Tame26: this might be fake. But someone did exactly thesame to me not up to marriage, but he only asked me out just to prove a point to his friends. The relationship was great, he only disclosed this when it was going sour. "Not up to marriage". Exactly The marriage thing is what marks it a fake story. That and "abroad guy" |

Nairalander248: Because you no dey believe no mean say e never happened. If they didn't wrote it down that King Solomon married 700 wives including Jennyclay as one of his 300 concubines, would you have believed? Tory is FAKE "There was this abroad guy that came back, did introduction and traditional marriage (with live band, buffet kitchen, canopy and all that) just to chop my hard-to-get cousin." |

YoungLionken: My subtle advice to every lady out there (directly or indirectly) is..
Stay with your man (whether broke or not) as long as he has sense and know what he's doing regarding the future, because there are so many vipers in a man's form out there. You would hardly (not impossible but improbable) see a better man than your man outside..
You can imagine the mental, emotional damage and shame on the said lady. She may never have the desire to marry, ever again!.
As for the SIMPs who keep enduring the consistent misbehaviors of their woman. Go out there and see what most women are passing through in the hands of men. But yet, you intentionally allow yourself to in constant stress with your problematic woman in the excuse of "I love her and I must make it work". To you she's the best because you haven't opened your mind to other options way better... Sooo, u advising ladies to stay with their men, and meanwhile advising men to look 4 better options.. Weh done. Meanwhile explain how "mental, emotional damage and shame" can result from a FOOL spending all his time and money on marriage just to have sex with you. Same sex u enjoyed as much as him, and have enjoyed with others 4 free (or even "paid" them 4 it, as the case may be!) |

Longpriq: i know someone was going to say that. but the real reason is that it goes for N125 naira but who goes around with N5 these days thats why they grudginly sell for N120 but once you're with a higher naira note lets say N500 Then you understand better. I can clearify your point without any abuse. there was no need calling me a liar, when i made that comment i was just returning from the shop i got some wraps. its the new price here, sadly we are getting used to it Well, in that case just say 2 for 250 or 4 for 500. Sorry for calling you a damed liar for saying price of something goes up if you buy more! |

Are you cursed to be irresponsible? Or are you brainless? Why the vitriol? I only said fuel scarcity is not new to us - and OP said no one has ever seen N1000 per liter b4! |

wonder233: In your narrow mind, you've defended whatever persuasion you belong to Let me educate you: The purchasing power of a country's currency within that country is a function of the country's prevailing economic indices. That 4-dollars per litre in America in relative terms may not be as punitive to the American living in America compared to the N1,000 per litre to a Nigerian living in Nigeria. . Market forces don't care about your purchasing power. Unless you subsidize, market forces do their thing! |

PriceActionZ: Nothing new, this was 49 years ago. una go curse tinubu tire. Nigeria can't work. The elites have high jacked it since independence thereby recruiting their friends, friends of friends, families, friends of families, replacing them with friends, concubines, bastards, friends of concubines, grand children, cousins and so on and the circle continues. As long as the present form of government is used in Nigeria, no president, or the one to be can ever repair it. None. To me, regional government is much better and competitive.
By the way, mega stations are way cheaper, and most times, more than independent marketers own in the range of 100 and above per liter, and yet you are shortchanged. That's why you see those queues. Where did you get 49 years from??! Article says clearly 6 years ago!

Business › Re: CBN Lists Deposit Money Banks In Nigeria (see Full List) by DaddyCoool(f): 12:35pm On May 09, 2024 |
18wheeler: It’s a bank very well. It’s licensed as a Micro Finance Bank, and not a commercial bank. Micro Finance Banks offer almost every banking service that commercial banks do, they issue cards, internet and mobile banking, receive deposits from their clients and so on. But let’s say you want to raise a letter of credit to make payment for an import, Opay cannot issue you that unless they pass through a commercial bank. Another one is something like a bank Guarantee. An Opay or similar bank cannot issue that to its customers independent of the commercial bank it maintains account with. But they offer transactional services like any other. The major difference between them and the traditional MFBs we know is that they are majorly digital while the trad ones are mainly brick & mortar like we have in the rural areas. Thanks. emmyclassic: Average minimum wage per hour in America is $14. So an average American on minimum wage is spending less than half of an hour pay to buy a gallon of patrol, In Nigeria were minimum wage is 30,000 naira one would be spending a whole days pay to buy same 1 litre of petrol. So how does the comparison work oga? Price of fuel is set by market forces not how much u make |

seborrhic: You don't even understand the point the Op is making, which is: because of the exorbitant price of fuel, even so called bigmen are ready to spend hours at fuel stations that are selling at affordable price of 650+ rather than enter without hassle and buy at those selling at 800-1k Same thing obtained 7 years ago and before. Billionaires queueing up to save pennies! |

guobe: I drove past a Mega petrol station just now and the queue I saw there shocked me. Even big men with big jeeps are in the queue which is so long that even 4 hours will not be enough to get to your turn. The current Government is presently humbling everybody that even its diehard supporters are currently in pains and seeking for succour. The price of fuel at Mega petrol stations are cheaper than others who now sell for between 800 naira to 1000 naira. Even with an increase in minimum wage ,a public servant will still spend all his money buying fuel if he owns a car and that is why most public servants have dropped their cars at home. On the flip side, please everyone should take care of him or herself, eat healthy,go for exercise, relax when you need to and once in a while take yourself out . Stay healthy and may God continue to bless us all. Nothing new. Below, 7 years ago
