Goveror Ifeanyi Okowa who spoke at the Niger Delta Peace and Security Summit held in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area, stated that Nigeria will break up when South-South agrees to join Biafra. The Delta State Governor who was represented by his Executive Assistant/Directorate of Orientation, Barr. Eugene. A. Uzum, stated that some parts of Nigeria were being oppressed just as he cautioned that peace may continue to elude us as a people.

Stating that Nigeria will break up when South-South agrees to join Biafra, Governor Okowa added that until the people in the South-South unite they cannot move forward.

“Nigeria will divide the very day the South-South agrees to join Biafra". He noted that the, “Federal Character system and ethnics” in the country have been grossly mismanaged by our leaders. Unless you are from a particular tribe in this country, you cannot secure a job. Unless you have one big man somewhere, you cannot get a job. Those who control the security apparatus are Hausas. A particular tribe runs the security apparatus.”

The Nigeria Broadcasting Commission, NBC South West Zonal Director, Olori Olajumoke Oginni is reportedly dead five months after marrying an Osun monarch.Though details of her death are still sketchy, however it was gathered that the NBC Director was confirmed dead on Tuesday, barely five months after she married an Osun Monarch. 

She traditionally married His Royal Highness, Oba Olatunde Oginni, the Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesha in Osun State in November 2018.  Olori Oginni got married to the monarch on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Ibadan North-West Registry, Onireke.Daily Post reported that one of the shopping complexes belonging to her husband, Olatunde Ogini shopping complex located at Dugbe, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital was shut on Wednesday as a mark to honor her after her death.

Three men who sexually assaulted 9 horses, cow, goat and dogs have bagged 41 years jail sentence as confirmed by Local 10 news. The men who sexually assaulted 9 horses, cow, goat and dogs were identified as Matthew Brubaker, 31; Marc Measnikoff, 34, and Terry Wallace, 41 and they reportedly committed the said act at Pennsylvania, USA.

The animal lovers who were sentenced to 20 to 41 years, forced themselves on a cow, a goat, nine horses and an unspecified number of dogs . It was reported that a teenage boy given the task of restraining the animals, while the twisted trio committed their bizarre crimes. Local station WTAJ who reported that the animals were placed in the care of Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, further disclosed that all horses that were assaulted by the men were all females.

A Nigerian man who tried selling his son for N200k, daughter for N150k has been arrested by the Cross River State Police Command.The 30-year-old man, Edet Essien Inyang who reportedly took his kids to Murray Street where he sought buyers to enable him raise money, said he took the path to escape poverty. An eyewitness, Edem who spoke to newsmen said;

“He came here with the children and asked after one rich man on this street and when he did not see the man, we asked him what he was looking for the man for and he said was looking for someone to buy his two children. He said the male child is N200, 000 and the female N150,000."

Edem further disclosed that in order to stop him from taking the children somewhere to sell, they had to “delay him while making efforts to contact the Police at Atakpa Police Station which is close-by, and immediately sent a team to arrest him. He said he is from Akwa Ibom State but resides in Using Inyang," Edem added.The man who tried selling his son for N200k and daughter for N150k, has since been transferred to the State Criminal Division at the Police Command headquarters for further investigations.

Efia Odo has gone Instagram, after it was revealed she had a 3some with late Junior US and controversial Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale. The allegation which adds more fuel to Efia’s fire especially on the premise that she sleeps with rich people for money, came after Shatta Wale revealed that Junior US was Efia Odo’s lover.

The controversial Reggae and Dancehall artiste who’s totally devastated by Junior’s death recorded a live video, and alleged that the radio and TV personality was Junior’s ex; an allegation Efia Odo later came out to deny. She was trolled on by Ghanaians for reportedly being cheap. However Archipalogo, a popular social media commentator, who is known as a close buddy to Junior dropped a comment online to further confirm that Efia had a sexual affair with Junior.

According to him, the deceased asked him to pay her $2,000 before they had sex. Also a popular Instagram page “those called celebs”, accused Efia Odo of having a 3some with Shatta Wale and late Junior US. Junior US was killed last week after some prostitutes he invited to chill with him brought in armed robbers. The actress who couldn't take in being trolled on after being tagged to the "shameful 3some beings” post, went off Instagram shortly after.

The Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, who spoke last weekend at his Ile-Oodua palace in Ile-Ife while receiving the Lagos State president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Solomon Ogbonna, who had as a member accompanied the delegation of African Farmers And Cultural Organisation on a courtesy visit to the palace, stated that the Igbos and the Yorubas have historical ties.According to the Ooni of Ife, the historical ties between the Igbos and Yorubas makes them inseparable members of the same family. He said at the meeting;

“I am so happy to have the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State President here as part of this empowerment initiative. Lagos is part of Yoruba land, we are all one, we are all the same. The history is there, the facts are there, and we should actually put this facts out. Why are we fighting?”

