Nollywood actor Pete Eneh's last daughter, Ijeoma Eneh, got married to her heartthrob Mr Chineme Chris over the weekend. The traditional wedding ceremony of the late actor's daughter took place at Amaokwe Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State. Pete Eneh's daughter who got married over the weekend, is said to be a dentist based in Abuja.

70 female clubgoers were arrested in recent raid at a nightclub in Abuja, and it was further gathered that some were allegedly molested and assaulted. Among the 70 female clubgoers arrested in Abuja, was a mother of a 2-months-old baby who wasn't even allowed to breastfeed her. A Nigerian lawyer, @Martobono who raised the alarm, said the arrested women was dragged down to Utako Police Station.

Toyin Lawani who few days ago expressed surprise at how her daughter Tiannah who now resides in the USA has grown, took to Instagram today to celebrate her on her 14th birthday. In her Instagram post to celebrate her daughter on her 14th birthday, Toyin Lawani revealed that she gave birth to her at the age of 23. Some kidnappers who kidnapped policemen attached to to the National Assembly to the National Assembly, have failed to release them after receiving N1.4M Ransom. The kidnappers who failed to release the Policemen after receiving N1.4M Ransom, kidnapped them two weeks ago while on their way home to Shere community, Abuja, from a funeral. The kidnappers who abducted three policemen one of whom managed to escape, reportedly demanded N10m ransom for the release of their victims.

It was gathered that following the failure of detectives to track the suspects, the family members of the abducted policemen met with the leadership of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command which provided N1m. The worried relations also raised additional N400,000, amounting to N1.4m, which was delivered to the kidnappers by a police officer attached to the Federal Criminal Investigation Department identified as Danladi.

However acting FCT Police spokesman, Gajere Danjuma who denied that a ransom was paid to the kidnappers, said efforts to rescue the men were ongoing.

Kwesi Arthur, a Ghanaian singer who got nominated  in the 2018 Black Entertainment (BET) Awards, has revealed that Mr Eazi funded his video. Kwesi Arthur who spoke in an interview with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 Radio in the UK after he released a 9 track album titled ‘Live From Nkrumah Krom Vol II’, said Mr. Eazi funded his ‘Woara‘ music video.

“Since we recorded Pilolo, he’s been giving me advice and stuff and he actually funded one of my videos, ‘Woara‘. Yeah, he gave his money to shoot that video so bless up Mr. Eazi. We’ve been staying in touch,” He said, responding to a question as to how he got in touch with Mr. Eazi.

The singer earned a place in the international music scene after his nomination in the 2018 Black Entertainment (BET) Awards, has also been featured on great international media platforms like the BBC, Tim Westwood TV, BBC1 Xtra, among others. At the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, his ‘Grind Day’ hit song was adjudged the Hip hop song of the Year.

Femi Adesina who spoke on behalf of the Presidency on claims of Buhari seeking medical treatment during private visit to UK, stated that Nigerians have the right to believe anything they want. President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, who spoke on Thursday while featuring on Politics Today which aired on Channels Television, Buhari had not jetted out of the country after the rigorous election campaigns.

The Presidency who spoke on claims that Buhari is seeking medical treatment during private visit to UK, said; “Those who want to interpret everything, those who want to believe all things should just believe that it is a private trip. When a man goes on a private trip, he has the right to use his time the way he deems because he has the right to private time. So those who want to believe it’s a medical trip, they have the right to believe, if it pleases them and makes them happier,” he said.

“President Buhari has since the last weekend in December when he launched the presidential campaign, all through till February he was on campaign stuff around the country. Elections came and a lot of people expected that immediately after the elections, he will travel out to rest or attend to his health, but we see two months after the elections, the President was working vigorously,” he added.

A Twitter user took to the platform to narrate how a Nigerian lady made a Canadian university drop its IELTS requirement for all Nigerian applicants.According to @TosinOlugbenga, the Canadian University required the IELTS  to test her competency in English. However the Nigerian lady who refused writing the exam, told them that English language has been her language of instruction since her elementary education till tertiary education and if she would not be considered for admission because of that she's okay with it.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC  Ibadan zonal office, have arrested 32 suspected Yahoo Boys hiding inside chairs in Ogun. The 32 suspected Yahoo Boys hiding inside chairs in Ogun were arrested on Thursday, April 25, 2019 by the EFCC and they were all aged between 15 and 39 years.

