Izen:People like you are either ignorant or just too narrow-minded not to know that WORK is not all about what you do physically. Planning, layout, monitoring, e.t.c are all part of work! They are BRAIN WORK! Men/husbands in the household, do more of the brain work, which is even more tiring..... if in doubt, ask a student studying for exams why he/she eats much when all he/she does is sit somewhere and read. ![]() "Work" does not have to be PHYSICAL or time consuming. If not so, the Labourer that carries Cement on his head should be more paid that the Architect that 'just draws' some skecthes for a few minutes or the mech Engineer that 'just puts on his helmet' and directs the labourers on what to do. Some of you need to see the "Big/Whole Picture" and stop whinning like a horse, just because you cook. Honestly, l dont enjoy engaging people like YOU who are intellectually challenged and whose mindset is 'weak'. You can go and challenge your husband to a fight, because you cook the food you both eat, e nor 'consign' me. ![]() |
Demure1:I hope you also laugh when you hear that "men die younger than women" or that 'women live longer than men'? I dont even want to go into details of how men work themselves to death, over their family and then die when its time to start enjoying it, only for the woman to enjoy the sweat of the man and probably doing so with a new husband/lover. As men, we dont whine. We do our bit and get on with it All the things you listed up there, from the food to the 'pounding' to the children, are all SHARED BENEFITS BETWEEN BOTH OF THEM. No one is doing the other a favor. Like in any organisation, their are ROLES each person plays, for the success of the organisation. You play yours, l play mine and things work. No one should start whinning about how their role is giving them headache, except they are just plain lazy. Same in the family/home. The husband has his role and the wife has her role (which includes cooking for the family). If you dont like the heat, get the feck out of the kitchen. Marriage is not by force. |
Izen:Let us stop this fallacy that women do ALL the "home Chore/work" whether they work or not. There is division of labour. Cooking the meal is for women. End of story. If for example (just an example here so dont start farting), the roof starts leaking after a rain or the Generator breaks down in the middle of the night when there is no public power supply, is it the wife or the husband that takes responsibility for such, even if he has just returned from a grueling day's work? Does he start moaning like a cow about how his office work is preventing him from doing the repair? That is when you hear tales like: 'Is he not a man'? or 'That is why he is a man'. Fair enough, it is his responsiblity/chore in the home front and he does it without whinning. Women should do theirs, like cooking, without whinning as well. Any wife/woman that feels she cant cook the family meal is USELESS to the family and should move out or be kicked out. End of story. BTW: I can cook like mad because l am one of those men that believe that no woman should ever blackmail me with good food!. |
pedrilo:Dont mind that Cow, he thinks by pandering to all these senseless demands of some women, he is going to win some votes! ![]() Any woman that can not do her woman-chores without complaining, should either resign her job or get the feck out of the marriage. It is not by force to be called "Mrs" Xyz. - Mrs Alakija is a Billionaire and she still cooks her husband's food. - Late Dora Akinyilu of blessed memory tells us about her she serves her husband's food to him everyday, despite fighting all the Drug fakers in Nigeria. Many more 'women of substance' know where to draw the line and dont joke with their house duties. All you see are these under-accomplished mofos on Nairaland whinning about how their peanut-paying job has turned them to the 'husband of the house'. Metchew |
IamD18:The Ediot probably started fucking the Boss on her first day at work so she needs an excuse to leave her marriage. Marriage is not by force, if she cant cook because she is working, she should just leave. Just imagine if a Man came back from work and decided because he works, he wont mow his own lawn or do Madam as when due! ![]() These women of today are really pushing their luck too far. |
MrJohnson1987:Hmmm, stories that touch.... Contact the people here, that recommended him to you, so they can talk to him. Buyers Beware. |
Luck2016:NDDC is for South-South, managed by South-South indigenes, for the people of South-South! Yet, they still cheat thier own people, only to turn around and blame others. Blow up these Criminals in NDDC, who by the way are your own people...instead of blowing up pipelines. "A man's worst enemies, are members of his own household". - Holy Bible. |