“This is your root. I said it recently, some of our Yoruba kinsmen with ignorance of our history came out with nugatory beratement of my position on the family ties between Yoruba and Igbo people. Apostle Johnson Suleman, who is the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International has bought a private jet which he showed off on the official Facebook page of his church. Apostle Johnson Suleman bought the private jet last week. The Omega Fire Ministry Dubai Facebook page also shared pictures and a video of Suleman inside his newly purchased jet.

The Facebook post reads in part; “Join us as we congratulate our father, the restoration apostle, God’s general, God’s own oracle, a dispensation of our time, the lion of Africa, Apostle Prof. Johnson Suleman on his brand new private jet for the propagation of the gospel of Christ to nations of the world with his undiluted word of power, signs, wonders, deliverance, healing and restoration and the prophetic. Recall that  in January 2018, Suleman had urged the rich to focus on helping the poor rather than buying expensive cars and private jets. According to him, wealth was measured by the number of lives one has touched and not by one’s material possessions.

The founder and spiritual leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Olumba Olumba Obu has strongly disagreed with the days of death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

According to him, Jesus died on Thursday as against the popular Good Friday that is currently being celebrated all over the world.

In a sermon to mark the Easter festivities in Calabar yesterday, he said. “I am declaring to the whole world from the highest heaven that He died for three days and three nights, just as He said. The three days are Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These three days should be wonderful days for the whole world, to fast and to mourn and to receive blessing.

“People argue that the Lord Jesus Christ was killed on Friday. This is the argument against that assertion:- If He died on Friday, then He is not the one. What you hear is what He said before it ever happened. That is why we usually preach this gospel at a time like this every year.

“I thank God immensely that the Lord Jesus Christ has openly made the declaration that He will only die for three days and three nights. I have already told you that this week is a wonderful one.

“The feast of the Passover was always celebrated on Friday. All the Jews from all parts of the world had to assemble in Jerusalem for the Passover feast on Friday. Saturday was observed as the Sabbath day, and you know how the Jews regarded the Sabbath day.

“How then would He have been crucified on Friday? That was the day of the great feast of the Passover and so they could not have crucified Him on Friday. It was because they were afraid that there would be an uproar among the people if He was crucified on Friday, the feast day. That is why His death was shifted two days backwards.

“On Thursday morning, at 6:00 a.m., he was condemned to death. From that time till Thursday evening was one day. 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday was the second day. 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday was the third day. The night of Thursday was one night. The night of Friday was the second night; and the night of Saturday was the third night. And so altogether you have three days and three nights.

“How would you compute yours? The whole of Christendom, and the so-called orthodox churches argue that He was crucified on Friday, and so they refer to that day as Good Friday. I want them to count with me whether they would have three days and three nights.”

Kodak Black has been arrested on drugs and weapon charges at US border, shortly after dominating the news ffor disrespecting Nipsey Hussle's girlfriend, Lauren London.The singer who was initially declared missing, was stopped alongside three others by U.S. Customs Agents on Wednesday.

Kodak Black who was reportedly traveling with at least two guns was stopped when entering the U.S. from Canada, before being arrested for criminal possession of a weapon -- a second degree felony -- and a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge.TMZ reported that Kodak Black mysteriously canceled a concert last minute -- pissing off a ton of fans in the process -- and his team tells us his location and the reason for the cancellation is currently unknown. A new list released by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), revealed that Nigeria's top 10 highest earning actors made N3.5 billion in 2018. The First Edition of the Official Nigerian Box Office YearBook 2018/19 released by the CEAN in partnership with Comscore, the official data reporting partner, revealed the figure is based on the total earnings of movies in the Gross Box Office for West Africa (Nigeria,Ghana and Liberia). 

The list which confirmed that Nigeria's top 10 highest earning actors made N3.5 billion in 2018, also revealed that  Folarin "Falz" Falana is Nollywood's highest earning actor of 2018. The three films he appeared in last year made N513 million. Osas Ighodaro Ajibade, Nigeria's highest-earning actress of 2018, did not take on any leading roles. However, her two movies - 'Merry Men' (N235 million) and 'King of Boys' (N226 million) - placed her right at the top of the Box Office. The second highest earning Nigerian actor, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) appeared in three films which grossed N496 million.

US Envoy, John Bray has stated that Nigeria faces a daunting economic challenges, in view of its explosive population projected to be 450 million by 2050.The United States Consulate General who spoke on Tuesdayat the Securex West Africa conference in Lagos on the theme: ‘A multi-stakeholder approach to addressing Nigeria’s security challenges,’ highlighted some of the factors contributing to economic and political instability as health crises, illegal trade in toxic chemicals, dumping of hazardous wastes and corruption among others.

“The challenges it will face in the future brought on by dramatic population increase could be even direr. Nigeria is on track to reach nearly 450 million by 2050, a number that would make it the third most populous nation in the world.  The convergence of these factors and a poor economic outlook will have a significant impact on security and stability in Nigeria,” the envoy said.

“Nigeria must address its endemic corruption.  The ability to “sign deals” that only benefit political leaders impacts Nigeria’s ability to develop its economy and encourage investment.  The United States does its best to limit corruption continent-wide.  We do so through visa regulations, business sanctions, and through training and advocacy work" he added.

