Emeka Ike seems to have held a low-key wedding, as he revealed that he has remarried in an interview with Sunday Scoop. 

Emeka Ike who revealed that he has remarried while talking about a trip to Germany, said he was still in pain of his first marriage which ended when he met his new wife. Recall that his new wife, Yolanda had in February 2019 told her followers that she is the veteran actor's wife-to-be. Here are excerpts from the interview below; 

Where did you travel to recently?

I have been around the world but my trip to Germany two years ago was very memorable. I travelled to the country to get an award as a living legend.

What was the highlight of your trip?

The highlight of my trip was the award I got and I met a lot of fans. Also, I met a lady and today, she is my wife. I just went to pick an award and not for anything romantic because I was still in pain (from my former marriage). I didn’t want to fall in love.

The Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN seems to have made a U-turn on their stance on Pastor Fatoyinbo’s alleged rape case, as they reportedly initiated a move to meet with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN leadership over the incident. 

Recall that CAN had earlier told News Telegraph that the rape allegation was not their business, as they do not interfere in the way Pastors run their churches. However the Special Assistant, Media and Communications to the CAN President, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, who confirmed that the Christian body will meet with PFN leadership over Pastor Fatoyinbo’s alleged rape case, added that they will get to the root of the matter.

The statement read in part, “The Christian Association of Nigeria as a body, condemns any case of rape in strong terms, it doesn’t matter who is involved. It is ungodly, wicked, and reprehensible. However, on the allegations against Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo, we have no details about the matter other than what we are reading on the social media, this is not reliable and credible evidence enough to jump into a conclusion.

“The CAN Leadership, therefore, has reached out to the leadership of the block which the Pastor in question belongs with a view to getting to the root of the matter. This will help us to make the right decision on the issue.”

Counselor Lutterodt, the controversial Ghanaian Pastor has stated that married men must date single ladies to teach them about marriage.

According the relationship coach, dating is not a relationship and flirting is not cheating. Speaking on Men’s Lounge’ with Nana Yaw Odame on the topic “Married Men And Cheating A Perception Or Reality”, Counselor Lutterodt who stated that married men must date single ladies to teach them about marriage, added that it’s far better for a woman to date a married man than someone who is not married.

The Nigerian army has disclosed that Boko Haram insurgents waited in ambush for troops of the Nigerian Army at Wala village in northern Borno State, to steal foods being conveyed to the military base.

Col Sagir Musa, the acting Director, Nigerian Army Public Relations who confirmed that the Boko Haram insurgents waited in ambush for the food conveyed to troops of 26 Brigade Garrison, disclosed that soldiers were on patrol and escort duties of civilian merchants and commuters along Wala village on Saturday when they ran into the insurgents, who opened “heavy gunfire on them.” They were however able to fight through the ambush and also recovered two AK-47 rifles.

Musa, said, “During the encounter, troops responded with heavy gunfire, exterminated two terrorists and captured two AK-47 rifles. Subsequently, intelligence revealed that the terrorists were informed by their informants of the troops’ movement, wanting to use the opportunity to grab foodstuffs.”

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, on Thursday, June 20, 2019 swept on hideouts of suspected internet fraudsters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, and smoked out 27 suspects among whom were four ladies suspected to be their girlfriends.

Officials of the Commission have embarked on weeks of surveillance, working on series of intelligence gathered on the activities of suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’ in locations across the city. The intelligence was found to be substantially credible, leading to the sting operation on Thursday.
Among the arrested suspects are Adeleke Peter, Babalola Abiodun, Aduroja Temitope, Abdulazeez Razak, Adesina Adewale, Osayintoba Dare, Adebowale Fadairo, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, Akinseye Samuel and Osanyintoba Femi.

