CandyOps: I shouldn't be replying u because it serves me no purpose. So I'm just doing this for the fun of it.
But then I'll just make a few pointers here and there to set you straight...
Dubai isnt just special it's breathtakingly stunning. And will completely blow your mind away if you ever set foot there as a tourist. Next, you compare Dubai vs Heaven and Nigeria vs Hell. I see what you did there at least you agree Dubai is somewhat like heaven.
About the money thing I said i was totally wrong on that. Racism is bad. And people shouldn't be profiled using race alone All your value judgements are obviously wrong/upside-down. You're the new breed of Nigerian: poor in both body and spirit |

CandyOps: Scam is bad no doubts. But the only reason you face whatever difficulty or racial profiling isn't because of Nigerian scammers. It's because you're broke. Nobody likes a broke nigga, my nigga. Weda Spanish, West Indian or Nigerian.
If your money dey choke, you carry am enter Dubai you'll have nothing short of a royal treatment in the choicest spots on that island.
No dey cap dust bro You're telling him he cannot, should not live a decent life unless he's a billionaire Nothing special about Dubai it ain't heaven, & we are set to turn Nigeria to a hell on earth with the way we are going. You shouldn't have to be a billionaire in naira before you can live decent |

peeps4u: I think that's net earning after app deduction. There is no way he won't pocket 250k at least after deducting fuel cost. Not like every month he has to do a major repair on the car. Even cars used for normal day to day runnings take huge money for repairs at times. You're right I thought it was gross earning Quality of life is zero tho...uber driving is no career, except for zombies maybe |

maysoft: Check this out. And don’t work on sundays.
Only 6 days a week. Not trying to knock your hustle bro, but this isn't anything fantastic from a ROI perspective. Net-off fuel, app commission and maintenance/routine-repairs (concomitant with heavy usage of the vehicle) and you are left with about 150k per month...probably less Considering the hours put in, the usual risk of spending so many hours behind the wheel, add that unique flavor of risk you also bear in thsi case, driving whilst fatigued everyday...the figures are not so fantastic, risk versus reward. |

Subsidybad21: From 2013-2020, power cost 20-30 naira per kwh. Meanwhile, it cost N53 to porduce one kwh.
Until recently, Nigerian DISCOS were, as a result, selling power at a loss.
The difference was paid by a combination of loans and grants from foreign bodies, and countries. Even then, it was not enough to cover DISCO losses.
Also, as at 2018, 40% of Nigerian electricity subscrbers were not paying their bills at all
A combination of that, and at the end of the day, DISCOS and GENCOS are running at a loss.
Maybe if you were running a business, and 40% of your customers were not paying, and the rest did not pay you full price, you would have difficulty meeting your customer';s needs.
(Data from reading widely...see PwC's report on Nigerian power sector too)
1.In the UK, everyone pays their power bills. Power costs higher than IT does in Nigeria.
2.Refinereis don't work, because we inssit on paying N162 for something that costs more than 200 naira to produce. Niger has a functioning refienry, and they pay N350 per liter of fuel....despite being an oil producer like us....which means their refinery makes enough profit to run well.
And we have been underpaying our refinereis for the fuel they produce for decades. The subsidy they pay has at no time been enough to cover losses resulting. And because NNPC refinery worker's salary is not dependent on refineries being profitable....they get their salary if the things work or no...no wonder we don't have functioning refinereis.
If we deregulated, and allowed marketers to charge the prices they want, and privatised NNPC and the refinereis, thighs would work. But you Nigerians have told all your governments since the 1990's you want subsidy. So, prices are kept artifically low for refinereis to work properly. Why are you so incoherent did you smoke weed? which of the refineries is working? |
