

As a USA Citizen, you can't be traveling anyhow from the USA. there are number of times you can travel in a year and how long you can spend your time outside the country. If you disobey you are on your own.

1. Get a USA VPN ( for example, Turbo VPN or Orbit from Tor network . If you choose to use Orbit, select country as USA, don't leave it as default which is worldwide.
