As you rightly mentioned earlier, Quebec PNP is not by any means insync with the federal Express Entry system. Once an applicant is issued a CSQ, the applicant is required to submit a paper application for PR to IRCC where criminality and medical checks are done. This is why it takes IRCC 17 months to process applications from Quebec PNP nominees as against 6 months for applicants nominated by other provinces. It is however unclear whether IRCC sticks to Quebec's requirements for POF or theirs, hence the reason for this enquiry. Regards, 40manlappy: You are welcome. For clarification, do you mean to apply again under Express Entry after obtaining Quebec's approval or to apply for PR card? Maybe you can share what you read here. |

Ok, noted Sir/Ma'am. Tnx Tojued: I responded based on knowledge of other pnps. Apparently quebec is very different like 40man pointed out so I withdraw my response. |

Really? Please, did you go through this route or have someone that did? Tojued: Yes |

Thanks for the feedback boss and it is quite appreciated. However, it is required that one applies to the Government of Canada for PR after obtaining a CSQ from Quebec. I have read this on Quebec's website. 40manlappy: Quebec immigration program is not like other PNPs where you still have to apply to IRCC after obtaining the CSQ. It is a separate program that allows a beneficiary to reside and work in Quebec just like obtaining PR under the FSW program allows you to stay in other parts of Canada. Even on the Express Entry application, it is indicated clearly that you cannot apply to Quebec using that medium. As far as I know, it is either FSW/PNP or CSQ, you cannot obtain both. So I doubt that the POF will apply.
You may visit their website below to obtain more information on the financial requirements.

Hello Seniors, For the benefit of those who are looking to migrate to Canada through Quebec PNP, I will like to ask the below question(s). For QPNP, it is required that one applies for a CSQ (certificate of nomination) and thereafter use same to apply to the Federal (IRCC) for Permanent Resident (PR) visa. As you are aware that Quebec has its own required settlement fund which is way below that of the Federal. For example, POF required by Quebec for 2 adults and 1 child (under 18 years old) is $5,150 while that of the Federal is $19,093. So the question is, while QPNP accepts $5,150 from a family of 3 as stated above for the issuance of a CSQ, will IRCC ask for $19,093 for the issuance of a PR or use that of Quebec? Kindly assist to torchlight this matter. Thank you cc: maternal, 40manlappy, azed1, salford, salford1, vcole, blackbuddy, koonlay5, xx01, other experienced landed seniors, all. |

Thanks for the heads up bigfido. BTW, which one is the highlighted below? bigfido: Hello people. been a minute. While it is ok to dance when you get ppr, don't bask too much in the euphoria o. Real work starts even before and after you land. finding a house to rent- this could be very challenging, registering the kids in schools, applying for all sorts of things, doing test and exams for driver's license etc. The major one, of course, is getting a job. like I said, the major and real work starts when you get ppr. Here is wishing you all the best. Today marks 3 months since I landed in Canada. So far so good, it has been awesome. Having to relearn a lot of things is no joke. As much as possible, ask questions when you get ppr. join WhatsApp groups and ask questions. If you don't have information here, you go suffer no be small. so ask questions. do your research, read a lot on the internet ati bebe lo. back into my hustle. good luck to everyone
And for all it is worth, make sure you get your driver's license before you land. If you don't have one now, start hustling for it. It will save you at least 2 years from having to be a learner. Very important o! If you already have it, get your driving abstract from frsc too and letter of no claims from your insurance company. Best of luck again. |

It is not of him that willeth, neither of him that runneth but of the Lord that showeth mercy. 7 pages (and still counting) celebrating a selfless being Plenty silent readers came out of their hidden places to voice out and celebrate a leader who has been leading by serving. Of a truth, you are one of a kind. Your PPR announcement and showers of celebration have taught me never to relent in doing good. You're really worthy of emulation. Recall I called you when you were offline for almost three days. I didn't know why I worried about you. Thanks for reviewing the JD for my new NOC. Thanks for gingering me not to give up on this journey. Thanks for encouraging me to prepare well for my next IELTS (4th attempt). Thanks for sending me questions on writing and wanting to review the answer (though I'm yet to attempt it) Thanks for responding to my emails and text messages. Thanks for picking my calls too. I pray that the King of kings will always be there for you and your family. Help will always come your way even when you did not make any request. I hope we will still have you around. I also hope we meet someday. Much love for you @newmum0615. |

Thanks a bunch for the feedback boss. maternal: I was under the impression you have to be fluent in French to get the PNP ? If not, do what you have to do, to get to Canada. As for your questions, it can be challenging but I know there are English companies in Montreal. I have English speaking friends who live and are successful in Montreal. But if you go to a Quebec city for example; forget it. |

Nothing really, peradventure it's the easiest way to immigrate to through PNP. maternal: What's attracting you to Quebec is the question. |

Thanks boss for your opinion. Waiting on others too for theirs. AZeD1: This is personal decision and it depends on your outlook on life. When I moved to Ottawa, I applied to jobs in Montreal and even had interviews there. If I had gotten any of the jobs, I would have moved. Would it have been easy, no but I would have been forced to learn French (which is good in my own opinion). I would never let a skill I can acquire stop me from reaching my goals.
Can you move to other province in the future? Yes |

Dear Seniors, trust you are all doing fine.
Please would you advise a non-french speaker to reside and work in Quebec? What are the prons and cons?
Also, if one gets to immigrate to Quebec via PNP, can one leave for another province after staying in Quebec for a while and for how long can one stay before leaving?
Any thoughts please?
