Hi everyone, I have been working for this chinese construction company for more than 2yrs now.

Initially I was employed as a quality control engineer to oversee concrete testing, deflection test, compaction test and many more, but after like three months of taking the role, I was been converted to a full time labourer in the company because they refused to employed more labourers and they don't pay attention to quality.

Since then I have been suffering like a mad man ( doing hard labor) in the company, working from 7am - 5:30 PM everyday earning 2k/day. I am planning of quitting the job to buy an old keke.

Please how is keke business? Will I be making upto 5k daily if I apply the same energy I used in working for chinese.? And buying an old keke, is it a good idea?

For the information of those reading, I pay equivalent to around 4000 naira a month and I still get to use the credit to make calls so basically once I credit my phone with 4000 naira, I get 1020GB for free. I have emailed the telecoms company many times to set up a branch/office in Nigeria with this offer and every single Nigerian will subscribe to them but they keep telling me to email/call one department or the other so I just gave up.

What do you think guys, should we bombard them with tweets and messages until they agree to come set up a business in Nigeria or is this just wishful thinking?

I won't be the one to tell you that mathematics is not important especially with regards to data structures and algorithms. One of the most important data structures graph is based of graph theory in mathematics. Graph theory is also used heavily in engineering and pure sciences like chemistry and physics. However, your lack of knowledge of mathematics shouldn't scare you off programming. There's a ton of resources You can use to brush off on your basic mathematics. Khan academy, brilliant.org alongside a host of others.

I really been all tech getting someone phone and going through the phone finished Senior Secondary School few years back

I have always been bad at maths it started in primary 6 all the way to SS3

I never understood what the teacher was teaching didn't matter how many times I asked kids who were good at it i just didn't get it.

So I want to Blockchain and Cryotocurrency programming and a couple other coding related skill
but since I don't have any knowledge at mathematics can I learn programming/coding ?
should I start learning maths before hand or will I be taught the mathematics needed for a type programming while learning programming/coding

You can get every textbook used in any Harvard class, and it costs nothing. You can watch university lectures from tons of universities, also costs nothing. There are tons of tutorials on every subject, which are also free.

You can sign up for remote job sites (free), and do random skilled/unskilled clerical work. There's tons of free guides on doing it, and free study resources for improving your skills and marketability.

You can start a business with no money, no stock, no employees, no equipment, no advertising, no office, and no website. There's tons of free information that explains how.

Before now, I have been learning frontend development using W3school and LinkedIn Learning. I even got help from a friend who linked me to a backend developer for job opportunities. But due to the fact that I was still learning and haven't built any projects, I was given a link to finish up some basics projects and get back to him.

Since then, I have been focused on learning. I intend to learn JavaScript and react before building the projects.

Now, to the matter at hand, I recently discovered ALX software engineering program through their ads, made some research and it turned out to be legit. I quickly signed up, mostly because of their curriculum (I will drop pictures on that soon), which was pretty cool since I have seen what Udacity, Coursera and other online courses have to offer on software engineering.

Another reason I signed up was because it was free! Well they said this year's program was waived by Mastercard and I will be getting a certificate after completion, love it! Though I also heard one has to pay after graduating and getting a job.

Let me break down the program duration, the software engineering program is for 12months, 70hrs a week, 10hrs a day... Maybe it won't be up to that but this is base on my research. On the first month, one is required to get 80% percent score or get eliminated! Lol not killed tho, like removed. After graduation, you get added to the "Room" for job opportunities and build your connection, cool right?

After registering for the program, I was notified the onboarding would start on 2nd of may. On 30th of April, I was sent an email to read through the curriculum, activities, required committed and projects. I will be sending screenshots of the importance ones. I realized that I will be involved in group projects, solo projects, networking and more.

Good day sir sorry to disturb I also want to learn programming.

I am learning programming but I haven't been able to complete any of my classes the time for my classes a week leaves me with no time to work.

do you have any side hustles that keeps you afloat all through the learning process,if you have any please share.
