i just thank God for everthing so far.i got my green card on sunday after 3 weeks arrival here in the states,the green card fine well well no be small see u guys later.

Since you have gotten the welcome letter you don't have any problem then, your GC would get to you in matter of days (exclude weekends). Your GC comes in a single sealed letter envelope.[/quote]

hello please am a little bit worried,i cane into california on june 15th,i have gotten my ssn but am still waiting for my green i received a letter from uscis today confirmirming my greeen card fee payment which i payed since may and a welcome letter....i was hoping i should get my greencard by now since it has been more than 3weeks since i came here.please i will like to know the kind of paper that is mailed together with the green card,thanks.

hello my fellow nairalanders,i thank God for my life and for safe trip.i left naija on friday around 8:50 via emirate to dubai for more than 7 hours then another flight to los angeles which lasted for more than 16 hours.my host picked me up from the airport....mehn america is such a beautiful place,though am still sufferinng from jet lag.i went to apply for my ssn today,and am getting in 7-10 working days,am feling sleepy already av to go now.later

Timika: Pls house having issues with first school leaving certificate. Went to d school and they couldnt find it, and besides, the date of birth they wrote in their register is different from my date of birth by one year. Pls will a cover note from the school be enough to spare me trouble @ d embassy? Or what should i do?

femsjo,this army stuff has been on my mind and its even tempting...i'll consider it maybe after some hard thinking...@ least the administrative wing is better since its 8 yrs stuff,after that you can do other things.

I collected my visa and brown envelop today @gss..i just dey happy since,see u later!!!!.

@husman,begging and negotiation will not help you because money is so tempting..guy go find top military officer explain to am,him go fit give like some of his boys if u get money u feed them inside guardroom till u collect ur visa,na naija u dey nobody go question u..d only option to is force.

yea am relaxed now,my oga @ the top(God) has done it..i moved yesterday evening from okota to onikan in order not to miss the interview...i passed through hell because the guy i was directed to don't even have a wrapper not to talk of carpet or mattrass to sleep on,while i dey sleep 4 under air condition 4 my uncle house @ okota....i have to borrow wrapper from his neigbour because there is no way i can go back to okota @ that time,so i endured.
I woke up around 3:13am because i was nt comfortable,started browsing(if u check u'll see my post around 3:33am).
I arrived @ the embassy like 15 minutes to 5(i was the 1st person there),waited until 6:00am a police man came and scanned us.later we were told to line up(i was no3 in immigrant queue).submitted 2nl only and passed through security checks(very tight).
Paid my dv fee 330 dollars(i paid in dollars) @ window 22.
Later called to submit my documents @ window 17.
After 5 interviews i was called to window 14(a cute white guy),he dint even tell me i just put my hanh there take finger print,the interview went thus:

If one is not satisfied with the report from Q-Life Family Clinic and one cannot wait for the 10 week period which they said it would take to complete the further test, can I go and do another test at Children Practice for confirmation? If yes what about the vaccine that one received during the first test at Q-Life? Will there be any side effects if one receives the vaccine again? Or what can one do concerning the vaccine? Please I need your advice. Thanks.

if u go to children practice,they will ask u if u av done the medicals b4...tell them yes but u are not satisfied with the x-ray and hear wat they will say.luck

I know a host that his guest refused to find work, he got a Mall work, guest said it was demeaning and did not cook even when groceries were there. At least, guest's wife and son left for Nigerian and he finally left as well. Just as Australians do when they land, get into a hotel for two days and use those to get an apartment. The problem is we emigrate with virtually nothing and expect host to cater for all ur concerns. Hosts are humans and their orientation has changed.

pstadabi: Sorry for the delay of my testimony...i was totally drunk yesterday ....my E-Family yesterday was tougher than ever its only three window that interview yesterday but window 16 that devil white lady and window 15 that tallest talker-thief white guy was busy denying pple..... well i just thank God for divine mercy that work for me yesterday.....Here is the interview goes... we were called at 7am and they started there normally security check....my pple Yankee security is too tight we just dey go frm one check point to another like say person carry exhibit.. ...After the successful of the security checking which is face one i proceed to the main hall and my number was called at window 20 where a black Nigerian guy was attending to me ...then after that i proceed to pay my money which is 330 dollar... then i finished those one which is face two as usual then i went to sit waiting for my number to be called..... the fist window that started is that God fearing white guy in window 14... i swear the guy na God sent to nigeria ...and after window 15 joined him and later that witch lady window 16 jst dey appear like invisble...To God be the glory my number was beep at window 14..i beg my body shake first ooooooooo...so here is the interview
