I haven't read all that ensued between you guys but the little I read , leans to this conclusion, no offense but a seller has every right to renege on any agreement before payment is made , it's not gentlemanly but it's his right .
And I believe he said he was comfortable with the idea of escrow but cant wait for 3 days , that's entirely rational , I have done a deal where I had to wait for payment for three days and i know how frustrating it felt and how many deals slipped past me while i waited .

If he promised to come meet your cousin at his shop and failed to do so , that's rather disappointing but that doesn't make him a scammer , unless I don't know the meaning of the word scammer , and if you think calling him out or even writing your complaint in read , will increase our apprehension of his person , well it didn't as long as hes comfortable with escrow then he'll still close deals .