kense88:This is my problem with you Ibos! Too much chest-beating! Let me quickly address your 'first point': There is a difference between an allegation made without PROOF..... and an allegation corroborated with PROOF and WITNESSES. This is the difference between what Saraki is going through..... and you wanting to hang Buahri for 'link' with Boko haram. Buhari will NOT investigate or jail himself, somebody has to do it. Jonathan should have investigated and "proved" that link and put the Buahri in jail but he go no-balls and you his Igbo supporters are all noise and no action. Hopefully, when he leaves Govt, he would be investigated for his 'links' with herdsmen ajd dealt with decisively. Saraki is being questioned, not by Saraki himself but by another party with authority to question him, with "Evidence and Proofs". I hope you know that Buhari has the most rabid supporters from the people of the South East?. Left to the South West, they have passed a verdict of failure on him. But just watch as things unfold and see how una "Lion heart" people will vote for him en-masse,..he even dangled Presidency in 2026 before una eyes! Smart Fulani Herdsman, playing on the 'selfishness/self-centredness' of IPOB since 1914. ![]() NB: This is just a private discussion, l dont need all Nairaland IPOBS on my mention otherwise, thunder fire anybody. |
positivethought:What you wrote above...and especially your Conclusion (which l highlighted) falls under the realm of CONJECTURES! Politicians generally, are very dirty people with a lot of 'evil skeletons' in their cupboard. Non of them is clean, from Police to Saraki, Ahmed, Buhari, Amaechi, Tinubu, just name it. - Do you know that Politicians, including Saraki, have 'moles' in the Police, who give them information. - Do you know that Saraki/Gov Ahmed got wind that their "Good boys" have been arrested by the Police, even before it was made Public? - Saraki/Ahmed then tried to PRE-EMPT the investigation by shouting in newspaper, that they want to incriminate them (Just like Dino Melaye always shout wolf!) - Go back and read that detailed Police Report again. - The Lexus used to rob that was recorvered, was it 'planted' or owned by the PA of the Governor? - The guns that were buried in the farm (not knowing that their calls are being monitored), was it also planted or owned by the P.A? - Was the plate number of the Lexus changed or not and was it registered to the P.A to Gov? - Was Saraki's tag on one of the vehicles used for the robbery? - Did the Governor Ahmed agree that they sponsored (Youths Empowerment) Youths or not? - Were some of these Armed Robbers on Kwara state Payrol (level 12 and above) or not? The above is a clear summary of the truth. Now, even if you decide not to take their CONFESSION into consideration, you can at least take their ADMISSION into consideration. If Saraki has issues with people like Tinubu, Buhari, APC, e.t.c, that is no big deal. All he needed to to was ensure that he does not "make mistakes" like this. Remember that the former Governoship aspirant of Kwara was murdered by these sort (if not same) assailants, armed by political opponents (maybe Saraki himself or the current Gov. Ahmed). What we need is for the Police to do a thorough investigation and let the matter go before a Judge. If Saraki is innocent, he has nothing to worry about. If he is guilty, he should be hanged ...but l think they will politicise the matter and tell him to "take a bow" and be a good boy henceforth. ![]() Such is the level of "non- fiancial" corruption in this Buhari Govt. BTW: What is the 'account and confession' of that dismissed SARS police officer, Adikwu? Can you let us have it as l have not seen it. |
kense88:You dont have any EVIDENCE of such sponsorship, l wish you have because l personally (and many others) would like to use it to impeach the man and prosecute him. But l will agree that his performance, security-wise, is more than woeful. You have your PVC. I have my PVC. Put your PVC where your 'mouth' is. ![]() Talk is cheap. |
positivethought:I am not a Buhari supporter anymore. Tell me why anyone who had read the Police report on the previous page, who has listened to the "Media" statements of Saraki and the Governor fatah....should condemn the investigation "invitation" given to Saraki. Just explain your own position to us 'clearly' |
wingmanII:Just read what you wrote! Was it Buhari that granted them amnesty or the Governor of a State? If in future, these killers now confess that it was the Governor that armed them, l am sure you will still come back to shout Buhari-Buhari! As much as l dont think Buhari deserves a second term (for his inability to perform his "sworn duty" of being the C-in-C and chief security officer of the country, with a duty to protect the life and property of ALL citizens..... not less than a few dozens get deliberately slaughtered on a daily basis and the President has not done anything tangible about it since over nine months now!), just making random and useless accusations against his person is just stupidity. |
