Antoeni: The Kaduna State Government has declared a three-day public holiday to enable more citizens to complete their voter registration.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, on Tuesday, saying the holiday is from July 27 to 29th.
He said the move is necessary so that more Kaduna electorates will be able to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and participate in the 2023 general elections.
While urging all eligible residents of the state to seize this window to register to vote and to therefore be in a position to exercise their right to vote, Adekeye disclosed that the government requests all employers to actively support their staff to register before INEC closes voter registration on July 31.

Nairaland General › Apostle Johnson Suleiman: Does He Use Women For Rituals? by DaddyFreeze2020(op): 11:22am On Jul 26, 2022 |
Apostle Johnson Suleiman, founder of Omega Fire Ministry is a Nigerian pastor who has had a lot of issues with women.
We have heard one or two stories of some Pastors having affairs with women, but that's where it ends.
However something definitely is wrong somewhere with this so called "MOG".
It is puzzling and mind boggling how only one particular pastor can be called out by several ladies (majorly celebrities) within the space of few years of having sexual affairs with them.
Could he be using popular women as a form of rituals to renew some powers or what? |

Don't be silly Maybe in Lagos. Here in Abuja, I've not seen Even when I took a flight to Lagos, almost all the Uber cars I saw where Toyota Corlla 2003 model at the MMA airport. I didn't see any of them using Honda. No too hype Honda because you dey use am |

HenryWilliams: Say what you know. Honda engines are just as reliable as Toyota especially the V6. Go check out most of the Pilots, Ridgeline and MDX on the road many are exceeding over 200k miles and still running fine. Mine is well over 249k miles and still steams in the morning. You're using your own car as an example. Anyway congratulations, at least we know your car engine is sound. Nevertheless Toyota still beats Honda in durability, repairablity, efficiency, availability and distance to cover. Btw I've never see anyone using Honda for Uber or Bolt except for once. Why is it all Toyota cars? |

The Governments of the day from both PDP/APC political parties do not value the importance of education.
Nigerians are hoping if Labour Party comes on board, things will be better educationally as its Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates are lovers of education. |
Politics › Atiku: Tinubu Wanted To Be My Running Mate In 2007. I Refused Coz We Are Muslims by DaddyFreeze2020(op): 6:05am On Jul 23, 2022 |
Atiku said these during an interview with Arise Television which aired on Friday.
“Of course, we are still friends but that doesn’t mean we will not have political differences. We have been having political differences since we became friends,” he stated.
When asked if he was determined to defeat Tinubu despite their relationship, the former Vice-President said, “Of course.”
He, however, disagreed with Tinubu for picking a Muslim as his running mate, adding that this would be a threat to Nigeria’s unity.
“I don’t believe in that. I don’t believe it is right for a country like Nigeria that is multi-ethnic, multi-religious and there should be balancing of interest,” Atiku stated.
He recalled that while he was running for President in 2007, Tinubu wanted to be his running mate but he dismissed the idea because they were both Muslims.
The former vice-president claimed that this made Tinubu to abandon him for the candidate of the PDP, Umaru Yar’Adua, who won the election.
“Remember I came out of the PDP on the issue of zoning and together with him we formed ACN and I was given a ticket in Lagos and he insisted on being my running mate and I said no, I am not going to have a Muslim-Muslim ticket. So he switched his support to the late Umaru Yar’adua. That was the departing point,” Atiku stated.
He also dismissed the argument that Tinubu’s choice of Kashim Shettima – who is also from the North-East like Atiku – could give him (Tinubu) an advantage.
Atiku noted that of the six states in the North-East, only Borno and Yobe are dominated by the Kanuri tribe of which Shettima is a part of.
“Certainly my prospects are much higher. If you know thev composition of the North-East, you have Borno and Yobe. These are essentially two Kanuri states and then you have the other states which are essentially Hausa/Fulani. So, even if people are going to vote on that basis, I think I have a more favourable position from the North-East,” he stated. |

Politics › Re: PO, BAT, ATIKU- Some Of Us Are Undecided. by DaddyFreeze2020(m): 2:59am On Jul 23, 2022 |
You're reeling out irrelavant statistics when your house is almost on fire, rather than looking for which candidate may likely be an extinguisher. God forbid, when one of your family members is kidnapped and you're left with no choice than to start begging people for money or trying to raise ransom, then you'll decide on who is the best to vote. For now, you're just a carefree person enjoying yourself within the comfort of your house who doesn't know how Nigeria is. Lindner: Looking at the three most popular candidates in the forthcoming election, I can say I've never been more confused.
Was discussing with some of my guys and I won't kid myself, it's a decision for the least evil choice among the three. Sorry to say, if these are the best Nigeria has to offer again (as always), we're still in deep shit.
ATIKU He's been an active participant in the shit we find ourselves as a country today. When that name is mentioned, what I hear is corruption and the continuation of institutionalized corruption and bad governance. He was once a VP, so he has no point to proof. He created part of the problem we're in.
BAT Too many baggages. The fact that allegations cannot be proven does not mean they are false. It may just mean the perpetrator is to smart to cover his tracks. Plus, this man should just be resting and taking care of his health. Looks too frail. The complexity of our problems require agility. I just don't see how BAT can give even 50% of himself to the job consistently over 4 or 8 years. And I keep hearing about how he looted Lagos state dry.
PO Looks good on paper but I can't just see any evidence of historical performance except vague statistics. They said he transformed Anambra. If today's Anambra is the transformed version and the standard for performance, all hope may be lost. And again, I'm weary of the 2015 rhetorics of "never-do-wrong, ultimate solution to all our problems" that made Buhari president. I'm also not just comfortable rooting for the same candidate as IPOBs, their sympathizers and people who didn't wish Nigeria well but all of a sudden are interested in the country. Seem to me there's an ulterior motive (whether PO is aware ot not). I just don't want to help them gain power by contributing my vote- whatever the motive.
Here is my dilemma and some of the real issues to be discussed when campaigning for your candidates instead of the ethno-religious nonsense that is plaguing us as a nation. The standard is so low to the point that our expectations are pathetic. Our best candidates are just a bunch of people from the same stock. |