Others include: Austin Onyekachukwu, Oluwaseun Adesina, Ibosiola Olamilekan, Ayoola Lekan, Abdullahi Owopade, Olatunbosun Kolawole, Saheed Adebola, Osanyintoba Pelumi, Ayo Bello, Samuel Emmanuel, Olalekan Oladele, Solomon Mattew, Oyelude Opeyemi, Quadri Olatunji, Ibrahim Alao, Tunde Bello and Fatolu Temitope. Eight exotic cars including two Lexus and six Toyota brands, as well as many costly phones and laptops, were among the items recovered in the course of the operation.

Femi Kuti will perform at the 2019 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, opening ceremony in Egypt as confirmed by the organizing committee. 

The  our-time Grammy award nominee in 2003, 2010, 2012 and 2013, will be performing alongside two other musicians from Egypt and Ivory Coast – Hakim and Dobet Gnahore. The announcement which confirmed that Femi Kuti will perform at the AFCON 2019 opening ceremony, was made on CAF’s official Twitter handle, the continent's football body. 

The Afrobeat singer will perform in English, while Hakim and Dobet Gnahore perform in Arabic and French respectively. The three international musicians will sing “Metgamaeen” (We Are Together) produced by Synergy together on stage in Cairo, Egypt.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey's President has stated that embattled Egyptian ex-President Mohamed Morsi who slumped in court, was 'killed'. 

 Erdogan who stated that the Egyptian ex-president Morsi was ‘killed’ during a televised speech in Istanbul, had forged close ties with Morsi, the country's first civilian president and a prominent Muslim Brotherhood member. The ties however deteriorated after the Egyptian military, then led by Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, ousted Morsi in 2013. Sisi then became president.

“Morsi was struggling on the floor in the courtroom for 20 minutes. Authorities, unfortunately, did not intervene to save him. Morsi was killed, he did not die of natural causes.” He further said he would follow up on the process related to Morsi’s death. "We will do whatever is needed for Egypt to be tried in international courts.”

Femi Falana who delivered a keynote paper at a two-day stakeholders’ dialogue on corruption in Nigeria on Tuesday in Kano, stated that APC controlled states are not fighting corruption. According to the lawyer and human rights activist, the insincerity in the anti-corruption fight has led to the inability to constitute a formal structure to fight corruption. Femi Falana further stated that apart from Kano, other APC controlled states are not fighting corruption.

He said: “Only Kano State among all the 20 APC controlled states and indeed in the entire country has been able to establish Anti-Corruption Commission as an agency to fight corruption at the state level.

“But if we are to fight corruption effectively as a country, the job shouldn’t be only that of the Federal Government. Even at the federal level too, Federal Government has too much control over EFCC and ICPC such that they are selective in their probes.”

Authorities at the  Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State, who released a statement have insisted that Appeal Court Judge, Folayemi  Omoleye, assaulted its Pastors. Recall that days ago, it was reported that Justice Folayemi  Omoleye, whose home is  near  the church,  reportedly  forced her way into its premises during a mid-week service last week  and assaulted the pastors on the grounds that the noise from the church  was disturbing her.

The RCCG who insisted that the Appeal Court Judge assaulted its Pastors, countered claims made by an alleged personal assistant of the Judge. The  church’s head of Media and Public Relations, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, further disclosed that the church had received a petition from the judge over noise and disturbance from the church and the petition was being addressed. It read in parts;

“The regrettable events of June 5, 2019 cannot be swept away in such a cavalier manner. The RCCG (Glory Tabernacle) has been on the location for about 30 years and it is a fully air-conditioned church without any external loud speaker, so complaint of noise does not arise and can be verified by anyone who desires to visit and worship with us there. Before the incident, the judge had  sent a petition in which she complained of noise and disturbance, an issue the church was already addressing. The pastor in charge had already scheduled a meeting with her prior to the incident.”

MC Galaxy who made headlines this week for various reasons, has disclosed that he used to dance at burials before his big breakthrough came. According to MC Galaxy the 'Sekem' dance has been with him for long, and he performed the move at burials and even in the market. Speaking to Saturday Beats, the singer said;