madridguy:The problem with Nigeria is that a large majority of the citizens are so daft and ignorant, they start shouting anytime they see smoke! Even that snub-nosed Reno Omokri is hiding in the US and spewing nonsense on Twitter, let him come down here and run his mouth and let us see. - Was there a Robbery in Kwara where people were killed? Yes - Were the Robbers apprehended? Yes - Did the robbers mention 'names"? Yes - Does the Police have the right to "invite for questioning", any name(s) mention? Absolutely Yes - Does it matter who those names are or who they are 'enemies or friends' to? Not at all - Does it mean Saraki is guilty? Absolutely No Now, all you need to do is read the statement put out by the Governor of Kwara State (wherein he admitted that his Govt "funded some Youth and Empowered them"). Compare it with what the police have told us (That the captured Armed Robbers said it was some Politicians that gave them "resources" (Money, Guns, vehicles, e.t.c) which they used in the robbery operation. All you need to do is replace "resources" in that statement, with ""funding and Youth empowerment" ...... and the ridule is solved! Meanwhile, Saraki has no immunity and knows this, so he has done the sensible thing by accepting to be "quizzed" by the investigating authorities. No Big Deal All these "noise" and "attachement to Jonathan" that runaway Reno-the-Mockery is making, is just to justify the money TAN Money Jonathan gave him. At the appointed time, Reno Mockery will account for his words/actions. The inconsequential midget wants to be identified as "a big political player", by making the loudest noise |
slawomir:That was before! Now, it is Sachet Alcohol, Sport betting and Codeine/Tramadol Why wont most of them become lazy? ![]() |
Yusuf4:No wonder the Uni. Proffessors are complaining that Undergraduates students don develop ""laser chips" they use in cheating in exams, only to get 100%! BTW: We are supposed to just swallow it that you scored 4.1 CGPA, abi? No evidence, No proof, No Name, No Transcript, No Certificate, e.t.c? Even Dino Me-Lying is a 1st Class Graduate of Harvard University! ![]()

bixton:Not always true! There are "layers", in any security apparachne. We cal it the "Onion principle"...to reflect the layers of the Onion flesh, while it shields it central-core. - Security layers actually start by just demarcating where your territory starts/ends.... using something as simple as a 'different color' of paint or even sand, on the floor (as long as it is different and clearly identifiable by others.) - As the 'threat level' overcomes or trespasses the outermost layer and walks its way inwards, your level of response also increases commensurately The message you are sending, for example by planting a different flower in your frontage, is to tell intruders: you are stepping on private space, pls keep off! if they cross your flower-hedge and approach your gate, that is another "layer" and the response could be a Dog barking or a security personnel giving them the shoo-off signal or an announcement over your CCTV monitor reminding them that they are being watched and recorded and could be putting themselves in a precarious situation that can land them in jail. ![]() Now, inside your compound, your 'privacy' is not just your unclothedness, it also includes what you can leave within the compound or expose within it, and you dont want others to be privy-to. For example (and this is just an example), if you have a swimming pool within your compound, low walls wont do. If you leave expensive 'Toys' within your compound, low walls wont do. Even having your children play within the compound, if for example you just came from abroad , low walls wont do otherwise they become a target of kidnappers.I do a little bit of 'advicing' on such subjects for a living, so l am quite familiar with it. |
bixton:Very true. But the security situation is some hoods (and to some extent, the 'mischief' of some home-owners), makes such type of fencing impossible. |
ednut1: Evangkatsoulis:Instead of back-and-forth arguement, one of you should provide the "source" of their assertion, like Census figures. |
RuthlessLeader:Face your lane joor, you rotten mongrel. Get something else to fill your empty, frustrated life. ![]() |
lovelygurl:That a child grew up "UNDER YOUR GUARDIANSHIP" even when you are one of the parent (mother), does not equate to RAISING A CHILD. A child can "grow up under the guardianship" of anybody or even anything afterall, we occassionally see a "mad woman" under the bridge, with a child who is alive and eating, from day-to-day. I guess you would say "she is RAISING a child". ![]() "Raising a child" implies supplying ALL the child needs, physically, mentally and most especially PSYCHOLOGICALLY, to result in a BALANCED and WELL ADJUSTED ADULT. Most people., especially those that trump and parrot "single parenthood" (whether male of female) have no idea what they are saying, when they talk about 'raising a child". Have you ever sat back and give a thought to a child from a supposedly "good home" who just turned out to be a serial killer? Some of you need to read the "growing-up history" of some of these "unbalanced adults" to see the damage done to them, by their parental upbringing. Then you would see and know the difference. It is an indepth topic not suited for a 'light platform' like Nairaland. Let us just leave it at that. The best upbringing and way to raise a child is when both parents are there, together and funcionally active. |
