mymadam: Interesting. With my domiciliary current account, my bank always deducts around 1% on withdrawal, but with my domiciliary savings account, I actually get a little interest.
Modified: Just checked my domiciliary accounts. A recent withdrawal from my savings account also attracted the deduction. Na wa o!
One of those things 🤷🏽♂️ So maybe it was because I was closing the account. It was $290 and some change. They gave me $290. The change was not up to 1% of 290. I was really surprised too when the teller counted out the money and handed it to me. I was expecting a serious hit |

Please do you mean that the Most High God Yahweh resurrected ,restored a dead Person to the position of being worshipped as God?
According to your Bible, @ Matthew 4:10,did Jesus Christ believe in your claim? In heaven,@ Revelation 19:10, did Jesus Christ believe in your claim? Which Person did Jesus instruct you to worship at Revelation 19:10?
The Most High God Yahweh never instructed anyone to worship another Person in heaven or earth. . OK, it was men that restored him. Or don't you believe he was raised from the dead? |

By Elizabeth Adegbesan The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, on Friday announced it has introduced the Non-Resident Nigerian Ordinary Account (NRNOA) and Non-Resident Nigerian Investment Account (NRNIA) for Nigerians in diaspora.
CBN disclosed this in a circular to all authorized dealer banks and the general public noting that NRNOA will enable Non-Resident Nigerians (NRNs) remit their foreign earnings to Nigeria and manage funds in both foreign and local currencies.
The circular signed by Ag. Director, Trade and Exchange Department, CBN, Dr. W.J Kanya stated: “The Central Bank of Nigeria is pleased to inform the general public of the introduction of the NRNOA and NRNIA targeted at Nigerians in diaspora.
“The NRNOA enables Non-Resident Nigerians (NRNs) to remit their foreign earnings to Nigeria and manage funds in both foreign and local currencies, while the (NRNIA) enables Non-Resident Nigerians (NRNS) to invest in assets in Nigeria in either foreign currency (FCY) or local currency (Naira).
“Account holders may maintain both a foreign currency (FCY) account and/or a local currency (Naira) account to facilitate transactions and participate in diverse investment opportunities.
“The benefits derivable include but are not limited to the following: Improved access for NRNs to opportunities in the Nigerian economy and increased contribution of diaspora community to the socio-economic development of Nigeria.
“NRNS can use their NRNIA to participate in Nigeria’s Diaspora Bond and other debt instruments issued locally specifically targeted at the Nigerian diaspora or available to the investing public.
“The account will also serve as a conduit for NRNs to manage their funds directly in a safe and secure environment, and reduce the reliance on third parties in meeting local commitments and obligations.
“Effective 1st January 2025, eligible NRNS shall have the opportunity to own any of the Non-resident Nigerian accounts, subject to meeting KYC requirements which will be made available in FAQs to be released soon.
“This policy is without prejudice to Memorandum 17 of the CBN Foreign Exchange Manual (2018).” https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2025/01/cbn-introduces-ordinary-investment-bank-accounts-for-nigerians-in-diaspora/amp/ |

Nachmonides: If you were told all that you knew that you held dear to you was false, how would you react?, knowing it'll affect your life, relationships both with those who taught you the same false ideas and those whom you have taught—Your friends, ideas, parents, loved ones, yourself.
Typical case is the stages of grief
One thing I would have said acting on my sensual nature would be that they (JWs) are good since they believe that Christ died for Sins and Rose the third day (I'm not really sure on this though but most I've engaged with say they do), however I've had to repent of that thought, because half a truth is no truth at all. It's a lie.
God's word is clear. Voila! Generally speaking JW is NOT a bad cult, but it is a CULT, and ultimately a cult is not a good thing. And we're seeing examples of why right here - inability to deviate an inch from teachings and parroting! |

Is it not commonsense enough that the event had the hand of the DIVINE/MIRACULOUS? Once you throw in "hand of the DIVINE/MIRACULOUS" that ends the discussion! Because then anything becomes possible - including that Noah could have built the ark in a day! |

gohf: why are you mentioning me? MaxInDHouse: To alert Nachmonides that you're not of our faith! Don't know who you people are trying to fool. You are BOTH obviously JW. What I don’t understand about you folks is: It was prophesied thousands of years in advance that "Everlasting Father, Mighty God" was comming to dwell with us. When he came he himself said he was that God, he accepted worship, forgave sins, etc. Then despite being killed which ought have been the end, he was raised from the dead and ended up being worshipped as exactly that God he and the prophets said he was! And not just for 2 or 3 years but for thousands of years till today and his worship getting stronger everyday. My question is, what would it take to convince you people that he indeed is God??!! |

Nazgul: Rejecting a gift that you can afford more than a 100 times isn't a virtue. If I have 10 bags of pure water in my house, I can easily reject a sachet from a friend cos I have more than enough.
Truth is no struggling pastor would reject such gift regardless of the source of income of the giver.
During his struggling days, he would have happily accepted it and called it the will of God. So it's nothing special. If you watched the video he didn't actually reject a house. He didn't have a house but refused to go look at a house because it was time for church. The person never said he was giving him the house |

HeatSeeker: That is exactly where it should be! The business section.
The truth is that the real consequences of defaulting on loan apps is not yet completely understood. We don't fully know to what extent the loan recovery agents can go to get you to pay up.
They already have your bvn and can make a formal request to access your funds lodged in other banks. Whether this request will be granted or not is another issue.
Loan refinancing and restructuring is badly needed in this industry. There is no reason people should not be allowed to pay at their own pace if they cannot meet the initial amortisation schedule.
For now act as if nothing will happen. But do your best to pay up when you are able to get on your feet again. We like to copy the West, why can't we copy them on this. Below are their rules about collecting debt:
