Hi I just got a police clearance certificate (PCC) request for my wife who is currently with me in Canada on a work permit. She did the PCC in Abuja in 2020 when she was in Nigeria. She moved to Canada in September 2021. My question is is her finger print needed again to get the PCC from Nigeria? AOR: September 28 2020 VO: Ottawa |

I think you should resubmit the document IOM gave you when u did your medical test. When I applied for spousal open work permit for my wife and her medical test result was still valid, I got a medical test request close to when the visa was approved, I simply sent them d document again and stated I did an upfront medical. I even called the chief nurse in IOM and she told me they uploaded my result. The visa was approved not long after that Zerotrust: |
Hello, I schooled in Uniben and my family live in Benin, my younger sister just graduated from there, she helped me with my transcript, it didn't take that long though. If you still need help i can link you but u might have to pay Tfare. Francieuche: |
Eilenora:Write that letter and send it ASAP. Without the letter, they will do nothing about your application!!. They requested you write the letter to notify them that you are travel restriction exempt. |
Congrats. Yes Abuja is really fast, faster than I even expected. I learnt that they might charge u extra if you didn't do your biometrics with them, I am not sure though. I dropped my passport at DHL office, they guided me what to do, they are conversant with it FYsol: |
Sorry, she submitted her passport 09/03/2021 cyris: |

These are the messages I sent: 3. Good morning, My name is (my wife's full name), my date of birth is ...... and my online application for a visa is in process. My details are as follows: Application number: ...... UCL: ..... Passport number: ... I submitted my application in June 13, 2020 hoping to join my spouse (a PhD student on a temporary resident visa) in Canada latest December 2020 but currently the progress update on my application has been stagnant so the earlier I can join him the better for me. My spouse returned to Canada few days after our wedding and the physical distance between us coupled with Covid19 lockdown and restrictions have dealt a heavy blow to our marriage. Initially, I thought I could cope with being physically separated from my husband for a while hence I went ahead with the wedding but the toll on us right now is unbearable. I have attached a document stating my eligibility and more detailed reasons for my travel. I currently live in Nigeria and I plan to travel latest February 2021. Kind regards, my wife's name 4. reminder email: Good morning, I earlier sent the forwarded travel exemption request and its over fourteen (14) business days but I haven't received a feedback from you so I am speculating that I probably didn't follow the SOP. My name is ..., my date of birth is ... and my online application for a visa is in process. My details are as follows: Application number: ... UCL: ... Passport number: ... I submitted my application in June 13, 2020 hoping to join my spouse (a PhD student on a temporary resident visa) in Canada latest December 2020 but currently the progress update on my application has been stagnant so the earlier I can join him the better for me. We got married in Nigeria on December 13th, 2019 after which my spouse returned to Canada to continue his PhD studies which made it impossible for us to spend quality time together. Our marriage is young, and the physical distance is currently having a strenuous impact on our union and establishing a stronger bond between us. From all indications, my spouse has been negatively impacted by our separation. Quite rightly, the physical distance between us has been counterproductive to his academics and we are looking forward to being reunited as soon as can be. On my part, it has been difficult to live with this development. I wasn’t prepared for the emotional and psychological trauma being separated from my spouse would bring me. We communicate most times by social media but this has helped only a bit because of several unfavorable prevailing realities surrounding our distant relationship two of which are frequent and prolonged power outages and internet network service downtimes in Nigeria. Worst still, there is a 7 hours’ time difference between Nigeria and Saskatchewan where he is, and so on a daily basis, we have a barely 3-hours’ time window to have a conversation which is frequented by unavoidable interruptions. To say the least, this has been very frustrating and does a disservice to our tender relationship making us grow apart. I am, therefore, humbly requesting for your support to allow me join my husband in Canada. I currently live in Nigeria and I plan to travel in March 2021. Kind regards, Name Let me stop here because its getting too long please. I attached my letter of explanation with which i applied. Anndav: |

no news yet o! Being optimistic is the only option now o |
after writing to d local govt, mdgs office at minna, commsna for education without getin any feedback, i prayerfully employd 5 strategies to get my finance, beliv me wen i say it was tough. 1. I first formed 3 mdgs clubs in 3 schls n tru d students, i printed letters n distributed from shop to shop, weda small or big asking for contributions, they beliv when they saw d crowd of my club members. 2 i n my students visited some prominent members of d community with proof of som of d minor prjts we had executed requesting for assistance, most of dem contributed well after sevral disturbances 3. with permissn, i gathered all my volunteers and we went round d comm for a rally collecting #20, #30 etc. 4. contribution frm studnts n staff 5. Payment we recivd from our decoration works we did My LI was an impediment, she neva playd her role, i call her on d fone, she say 'u r very stupid'. In all God was faithful, God used my mdgs matron in her place. If u want to do a prjt, b ready for anything it will trow at u n dont tell me u couldnt get support because support is all around u. D comm may look discouraging but what they need is someone who means business n who would nt stop until he gets what he wants. My advice is this, first win d minds of ur comm thru ur students, voluntarily take extra subjects, form ur club, do som minor projects like debate n quiz in a popular place in d comm perhaps with ur money, den use this as a proof that u r not a fraud. Visit dem, call dem, pester dem, use ur students n accept watever d amount . I rememba a woman i so disturbed that wen she contributed, she said she was doing this to have peace, dat dis case is like d woman n d unrighteous judge in d bible. |