RuthlessLeader:You are worse than a Paedophile. There is a reason they say "IGNORANCE is a DISEASE". You are just a lost, confused, ignorant, diseased goat. ![]() |
RuthlessLeader:If the Bible "rewards rape" (as you claim, then all Christians or majority of Christians would have been rapist by now or which Christian would not like to be rewarded by the Bible? You see yourself? ![]() Even 'if' you are not a Muslim, I did not know you are this IGNORANT! I love to help people reach an understanding that cures them of 'dangerous ignorance' but in your case, you have elevated it to an art and it will take more than an online re-orientation, to educate you on matters you know nothing about, yet crass-arrogantly speak-of! So, you are not a Christian and neither are you a Muslim, right? How then do l expect you to have the slimmest, foggiest idea of " Biblical spiritual things"? Please, you can do better by quoting a Dictionary, at least then, all we have to battle-to-explain to you, will be the grammar and context of the quote. That you quote one line in the Bible seems to delude you into the thinking that you "understand" the Bible, huh? ![]() Ability to READ, does not equate the Ability to COMPREHEND/UNDERSTAND, moreso that most thing sin the bible are written in "figures of speech" (Proverbial, oxymoronic, colloquialism, ironies, e.t.c). Have a good day, my time is precious to me. |
procky:The above is a FALLACY! Everything you said up there can be found in monogamous marriages...... otherwise, there wont be DIVORCE. The most cheating - Monogamous marriages The most jealousy - Monogamous marriages The most envy - Monogamous marriages The most fights (with spouse) - Monogamous marriages The most spousal murders - Monogamous marriages This is not an endorsement of Polygamy but to show you that Polygamy itself, is not the cause of what you have up there, it is the individuals and their evil traits, that lead to such outcomes. I have seen lots of polygamous families that are fit to be called "models" of family life.... and l have seen thousands of monogamous marriages that are best described as "marriage from hell'. I am sure we all have seen these as well. |
procky:It is "over-sabi Christianity" that is worrying people who would dare say that. All good knowledge is from God. If he wants to prevent us from using IVF, He can 'blind us' to such knowledge afterall, we are 'still blinded' on trying to know where God actually resides. ![]() Knowledge can be used for Evil or for Good. where a family is experiencung challenges in concieving, there is nothing wrong for them to go through the iVF route. What we should condemn is those who use it to circumvent the natural arraingement of marriage, to their own selfish end. There are Men who want to marry another Man ...and still want to have children. It is these type of dysfuntional and mentally unhinged people that shoudl not be allowed anywhere near IVF because Science has made it possible to implant Placenta in one of them or for them to supply evil seeds that would fertilize a female Egg, resulting in a child. Generally, the world is getting more and more phucked-up in the name of advancement...... and the end will just be like a Sci-Fi movie, one day. Just look at what is happening in the field of Artificial Intelligence. We may eventually self-destruct, mistakenly or intentionally, one of these days. |
procky:And "Money-car" and "Husband killers" to that list of what is chasing even Men away from amrriage. ![]() and YES, it is fundamentally wrong for a woman to INTENTIONALLY raise a child without a Father, just as it is for a man to "intentionally" raise one without a Mother! What most of you dont know (and l am speaking generally for both Men and Women) is that Each Parent contributes a Unique and Specific quality to the nature and psychological balance of a growing child. The woman maybe the best mother in the world, just as the Man may be the best father in the world but each can never provide what the other Parent is supposed to provide (not money or material things), to the complete, balanced, wellbeing of a growing child. You need to look at statictics of Prisons to see what single parentage (mostly mothers), have done to the life of Youths (mostly Young men!) If you have the time, just Google it and read it up. It will open the eyes of those of you who think once l spoil my children with the best things of life, they dont need a father. |