The suspects were arrested at Liberty Estate, Laderin area of Abeokuta, Ogun during an early morning sting operation carried out by men of the commission.Fourteen of them claimed to be undergraduates, while 18 others said they are self-employed in various vocations. The arrest was sequel to a petition detailing their alleged fraudulent activities, including internet fraud through which they obtain money from unsuspecting victims. 

It was further learnt that six exotic cars, laptops, mobile phones, several documents containing false pretences and fetish objects were recovered from the suspects arrested by anti-graft agency. The commission’s spokesperson, Tony Orilade who confirmed their arrest, revealed the suspects are already helping operatives with useful information adding, “They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”.

A CCTV footage of a suicide bomber entering a church before the Sri Lanka Easter Bombing occurred, has been released days after the attack.The CCTV footage was that of the suicide bomber who killed entering St Sebastian's church in Negombo. The death toll now exceeds 320 and the footage was broadcast widely on Sri Lankan news channels.

At least 45 children were among the more than 320 people killed in the suicide bomb attacks in Sri Lanka, the United Nations said Tuesday.“The total now is 45 children who died,” UNICEF spokesman Christophe Boulierac told reporters in Geneva, stressing that others “are wounded and are now fighting for their lives,” meaning the toll among minors from the Sunday attacks could rise. ISIS on the other hand, just claimed Sunday’s suicide attacks in Sri Lanka, claiming they were the work of “fighters of the Islamic State” via their Amaq news agency. The group did not provide any evidence to support the claim.

A driver has been been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, after he stole his company's vehicle over threat of getting sacked.The Borno State indigene identified as Abah Ali, was  employed by a company, Gharsu Service Limited, in July 2018, as a driver to the Chief Operating Officer. However 24 days after resumption, the driver stole the company's vehicle, a Toyota Highlander over threat of getting sacked.

He said, “I asked my boss for money to take care of my mother, who is very sick in the village, but he shouted at me and threatened to sack me. That was why I was tempted to steal his vehicle that was in my care.“I got a buyer, who offered to pay me N1.2m for the vehicle. An initial sum of N500,000 was given to me. I left for my hometown without the knowledge of my wife before I was arrested by the police. My intention was to return to Lagos to resolve the matter and plead with my boss.”

The suspect who was arraigned before an Ogba Magistrates’ Court on two counts of stealing, pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was  granted bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.

A Briton was among the two people shot dead at a Kajuru castle in Kaduna last Friday, by unknown gunmen who also abducted three others. The Briton who was shot dead at the Kajuru castle, Kaduna was identified as Faye Mooney, and it was gathered that she travelled from Lagos to have some fun at the resort when they were attacked around 11pm.


Before her death, she worked with a non-governmental organisation,  Mercy Corps, and she was reportedly killed alongside Mathew Oguche, a staff member of an international NGO, Safety Organisation.The British High Commission in a statement by the Head of Communications, Policy & Corporate Lead, Department for International Development, David Smith, in Abuja on Sunday,  explained that the deceased Briton’s next-of-kin had been notified.

Four suspected Boko Haram members accused of planning coordinated attacks against police formations on April 19, 2019, have been arrested in Edo State. The four suspected Boko Haram members who were arrested by the Edo state police command’s tactical teams, were identified as Salihu Uzovehe (23), Hadi Musa Gambari (23), Tijani Garuba (24) and Mohammed Abdulkadri (44).

It was gathered that the suspects were members of a deadly and notorious gang members of kidnapping and armed robbery syndicates that are terrorizing Kogi and Edo States axis. An old carton-color Toyota Valet car, one pump-action gun, two locally made guns, 20 live cartridges, a pair of police mobile force uniform, two face masks and charms, were recovered from the arrested suspects.