Yvonne Nelson has reportedly deleted her daughter's Instagram page, and it has been linked to a shade by a Nigerian Twitter user which was shared by veteran broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah. The Nigerian Twitter user had dropped a shade for mothers, who hide behind social media accounts of their children to send sweet messages to themselves. Nana Aba Anamoah who shared the tweet, described it as a “a form of mental illness” and also added “This one will hit some dry bones”. 

Shortly after the shade from a Nigerian Twitter user which was shared by Nana went viral, it was alleged that Yvonne Nelson deleted her daughter's Instagram page. However a quick check on Instagram revealed that the account is no more on Instagram, and it appears to have been either deleted or deactivated with no exact reason known yet. Photos of the popular actress’ daughter aren’t on her mother’s page too. This left many thinking the mother of one, has fallen back to keeping her baby's life private.

10 LASPOTECH officials (Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu), have been arrested over an alleged attempted murder on campus. The 10 LASPOTECH officials who were arrested over an alleged attempted murder, had molested JAMB examiners conducting UTME on the campus.  Lagos Police Command spokesperson, DSP Bala Elkana who confirmed the arrest, told NAN that the suspects were undergoing interrogation at Special Investigation Bureau of the command.Though he did not explain how the unionists attempted to kill the JAMB officials, however he disclosed that the  JAMB officials were carrying out official duties at the institution at the time of the incident. 

“They are undergoing interrogation at the headquarters for attempted murder. They will be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded,” he said.

LASPOTECH Spokesman, Olanrewaju Kuye, who also confirmed the arrest said the officials molested two JAMB staff on official duty on the campus. Kuye said the matter was reported by JAMB to the police for investigation.

Earlier today, we reported that a Nigerian man took to Facebook to pen down his 'grief' after his bride canceled their wedding this weekend and it all bordered on money.

We reported that Bernard Marshal hinged it all on ‘irreconcilable differences’, as he admitted that he been crying after all efforts to get her to reconsider until 1am last night proved abortive.

However as we dug deep into the marital issue as the bride is yet to share her own side of the story, sources close to the couple told us that the lady works in Lagos while the man is a keyboardist at Christ Embassy, Port Harcourt. A quick check on Facebook revealed that the couple have been fighting before now over money as they threw shades on each other on the platform.

The World Bank who released the taxonomy of growth performance in sub-Saharan Africa in its latest report on the regional economy titled, ‘Africa’s Pulse’, disclosed that Nigeria's economy slipping. According to the World Bank, Nigeria's economy has been slipping since 1995 and this continued till 2018.

The apex bank who disclosed that its analysis involved a series of macroeconomic variables for 44 sub-Saharan African countries from 1995 to 2018, added that the taxonomy is used to help identify the factors that are correlated with success or failure in economic growth performance in sub-Saharan Africa, with emphasis on macroeconomic and financial variables.

The World Bank said, “The bottom tercile consists of 19 countries: Angola, Burundi, Botswana, the Republic of Congo, the Comoros , Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Liberia, Lesotho, Mauritania, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Eswatini, Chad, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.  These countries did not show any progress in their economic performance from 1995–2008 to 2015–18. For instance, their median economic growth rate decelerated, from 5.4 per cent per year in 1995–2008 to 1.2 per cent per year in 2015–18.”

Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal, and Tanzania made the top tercile.

The middle tercile countries are Benin, the Central African Republic, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cabo Verde, The Gambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Mauritius, Niger, Sudan, São Tomé and Príncipe, Togo, and Uganda.

The management of Enugu Rangers football club has stated that Christian Chukwu does not need surgery abroad, after undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment.Recall that the Grand Patron of Ex-Enugu Rangers Players Association, Benson Ejindu, had told newsmen that the ex-Super Eagles coach needed $50,000 for a trip to the United States, where he would undergo surgery, medication and general after-surgery care. 

He also revealed that a a gofundme account was opened for Chukwu’s medical treatment, and $2,450 has already been donated by various individuals as at Monday.However speaking to Punch's correspondent on Monday, Rangers media officer, Norbert Okolie who stated that Christian Chukwu doesn’t need surgery in US, said the Nigerian coach who captained the national team to their first ever Africa Cup of Nations title on home soil in 1980, was recuperating after treatment in Enugu. On if there was need for Chukwu to embark on a trip abroad, he said; 

“Not at all. He’s undergone surgery in Enugu and doctors have certified him fit. He was advised to stay in a hotel after treatment to ensure that he’s not disturbed by sympathisers. His (Chukwu) family didn’t want to make this a public issue but the management of the club had to come out when Ejindu stated that Chukwu needed $50,000 for surgery in the US and that he’s been abandoned by Enugu State Government and Rangers. That’s not true.“He has had this health challenge for three weeks and the (Enugu) state government supported him all through. Very soon, we’ll have Chukwu walking on his feet again.”
