Zionchic, you are assuming that Nigerian soldiers actually go to war. grin

They don't. They stage coups and then wreck the economy.

I don't care what God said. I don't believe in your precious God/Gods. I don't worship any Gods.

I say people should stop being so goddamn selfish and leave some space for animals to live. It is not right to take up all the space by reproducing. Aren't there enough people already?

I don't want children. As far as I am concerned, there are already too many people in the world. I will not be a part of the problem.

PoliticsRe: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by DaHitler(m): 1:34am On Jun 07, 2006
LoverBwoy, additional information to support my claim that the North controls the country, according to the Nigerian government, Kano State (core North State) has only 300 thousand less people than lagos. In case you don't know, that is a blatant lie. Lagos State is estimated to have at the very least, 13 million people, but the government only has it down for 5.8 million so the south-West won't get additional representatives in the National Assembly. A lot of this crap is going on in other southern States. The population has always been manipulated to favor the north so they can fulfill their self advocated destiny of being born to rule.
PoliticsRe: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by DaHitler(m): 1:14am On Jun 07, 2006
Yes, the north is in control militarily and politically. And they would continue to be in control of those two branches till the middle of the middle belt wake up and stop allowing themselves to be pawns for IBB and co.

I think OBJ realizes he lacks the support to actually move against the northern power base. While he is not an absolute puppet, he is perfectly fine with banning OPC, but he has done little if anything to stop the Islamic extremist that commit mass murder in the North.

If I was OBJ, I would slowly relocate a lot of military equipment down south under the guise of sending them by port to be repaired by the Americans. I would then recall soldiers to return to their region of Origin. Once this is done, expell the core Northern States (Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Yobe, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Adamawa, Kaduna, Plateau and Taraba) from the union.

Of course, a civil war would break out, but they would lose because all the advanced military equipment would be in the souther region. Once they have lost, force them to recognize the sovereignty of the Southern region. Then split the southern region into West and East.

Declare sovereignty for both the West and the East. Problem solved.
PoliticsRe: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by DaHitler(m): 1:00am On Jun 07, 2006
LoverBwoy, things are still the same because the core-North made sure they gave themselves the majority of the seats in the National Assembly and local government areas. So, even if OBJ wanted to build more military basis in other regions (which he doesn't because he is a puppet put in place by the North) he would still need to get a majority vote from the national assembly before he can build any additional bases.

Also note, that in the 35 years that the Generals from you know where used to wreck our economy, they also built massive military basis in Kano and other Northern power bases.
PoliticsRe: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by DaHitler(m): 12:56am On Jun 07, 2006
LoerBwoy, the British put the vast majority of millitary bases in the North. That is the reason the Igbos could not break away from the abomination they call Nigeria.

As for the comments about the South westerners, all the academics in the world does not mean squat unless you can defend yourself from the tyrants (see: Generals from you know where).

To make matters worse, the Hausas also made sure that many of the soldiers serving in different parts of the nation came from another region. This makes it harder to stage a secession attempt.

Danmasani, the 2 thousand + people that were massacred by the mujahidens during the implentation of Sharia in Kaduna did not kill themselves. Or did they?

My information on Northern Nigeria comes from first hand and second hand sources. Non of which are related to western media. Maybe you should encourage your core-North brothers to support their news papers so they don't lose all credibility by taking hand outs from illiterate Generals.

Danmasani, it is up to you to convince me that the northerners are not to blame for most of Nigerias ill. Merely telling me my comments are "pissing you off" is not going to do anything to change my mind. Of course, being that you are from the north, you never had to articulate your position. You could just slash with you famous soya dagger. . . right? cheesy

Don't you get it? the north does not want to band together. They just want to use the southern States because their land sucks.

For those who would claim I am lying, refer to the religion inspired riots that left thousands of southerners dead in the North.

my2cent, I have sturdied a lot of Nigerian pre-colonial history. Trust me, I a right.
What ethnic group do you from?
PoliticsRe: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by DaHitler(m): 10:46pm On Jun 06, 2006
my2cent, I don't that is a valid solution. That would just lead to a every one taking turns looting the coffers of the State.
PoliticsRe: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by DaHitler(m): 10:35pm On Jun 06, 2006
my2cents, there are not 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria. You must understand that the basis on which ethnic groups are defined is very shady. A lot of these so called 250 groups are actually just splinter cells of larger groups. You can see the splinter cell happening right now if you view the Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi that often side with the northerners. They are Yorubas, but their cultural roots are being eroded due to their acceptance of Islam. They are now siding with the Hausas over their traditional Yorubas that mainly practice Christianity and traditional Gods.

That is the reason why we must act fast. We must save certain groups from going too far away from the original design for them to be re-introduce to the larger body. All those so called smaller groups are strongly influenced by the larger groups, and even if they had no desire to join the larger body, they have no choice. They would have been swallowed up had the British not have intervened. Technically, all the smaller groups are either Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa that failed to fully naturalize into their destiny.

my2cent, but I don't want a united Africa. United Nigeria is already bad enough. I just want State borders that make sense. As it is now, the borders in ALL sub Saharan Africans countries are fake. That is not right. Only in Africa do you have more internal threat to the nation than you do from external forces. That just isn't right. It is also not right to call on Nigerians to act as one when they come from many different cultures. They have never been one and at this rate, it would take hundreds of years to make Nigeria one. Wasting 200 or so years to come up with national identity is time we do not have. Lets go back to the drawing board, and at the very least create 3 semi autonomous regions.
PoliticsRe: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by DaHitler(m): 10:04pm On Jun 06, 2006
my2cents, what about there being no basis on which to form a country don't you understand? Face it, the foundation is not there. Nigeria should have never existed. Britain should have taken Prime empires and joined them with regions that they had semi control over. That would have led to a more natural transition in the country.

For instance, instead of Nigeria, South-Western Nigeria + Edo+ Ondo+ Delta+Kogi + Kwara +Parts of Niger State and most of Benin and parts of Togo should have been joined together to form a country. All those regions I mentioned have a long history of being under the direct and indirect influence of the Oyo empire, and until the people of Kwara converted to Islam and began to wage civil war against the Oyo empire, things were going pretty well. That is the basis that should be used to form a nation. Not some stupid abomination made up by men that couldn't even speak 1/6th of the language of natives whose land they felt it was their destiny to carve up and make into states. That is the reason why sub Saharan Africa is freaking mess.