RuthlessLeader:I beg sharrap there joor, is this all your parents taught you! Which Bible do you know? The one they taught you in your Quranic Almanjeri School or what? While it may not have any 'immdiate physical consequence' for you to utter the imbecilic statement you made up there (as bolded) because you are referring to a Jesus of the "Peace-loving" Christians who are so forgiving and accomodating of even the most foolish trogodlite, l am sure you know what the result would have been, if someone had said the same thing about the Muhammed of your own faith. Since you are not a Christian, stick to what you know and stop esposuing idiocy, on the WWW. Half knowledge is not only dangerous, it is a danger to the person who has it. Stay safe and dont commit suicide. |
Sanchez01:You obviously read only half of what l wrote and jumped to make a reply! Read it slowly, especially the last paragrapgh where l said "I do not support....". That paragrapgh is enough to deal with your mis-yarns above. Again, what is a "Christian topic" or when did IVF become a Christian topic for God's sake? - IVF is a medical procedure and a medical terminoly. - It is available and intended for Chiristians, Muslims, Atheist, Traditional worshipers and just about anyone who wanst it and can afford it or where did you get your own idea from? Do l also need to refer you to a Textbook and get someone to explain it to you in a Language you understand? - Ex President Obasanjo. That you are looking at the issue from a 'religiously myopic' view-point (reason we have all these crass comments up there) or that one Pastor decides he is the 'decider' of what anyone can do, does not mean we all have to sleep, facing the same direction. My comments was basically to point out that there is not need to "generally castigate" anyone for opting to go for IVF, on the assumption that they are wayward and dont want to settle down with a husband, .....the reasons behind such decisions are varied and important to the individual. |
Rubbiish:Sir, If the land is stable and good, do we ever consider using the basement/ground floor for parking or doing an underground parking space? It is not as difficult as we think, just like having another floor beneath the livable one or below ground. Just imagine the space saving anf functionality, compared to the little, additional cost. |
bixton:Very True. Functionality Perspective! Rubbiish:Again, very true. Aesthetic Perspective! But l would not mind to 'trap' the aroma from your kitchen so that anytime you are cooking some nice stew, l will simply make Pounded yam or Akpu and stand close to oyur kitchen, swallowing my Akpu with the aroma of your stew. ![]() What about "Safety perspective"? Where we all know that most fires start from the kitchen and putting it where it is easily accessible to say Fire trucks and their hose (like we bury soakaway in the front of the house so that it is easily accessible to evacuation trucks .....old fashion style). A kitchen buried deep behind the house may not be easily noticeable to neighbours in case of fire and may not be as easily accessible to fire fighters in an emergency, compared to one that is at the front. |
josite:With all these many 'Might', 'May' and "Maybe's" ........ the Op cannot take any lesson from your post! He wants "answers/solutions" ...not conjectures! You want Op to ask God for wisdom? Who tells you he even knows how to pray or even believe in God! ![]() Best solution, that would not offend or incriminate anyone is for him to start walking around the house, UNCLAD. The sister herself will have no option than to request to leave.....abi she wan get pregnant for her junior sister's husband? ![]() BTW: Op, you have deliberately refused to answer people's question concerning what she came to do in your house, whether schooling, working, job-hunting, e.t.c. This makes me to think the story is all FABRICATED to generate traffic. |
Too many lazy and ignorant 'Yoots'! IVF is not just about a single lady wanting to get pregnant all by herself, haaba! There are hundreds of married women, living happily with their husbands, who also undergo IVF treatment because they have difficulty in concieving naturally. For example: - Blocked tubes - Hubby erectile dysfunction - damaged sperms (low motility, deformations, e.t.c) - Damaged Placenta - Fibroid issues ....and many more situations that may warrant the IVF route. It is not for any silly Pastor to say it is allowed or not, just based on his own convinience. Mind you, l am not saying or in support of an unmarried woman like Linda Ikeji, taking advantage of such procedure, for her illicit disposition, if oyu know what l mean (I know the daft ones wont know what l mean). Like Abortion, it is not to be encouraged but to be used as a 'last resort', to remedy a hopeless situation. |
