If you want overall best performance then I'll say go for samsung preferably their note devices , do you think a device that sells for that much with those features wouldn't cut corners somewhere, dont let tech enthusiasts deceive you , the taste of the pudding is in the eating , no be by specs and fancy aesthetics , I'll take a Google pixel over any xiaomi if I wanted pictures and if I want to game , I know where nubia red magic , Asus rog they , but since I want the overall better device ( won't say best ) I settled for Samsung and I'm glad I did .

Bro what you did is not possible, I've used an LCD and I'm using an amoled, there's no way you can realistically tweak an lcd display to look or even come close to an amoled , for illustration, get a phone with amoled screen , preferably a samsung and an get a phone with lcd , put them side by side and load a picture with black background and you be the judge . Dont use those 720p screen o update me thereafter.

And please advise those yapping about screen burn in and dead pixels , that if they use a phone with amoled screen they surely wouldn't wanna go back to lcd , ever wondered why nobody wanna tweak his phone from amoled to LCD

The way you guys look at things with ignorance and just based on brand name is ridiculous. There are many Xiaomi phones that can be compared to Samsung at their price range. And most times they are better. A little research will not kill you. Samsung is good doesn't mean they are they are immune to comparison by Xiaomi or any other brand.

Yes agree Xiaomi fanboys are unnecessarily aggressive. But that has nothing to do with Xiaomi itselfs or the quality of phones they make. I mean this people only started making phones in 2010. In 10 years they have built a large fan base and are the forth largest phone manufacturers in terms of market shares. They must be doing something right for them to gain so much ground so fast with little or no advertising or brand ambassadors.

Make no mistake xiaomi phones are high quality devices that can be compared to other phone brands out there. They have earn their place among the top brands in the world. Your ignorance will and cannot change it.

Bro market share does not equate to a better device , for instance in nigeria we all know transsion device market share but does it make it better than other brands .

The sole reason why Xiaomi has that kinda market share is India and a host of other underdeveloped countries that patronize their products because of their aggressive pricing .

Now I'm not saying Xiaomi doesn't make great devices but in the flagship section it has always been a straight fight between iPhone and samsung , huawei is the next contender , if you've used any of this brands flagship devices you'll understand what I'm saying , in the entry and mid range level it's a free for all but xiaomi can rightfully be called the best in that category because of their value for money concept or aggresice pricing .

I like Xiaomi even if their fans tend to be overly noisy but Samsung iphone and huawei devices are really better than them in the flagship category .

You can have the best rating in antutu and dxomark but that doesn't mean your phone is better optimized or camera takes better pictures , it simply means your processor is faster and the camera probably has more features . Check google pixel rating and Huawei ratings but yet they take better pictures . I actually like xiaomi products but I love samsung more because of their overall package , especially the quality of their screen one ui and secure folder .

Go to India phone forums and see how those guys they bash xiaomi device because of the ads and other bugs in their devices , if oneplus continue like this with devices like the nord , I'm sorry because they'll eat into xiaomi market share before you say papa smurf

I just got a Redmi 9A device and I can assure you guys that all these hype about Xiaomi Redmi phones are mere propaganda against Tecno.

I used spark 4 air for sometimes which I got for 30k before lockdown and I can say that that phone is better than the expensive Redmi 9A of 40k.

Well, my focus is on Huawei and Xiaomi Redmi phones. I currently use an old honor 4 phone by Huawei and the phone is having network issue. No 3g or 4g reception. I have been using my W2 as hotspot so I can use the honor 4 to browse.

The so much hype about Xiaomi phones by *Non Marketers* made me to pick something from Xiaomi and I am not wowed.

* Camera synchronization is zero compared to my honor 4.

* Apps open slower than my honor 4 that has been warning me to free some space.

* Display resolution of 720*1600 is wack compared to honor 4's 720*1280

*Image quality of video and camera is very poor compared to honor 4.

*It is heavy.

Compared to my spark 4 air, it has no finger print sensor, no ear piece, no data bonus from any network operator for new phones etc.

It is just a device. I am yet to see the importance of helio G25 that out perform A22 or A23.

That's not true when you factor marketing and installation of service centers , taxing and other things . Which xiaomi doesn't have here so they both can't be similarly priced , its like expecting jumia and slot to have same price for an item , that's realistically not possible

I think the only meaningful reason anyone would pick the Redmi note 9 pro over this should be updates. Infinix rarely send updates for their devices. The diamond shaped camera style isn't bad. Every manufacturer is coming up with new styles for the many cameras in their phones. iPhone 12 pro looks like a gas stove

But the way they did the gas stove made it desirable, this diamond thing be like a real chinko crap and the back looks like glossy plastic it makes it look cheap, a matte design would have been better and you're right about the updates , especially as it's not even an android one device

I think your whole argument here is based on perception but not solid facts. Personally my best feature on this phone is the 90hz display which I know is only possible coz of the powerful processor. But in any case this is new territory for Infinix since they have never produced a really powerful phone so I will put all negative stereotypes aside and see how this all plays out. From what I see the Note 7 has been a stellar performer and I don't see any problems with the G70 so I see absolutely no reason why the Zero 8 should be the one getting issues.

My only worry with this phone is that the pricing is going to be high. Not because of unfair pricing but because there are no options for lower storage variants so we are basically forced to buy an 8GB/128GB phone yet for some of us a 6GB/64GB would've been sufficient.

The only thing I can not defend regarding Infinix is when it comes to software updates. I know they do send out the monthly security patches but you can't trust that this phone will get the next Android version. But for me that's not a deal breaker.

I'm not a fan of transsion but surely if this thing is priced according to what is being speculated online , I dont see any reason why anyone would pick a Redmi in same category over this other than that wawa diamond shaped camera style that makes the phone look childish, the phone is really well specced as you have succinctly put it

I don't think there's any chipset that you would use that you wouldn't notice a drop in performance after a year or two, though I can't categorically say for the flagships sha but the sd855 on my phone that thing multi tasking is the truth . But back to what I wanna address.

So I did a simple search on Google for the antutu score of samsung s8 and note 8 and I realized that the samsung a51 has better or higher scores than both devices . These are both devices I've used in the past and my cousins were sent some from Dubai this lockdown . And it's quite snappy and zippy to the touch, even when playing games like the dream league and the gangstar new Orleans because I sent it to them .

Now I don't know if your argument is snapdragon chips have a longer period before they start to detonate , but I can tell you that the google pixel 2xl I used last damn after flexing that thing for about 8 months the thing start to slow and it was quite noticeable. though I know why sha , the apps I stored on it , the number of parallel apps constantly running on the phone and the volume of gmail's and all , the phone hear am for my hand.

Back to the koko , I realized most xiaomi fans are not always really sincere , the xiaomi note 8 yall be hyping since is even lower than the score of the a51 , but most preach it as the truth . But anyways who one buy phone nai know wetin he one use am do or want from am , I dont have any issue with the xiaomi device i can even use it myself, but i won't recommend a non techie person to pick it over a samsung knowing what I know now .

As long as a phone can handle multi tasking brilliantly, run most apps very well , has a premium and sleek look and feel , the battery is efficient and there's the hope of software update , hmmmm I think it's truly nice .

Bro I don't know how best to say this without initiating an argument I really don't want, but I tell you there's no phone you can use for over a year that you won't see a drop in performance , on both battery and processing power , and after three years damn it becomes evident . In iphones the difference is minimal but it's quite glaring or evident on android devices .

Ever wonder why people comfortably use a 7 while others can't use an s7 edge for an extended period of time .
