I was in Church last about 8 years ago. All I remember was that it was extremely hot. I mean, its ironic that we were basically in hell in the one place that was sopposed to save us from hell. grin

I learned my lesson. Haven't been to church ever since. If you want to be out of hell, stay out of the damn 118 degree church. cheesy

Since we are talking about faith, I was thinking of getting statues of Ogun, Orumila, Obatanla and Sango (Major Yoruba gods) and putting them in my room. Just a little something to piss off family. cheesy

Maybe donate a little blood every now and then to the statues. (My blood, not yours. cool

) Well, I guess you could get some of your blood with out cutting yourself. At least you can once every month. But is that any good?

Haha. We did? Anyhoo, I'm great. I went to the movies today to see 'The break-up', I ended up drooling (Vince Vaughn). I spent some quality time with my friends. How about you?

Hmm. . . lets see. I woke up around 6 a.m. and packed boxes. At around 8 a.m., I was still packing boxes. In fact, packing boxes is all I have been doing for the past 2 days. My muscles are killing me and I have a bloody head ache. Buts on a good note, today would be last day of the move (helping my sister move) so I can get back to a normal life.

I also have to get a new job because she is moving too far away from my old job (I am only down in Maryland for the summer). So, I feel like I just ruined the past 4 weeks of my life climbing the social ladder at work. Buts its fine, I would get over it in a few weeks. Besides, I am going swimming tomorrow. Hmm. . . I hope all the hot chicks skip church to and come over the pool. cool

What does the wiseness of the masses (please, don't use this word to refer to people. It is degrading) have to do with military rule. When has a Nigerian military regime ever been installed due to populous uprising? If there is a click of 20, well positioned army Officers (Within or closely linked to the Military council, they could stage a successful coup and nothing would happen. Trust me, once the first 500 people are killed (if it even has to be this much) the rest would fall in line. People are by design hardwired to follow authority.

Especially with the strong centralized authority that Nigeria is using a coup is very easy to conduct. Kill off the President (don't have to worry about VP because thats a useless postion with no actual power. In fact, the Vice President is actually inferior to State Governors and any member of the national assembly). The State Governors would flee with their ill gotten wealth (note: The State government at best has limited control over the Police force. Good luck stopping the army with silly police barricades and jeeps. Thats even assuming the Police would take on responsibility that they were never designed to do. I.E, they are not being paid to fight off the army). Broadcast the coup and claim to have far reaching popular support with Generals all over the country. Appoint Generals to administer States and create a somewhat broad based military council that includes either Hausa and Igbo, Yoruba and Igbo, or Yoruba and Hausa. All three would be best if your goal is to keep the country at relative peace. There you go, new military regime is installed. Lastly, spill as much blood as needed till the people become complacent and accepting of the new reality.
